RACE TWO

LIVING GRAND (1) started from gate 2 here in a 2nd division qualifier 3 starts back when landing his best gate for a long time. With a quick beginner in gate 1 he had to settle with the running line when trying to work home in the closing stages. Hustling hard he can look to take control and lead throughout.

BUMPER (4) was buried away on the pegs last start in a much tougher contest and ran home in good order behind the airborne MR KALYPSO. Forced to work in the run 2 starts back from gate 4 over thee 2040m trip, he can look to take an early shot and whether in front or not is still a threat in this.

FARRAHFOWLER (7) started from gate 10 last start and was tracking home in good order to finish 6m from the winner. A nice winner 5 starts back she can get the perfect trip here and be ready to strike.

MOTU REAL STYLE (9) did plenty of work in the early stages last start when circling from the 2nd line to get to the breeze. In for the fight she was only 4.5m from the all the way winner LYNNSANITY. A strong winner 2 starts back she can challenge here.

SELECTIONS: LIVING GRAND (1), BUMPER (4), FARRAHFOWLER (7), MOTU REAL STYLE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: LIVING GRAND (1) to win

RACE THREE

MACH SAM (9) is approaching 6 months since his last victory, however his past few races have indicated another win is not far away. 2 starts back from gate 6 he was doing his best work in the closing stages when 6m from the winner and last start caught the eye in the final 200m. With some good front line pressure he can arrive.

CROWNING GLORY (4) is struggling to recapture his best and on Sat night looked to get every chance from the pocket trail but couldn’t go when the speed picked up. He can have a dip for the front here and with his best work coming from there can look to return sharper performance.

ULTIMATE COURAGE (2) was banished to the trials last start and has gone around twice to get back on track, the 2nd of those against some smart performers. From the gate he can settle in a prominent position to give himself a podium chance.

JAX NAVARO (7) will need plenty of luck from this gate as he looks set to be buried in the run. Pressing on to the front last start from gate 2 he was grabbed in the closing stages. If he spots a gap he can challenge.

SELECTIONS: MACH SAM (9), CROWNING GLORY (4), ULTIMATE COURAGE (2), JAX NAVARO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MACH SAM (9) to win

RACE FOUR

OUR PEPPERJACK (4)
started fav last start from gate 6 and after pressing forward was forced to cut the breeze and fought hard when best of the rest behind the smart winner COLOMBIAN GOLD. Working hard 2 starts back from gate 8, he can get to the pegs here and if limiting the burn to get there can take them all the way.

PHOTOZEN (9) pressed on to the front here 2 starts back over the 1780m trip and packed too many guns in holding on for a half-head victory. He found NEWPORT DREAMZ too slick last start and was against the tempo trying to make ground. Despite the gate he can challenge in this.

LETHAL PROMISE (7) ended a string of placed runs last start that had extended his previous 17 outings. Unable to find position from gate 5 he was snagged back when mid-field behind SAMMARI. With even luck from the gate he will be probing for the gaps.

SCOTT TOM (1) started from this gate 4 starts back when looking to lead all the way. Setting an even tempo he was grabbed in the closing stages. With the improved gate after tough alleys his past 2 starts he can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: OUR PEPPERJACK (4), PHOTOZEN (9), LETHAL PROMISE (7), SCOTT TOM (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-7-9

RACE FIVE

HAPPY FEELINGS (6) has the tough gate to negotiate but should find this more to her liking after meeting some smart performers in recent starts. Placed at her 1st 4 starts this season behind the likes of MR KALYPSO and MAYWYNS COURAGE, her latest run was from gate 7 in a Gold Pot final when not receiving the cleanest passage. Thee class can prevail.

SISTER FEELGOOD (2) has been freshened since her last run when scratched as a result of an incident when going onto the track. Forced to chase from well back in the field at her past few starts, she will get the chance to settle much closer to the speed from this gate and from there can be an improver.

PARKLANE LASS (8) has placed at her past 4 starts and from this alley will be looking to press through early to find a position. Starting fav last start from gate 2 she looked to dictate and was grabbed in the closing stages. She will be in the mix once again.

MOONLIGHT JACK (9) resumes from a spell after striking trouble at his latest start. Placed at his previous 2 starts, he was charging home in the closing stages 2 starts back to get within a neck of the winner. He won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: HAPPY FEELINGS (6), SISTER FEELGOOD (2), PARKLANE LASS (8), MOONLIGHT JACK (9)
SUGGESTED BET: HAPPY FEELINGS (6) to win

RACE SIX

MONTANA CHIEF (5)
will take further benefit and experience from his latest start when second-up from a spell and having his 2nd Qld start. Starting from gate 4 he was a little rough in his gate and did a good job to be 6m from the winner DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE. The wide gate hurts, but the small field will help.

LETS DIG IT (2) will be second-up from a spell and should be tightened from his return when looking to make ground in the closing stages. Showing speed to find the pegs here 2 starts back before releasing, he can look to fire the first shot and with the options will get his chance to break the maiden status.

MAYWYN TOUGH (3) was snagged back from gate 5 last start and was a long way back when trying to work home into the contest. Yet to show his best this campaign, he can look to make the most of his chances and has claims.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA CHIEF (5), LETS DIG IT (2), MAYWYN TOUGH (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA CHIEF (5) to win
