RACE TWO

HIGHVIEW FREDDY (6) has no favours from the car park, but he has found his form here at The Triangle, finishing in the money at his past 4 in succession. Finishing best to score here 2 runs back over the 1780m for a smart win, he was tough in defeat when 2nd to MISTER COLE last time out. He can overcome the alley.

JOVIAL JULIE (3) was in the pocket trail last start from inside the 2nd line when making a passing lane play to be a half-neck from the winner MOLLYS SECRET. Mid-field the start prior over the AP mile, she will need to show some early hustle but settling close to the action can launch a bid for victory.

SWORD AND SHIELD (5) resumes from a freshen after finishing within 5m of the winner SEA HAWKE last time out. Luckless from gate 6 the start prior when not far away, he can be chiming in.

NIKALOING HENRY (8) made the most of gate 1 last time out to take control over the 2040m trip and once in front held on to claim a narrow victory. Never far from the action, he is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: HIGHVIEW FREDDY (6), JOVIAL JULIE (3), SWORD AND SHIELD (5), NIKALOING HENRY (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HIGHVIEW FREDDY (6) to win

RACE THREE

BUKTHSYSTEM (9) landed gate 6 last start when forced to retreat before making some nice closing metres behind ROCKNROLL SWINGER. Buried in the run the start prior he did not really get a decent shot at them. Only 2m away the start prior, he has the tough gate but can be charging home.

PRINCE JOY (1) started from inside the 2nd line last time out when angled away from the pegs. Working home wide off the track, it was a tidy effort for the bronze behind HUNTER RED. Striking trouble the start prior, he lands the options to throw down the challenge here.

DEVOUGED (7) was a winner here 3 runs back in a non-TAB event when closing strongly  and defeating subsequent winner NIKALONG HENRY. Runner-up in both runs since, he will be probing.

DONNY JONES (5) has been freshened since his last appearance when down the line at Marburg after a tough run outside the leader. 3rd to MAJOR MUCHA 4 runs back, he can fire early bullets here.

SELECTIONS: BUKTHSYSTEM (9), PRINCE JOY (1), DEVOUGED (7), DONNY JONES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BUKTHSYSTEM (9) to win

RACE FOUR

This is the final that corresponds to 3 heats that were held on November 15. 3rd up in Qld in her heat PLAYING ARKABELLA (9) secured the economical trip in the pocket trail to land victory up the passing lane. That followed a similar win when 2nd up when diving up the passing lane. With added fitness, she can arrive again.

ABERCROMBIE TAB (8) has been in consistent touch, finishing in a quinella position at his past 5 in succession. Pressing ahead to take control and stave off the challengers in his heat, he was then runner-up at Marburg on Sunday when beaten a half-head. He can be in for the fight again here.

CANNAN (1) added another minor to the tally when game in defeat from the breeze and only a half-neck away in his heat. Grabbed late by ARMA AUGUSTUS last start, he has the gate to feature.

VOODOO FELLA (6) comes up with the tough gate yet he has worked into some good form with wins at 3 of his past 4 starts. Runner-up in his heat, when after a threepeat of victories, he bounced back with a smart Marburg win last time out. He can join in.

SELECTIONS: PLAYING ARKABELLA (9), ABERCROMBIE TAB (8), CANNAN (1), VOODOO FELLA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-8-9

RACE FIVE

BEYOND A SHADOW (6)
was a winner here 3 runs back when holding the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line and then making the closing shot a winner up the passing lane. An error ended her chances last start before meeting a tougher contest last time. Despite the enforced gate, this is within reach.

BARBOO (7) was beaten by a wide gate last start when forced to snag back from gate 6 and once back in the pack was facing a task too great as the in-form ARMA AUGUSTUS cruised home. Angled to the pegs from gate 4 when looking for short-cuts 2 runs back, if he can find gaps in time, he can challenge.

DUKE (3) finished back in the pack behind ARMA AUGUSTUS last time out which had followed placings in 3 of his previous 4 starts. Settling close to the action can see him in the mix.

TRACES OF TARA (4) speared to the front from gate 3 here 5 runs back and went within a head of leading all the way. Wide gates stung her hopes at her next 3 before arriving from gate 6 last time and she can be thereabouts once again.

