RACE TWO

He will plenty of factors in his favour here but if TROUBESOME DAVE (7) can weave the right passage, he is worth a stab in an open contest. Strong in the breeze here 3 starts back in a qualifier and getting within a half-head of victory, he faded under a hot tempo last start. Just needs the gaps.

ARTFUL MAID (10) was working home wide out from this same gate last start and was strong to the line when under 2m from the winner. Game when doing plenty of work in a mares qualifier the start prior behind SENORA RAPIDO, she can be laying down the challenge again here.

JUST ROKIN (2) has faced some tricky gates of late and while she probably has struggled to show her best this season, the gate advantage will give her the opportunity for a sharper effort here.

ULTIMATE AD (3) found it a bit tough trying to chase from back in the pack last start as INVITE ONLY carved it out in front. Assess his chances off the tidy 2nd to PINUP BOY 2 starts back. Place claims.

SELECTIONS: TROUBESOME DAVE (7), ARTFUL MAID (10), JUST ROKIN (2), ULTIMATE AD (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

MISS KEESHA (1) took on a mares qualifier last start and was snagged back form gate 4 to find position. Eventually positioned at the tail of the field, she was 4 and 5 wide around the home turn here at Redcliffe and really attacked the line. A winner here 3 starts back, she has can capitalise.

COMMODORE JUJON (9) was shooting for a hat-trick of victories to start his 4YO term here last start when he was forced to roll the sleeves from gate 6. In for the fight, it was only the late swooping SPONDOOLEY that was able to beat him home. The gate is a stinger again, but his is right in this.

SONNY ORLANDO (7) was closing out nicely last start to grab the bronze after settling in the 1x1 in transit. Effective with a closing shot, he will be coiled on the pegs here and ready for the lane.

THE HARLEM HAMMER (10) found the right type of race last start and from gate 6 was eased back to find position before closing strongly for the silver. Probing for gaps she can swoop late again.

SELECTIONS: MISS KEESHA (1), COMMODORE JUJON (9), SONNY ORLANDO (7), THE HARLEM HAMMER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS KEESHA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MY CARMEN (4)
made the most of finding the front here last start and once in control was able to take them all the way to score a 3m victory as red figure fav. That was atonement for the start prior when making an error as the fav and ending her chances. With confidence, she can repeat the dose.

MACH THE KNIFE (1) looked to be unlucky here last start when locked away in the run from inside the 2nd line and probing for gaps that didn’t arrive until it was too late. Charging through a gap when it did arrive, he grabbed the silver behind SPECIAL RESERVE. From the gate he can feature.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (8) led them up last start over the 2040m and setting an even tempo held on for 2nd, with only the dominant winner RANDOM TASK getting past him. With even luck he can place.

LITTLE BOLT (2) led them up last start in a divided condition race and while he looked to be facing a task, he gave plenty of cheek in front, only grabbed in the closing strides. He is in the fight here.

SELECTIONS: MY CARMEN (4), MACH THE KNIFE (1), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (8), LITTLE BOLT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MY CARMEN (4) to win

RACE FIVE

TRENTLEIGH (2) has made the most of the ratings and found himself back to a point where he is knocking on the door again. Runner-up at his past 2 starts from 2nd line gates when closing out strongly in the latter stages, he can capitalise on this gate with his early speed and look to dictate.

THATS FUNNY (1) made the most of finding a maiden race 2 starts back and once in front was able to make the most of conditions to take them all the way. From the pocket trail last start the effort was good against stronger opponents to be 6m in arrears of MY CARMEN. The gate is a big plus.

MAKINMEFEELGOOD (5) had been building towards a victory after 4 successive placings this campaign. Making the most of coming off the speed to break through for a deserved win last start, he can look to repeat.

MAYWYN NO REGRETS (7) started fav here last time out and didn’t get the cleanest run when forced to take evasive action to avoid a fall. With the cosy trip on offer, she will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: TRENTLEIGH (2), THATS FUNNY (1), MAKINMEFEELGOOD (5), MAYWYN NO REGRETS (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-7

RACE SIX

TRACES OF TARA (6) had an early shot for the front last start before settling in the 1x1 trail. It was a nice effort for 3rd to finish 5m from the winner SPECIAL RESERVE. Forget her run 2 back when striking trouble that ended her night, she can utilise her speed out of the machine to take control of this.

