RACE TWO

VOODOO FELLA (2) has placed at his past 2 starts as he works closer to the 1st win of his 3YO season. Forced to roll the sleeves when circling to the breeze form the 2nd line at Marburg 2 starts back when 5m from the winner, he was again strong last time. He can look to take control in this.

COUNTRY RUN (7) will need a rub of the green at some stage as he looks set to be buried on the pegs. His 1st up run in Qld since joining the Elkins barn was a tidy effort when fresh from 2 months off the scene without a trial and finishing 4m from the handy MILLWOOD TILLY. Just needs space.

BELLA GODIVA (8) will take good benefit from her return to the track to start her 3YO term when hitting the line nicely for 3rd to THATS FUNNY. With the right early trail, she can podium again.

ALL MADNESS (10) has been doing a few things wrong in the early stages at his past couple of starts and faces the extreme gate as a consequence. A tidy 2nd here 3 starts back, he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: VOODOO FELLA (2), COUNTRY RUN (7), BELLA GODIVA (8), ALL MADNESS (10)
SUGGESTED BET: VOODOO FELLA (2) to win

RACE THREE

CALL ME TRISH (3) will appreciate this class of opponent after meeting some stronger types in recent starts. Doing plenty of work in the run last start when sitting outside BILLY LINCOLN over the AP mile, she didn’t get much go her way the start prior. From the gate she gets her chance.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (2) looked to take them all the way last time out from this same gate over the sprint trip but was gunned down in the latter stages, finishing with the bronze, 8m in arrears. Arriving for the prize here 3 start ago from back in the pack, the 2040m is a query.

KIT KATS CHAT (4) was sharper last start from gate 5 when snagging back early before closing nicely in the latter stages to be 4m from the winner LAZY BLAZE. Still putting it together, she is in the mix.

BEEJAYS DELIGHT (8) settled back in the pack from gate 10 last start over the 1780m and worked home nicely to arrive for a tidy win. With the right early trail, he can be around the money again.

SELECTIONS: CALL ME TRISH (3), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (2), KIT KATS CHAT (4), BEEJAYS DELIGHT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL ME TRISH (3) to win

RACE FOUR

IAM THE JOKER (2)
did it easy at his Qld debut over this trip on Sunday night when spearing across from gate 4 to take a comfortable lead and from there was never in danger in scoring a maiden breaking victory. He will need to step it up again here, but with another easy lead can see them off.

WILLSINTOWN (6) led them up last start and was grabbed in the closing stages when holding on for the bronze, 3m in arrears of the winner ONYA DOUG. With slippery moves out of the machine, he can have an early look despite the wide gate and might just find the space to trail and challenge late.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (4) eased back from gate 7 over the AP mile last start to find the pegs and with the leader busting the field open, she was left trying to find space. The gate improvement helps.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (7) was locked away from inside the 2nd row last start and didn’t get the space when needed to have a meaningful shot. Game in the breeze the start prior, he will probe.

SELECTIONS: IAM THE JOKER (2), WILLSINTOWN (6), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (4), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IAM THE JOKER (2) to win

RACE FIVE

Despite coming up short at both starts since arriving in Qld, sticking with MY CARMEN (3) here for a case of 3rd time lucky. Forced to do the heavy lifting in the breeze from gate 6 when 1st up, she made an error last time in front. Finding the front and bringing her manners, she can capitalise.

STUDLEIGH WILL (9) has no favours from the tough gate but his last start effort from this same alley was an improved showing. Finding the 1x1 trail, he was sound to the line behind COMMODORE JUJON and with this not too much harder, he can be chiming in again here.

GUTS (5) looke to work forward over the AP 2138m last start before angling o the pegs for a trail but was never in the hunt when down the line behind DOLLARBILL. Back to the triangle helps his cause.

THATS FUNNY (1) was able to break the maiden status last start when pressing to the front from gate 2 and taking them all the way to score. She steps it up here but the gate can help her chances.

SELECTIONS: MY CARMEN (3), STUDLEIGH WILL (9), GUTS (5), THATS FUNNY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MY CARMEN (3) to win

RACE SIX

FRENCH GLOBE (4) took on a 2nd division qualifier last start at Albion Park from the 2nd line when angled to the pegs for the short-cuts and hope to find some luck. Hitting the line in good order, he was 9m from the winner CAPTAIN COSMONAUT. He can settle handy and is worth a chance here.

SPEECHCRAFT (1) wil tighten from his last start when 1st up in Qld off a 2-month break. Wide off the track in the latter stages, there was enough to like about the run to suggest he can be cashing-in soon in the Sunshine State. With speed out of the machine, he lands the benefits and options in this.

SLIPPERY JADE (2) rolled forward over the 2138m last start from gate 5 to race tough in the breeze. Looking to have fired all her bullets, she rallied late to be within 2m of the winner. She has claims.

KISS CAM (6) has no favours from the wide gate but can be around the mark in this type of event. Buried from inside the 2nd line last start, he faded under pressure the start prior. He can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: FRENCH GLOBE (4), SPEECHCRAFT (1), SLIPPERY JADE (2), KISS CAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-6

RACE SEVEN

MONTANA NIGHTS (5) was set alight in the early stages form gate 7 over the AP mile 2 starts back with the lamp lighting duties coming at a cost of a 56 sec opening 800m. That left him penniless in the closing stages and fading out. On the back-up from Tues, he strikes the right contest to cash-in.

ALOT OF COST (9) found the front from gate 3 over the 2040m here last start and despite a controlled opening 800m was unable to see it out, fading to be 10m in arrears of the winner. Back to the sprint trip suits, where he was a winner from this same gate 2 starts back and he looms large.

BACK PAGE NEWS (7) will need a few factors in his favour from this gate, but at his best, would be a tough nut to crack against this field. Fitter following 1 run back from a break, he will be probing.

DYNAMIC DEEJAY (2) hasn’t tasted victory for a while, but he might have found a race to return a sharper performance here. Down the line his past couple where things haven’t suited, he can be an exotic player.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA NIGHTS (5), ALOT OF COST (9), BACK PAGE NEWS (7), DYNAMIC DEEJAY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA NIGHTS (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

His numbers might not show a lot, however WEEDONS EXPRESS (4) looks to be travelling better than his returns are suggesting. Dealt a double whammy last start with gate 7 over his less-preferred 2138m, he wasn’t disgraced behind MAKOA and was luckless the start prior. Using his early speed, he might be able to pinch this.

FEELINGFORARAINBOW (10) is in great touch and returned another tidy effort last start in a qualifier when running some smart closing panels to be 6m in arrears of the winner. Too strong for them at Marburg the start prior, the gate is a stinger, but he can be powering into contention here.

LIFES A JUNGLE (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start when working away from the pegs and closing out soundly when 9m from the winner SABRAGE. The gate suits here and he gets his chance for a maiden Qld success.

MACH TORQUE (8) has found conditions to suit at her past 2 outings and capitalised to cruise home to comfortable victories in each. The 2nd line in this field hurts, but winning form cannot be ignored as she searches for the 1st hat-trick of her career.

SELECTIONS: WEEDONS EXPRESS (4), FEELINGFORARAINBOW (10), LIFES A JUNGLE (2), MACH TORQUE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WEEDONS EXPRESS (4) to win