SELECTIONS: BEYOND A SHADOW (6), BARBOO (7), DUKE (3), TRACES OF TARA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BEYOND A SHADOW (6) to win

RACE SIX

ROCKSLIDE (6)
finished 9th of 10 over the AP mile when stepping out for Qld for the 1st time, yet the run was better against stronger opponents than it suggests. That was franked last start when finding a more suitable assignment over the 2040m here on The Triangle. Despite the gate he can duplicate the result.

GRETELS GIRL (5) has been runner-up in all 3 appearances since changing barns. Working across from gate 6 to find the pocket trail last start, she chased gamely to be 4m in arrears of the winner. Only a half-head away 2 starts back, she can look to be at the pointy end to challenge.

FEELING THE POWER (3) will strip fitter following his 1st up run when rolling the sleeves to do the work outside the leader when 9m from the winner. He can fire some early bullets and has podium claims.

SHESA PEARLA (9) took on a much stronger mares event last start when down the line after easing to the pegs from gate 4. Not that far from SONNY ORLANDO 2 starts back, she can join in against this line-up.

SELECTIONS: ROCKSLIDE (6), GRETELS GIRL (5), FEELING THE POWER (3), SHESA PEARLA (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKSLIDE (6) to win

RACE SEVEN

FORTYFIVE ROCK (2) was returning from a freshen when angled away from inside he 2nd line in the early stages here last time out. Making a move up 3-wide he struck wheels for a short period checking momentum. Looming up strongly, he could not finish it off. He can see it out this time.

ROLLON TWICE (1) found conditions to break the maiden here 2 starts back when finishing over the top to claim victory by 4m. Snagged back from gate 5 last time out, the 2040m trip did not really suit yet she was not that far away. With the benefit of gate 1, she has the options to challenge.

KID CALVERT (4) was grinding outside the leader last week and was in for the fight when 2m in arrears of the winner TRACES OF TARA. Runner-up the start prior, he can be in for the fight.

CARIBBEAN ROCKET (7) found the 1x1 trail last start and chased gamely for 3rd behind the big winner ROUSEY. Snagged back from gate 5 the starts prior, he can be looking for short-cuts here.

SELECTIONS: FORTYFIVE ROCK (2), ROLLON TWICE (1), KID CALVERT (4), CARIBBEAN ROCKET (7)
SUGGESTED BET: FORTYFIVE ROCK (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

IMAJIVA (9) will take good benefit from his race debut last time out when holding on for the bronze behind RAGNAROK. Finding the running line from gate 4 in that event, his preparatory trials had been good and despite the 2nd line can get a nice early trail to arrive for the prize.

VERMONT (4) was finishing strongly on debut when beaten a pimple after being shuffled back along the pegs from inside the 2nd line. 2nd up from the back row, she was sent to the post as fav when making late ground to be 6m from the winner DATSINAHURRI. With even luck she can challenge.

AMANDER (8) will strip fitter following her return to the track last start when claiming the silver behind RAGNAROK.  1st up for the Dixon stable in that event, she can be chiming in again here.

JOY TO ALL (2) was obliged to work hard in the run last start when setting up outside the leader and making a closing play to be a head from the winner. Finding the front, she will give some cheek.

SELECTIONS: IMAJIVA (9), VERMONT (4), AMANDER (8), JOY TO ALL (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

ROUSEY (8) is undefeated in Qld with 4 dominant victories since arriving. Pressing ahead from gate 5 over the 2040m trip last time out, she crushed her rivals when pulling clear to claim a 20m victory. With an average winning margin of 28.75m in those 4 wins, the 5th win looks in the bag.

DARBY BRIGHTS (1) is approaching 2 years since her last victory but comes up with the right gate with the right front line. Buried away last start when down the line behind FROST EN ICE, she can be in the right position to look for the quinella position.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (7) was soon locked away 3 back on the poles from this alley last start when chiming in for the bronze behind the in-form ARMA AUGUSTUS. He will be probing for a way clear.

WEASEL (2) moved around from the 2nd line last start to race first over and was best of the chasers behind the big winner ROUSEY. He might need to settle in a similar spot but can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ROUSEY (8), DARBY BRIGHTS (1), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (7), WEASEL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 8 / 1-2-7