HESLUVABLE (1) has been in the  money at 3 of his past 5 appearances, the latest when settling in the 1x2 and closing out nicely to be 6m from the all-the-way winner MY CARMEN. That followed a tough run when working hard and with the peg-line benefits from this gate, he gets every chance.

FUI FUI (4) found his race from gate 5 here 5 starts back and was able to finish over the top to claim the prize. Things haven’t really suited in the 4 runs since that win, but this looks more suitable.

MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (10) has the tough gate to negotiate and found things a bit too tough last start when down the line behind the in-form DOLLARBILL. Look for him chiming in late.

SELECTIONS: TRACES OF TARA (6), HESLUVABLE (1), FUI FUI (4), MOONLIGHT BUTCHER (10)
SUGGESTED BET: TRACES OF TARA (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) has started from inside the 2nd line at his past 2 attempts and on both occasions found himself shuffled to 3 back the poles and chasing. 3 starts back he was strong to the line when 7m from the winner COMMODORE JUJON and although approaching 2 years without a success, he is worth a shot here.

SCHEU CREEK (7) rolled forward to the breeze from inside the 2nd line last start and rolled the sleeves to fight when 3m from the winner BETTOR WATCH HIM. That followed a 2nd at Marburg when he looked all over the winner before making an error. He will need luck again from the alley but can throw down a challenge.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (10) didn’t have much go his way last start from gate 5 and struck some trouble to make it even tougher. Fighting hard for the bronze after facing the breeze 2 starts back, he can be chiming in here.

MOLLIGUANNA (8) claimed victory in a non-TAB event here 2 starts back when finding the line well to take a 4m victory. Tough in the breeze last start, she can get a nice run through and has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2), SCHEU CREEK (7), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (10), MOLLIGUANNA (8)
SUGGESTED BET: A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

NIKALONG HENRY (8) was taken back off the gate last start over the AP from the six-hole to settle near the rear of the pack. Making a late play out wide, he closed out nicely to grab 4th. He has been sound in the closing stages of his races and with the right trail can sneak home in this open race.

BERTILS DELIGHT (2) has some early speed when called on and from the gate can look to fire the 1st shot. Settling in the 1x1 trail last start she was able to hold on for the bronze behind IAM THE JOKER and should strip fitter for the run, after being 2nd up from a spell.

BELLA GODIVA (9) has grabbed 3rd at both starts this campaign and both from 2nd line draws. With another tricky gat to overcome, she can find early position before looking to finish hard.

ZARAS HEAVEN (3) makes her Qld debut for Jack Butler and will be 1st up from a 7-month break. With a sound trial to prepare for her return, she stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: NIKALONG HENRY (8), BERTILS DELIGHT (2), BELLA GODIVA (9), ZARAS HEAVEN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: NIKALONG HENRY (8) to win

RACE NINE

MAJESTIC WHIZ (2) stepped cleanly to land the pocket trail here 2 starts back and using the passing lane went within a head of the victory behind DAY TOURER. He took on stronger opponents last start at AP and was chasing when mid-field to AVEROSS DON. Back to the triangle, off the front is ideal.

MONORAIL (7) has been around the money in recent starts and with the right run in transit is not far off a victory. Arriving along the inside at AP 5 starts back, he has been runner-up here at Redcliffe at his past 3 in succession, the latest off a 30m impost. Just needs to negotiate the traffic to challenge.

THE REAPER (4) found the pegs from the 20m handicap last start and chased home for the bronze behind ROSEHILL MAGIC over this trip. Back to the 10m tape, he is I n the mix if stepping cleanly.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (12) was a smart winner over this trip last week when sent forward in the early stages off this same impost. Taking control, she claimed a 3m victory and is right in the fight again.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC WHIZ (2), MONORAIL (7), THE REAPER (4), ROSEHILL MAGIC (12)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC WHIZ (2) to win
