RACE TWO

The first of 4 Heats of this new race where to guarantee a good gate in the $50k Final on Saturday, the speed will need to be on. Although a last start winner from the front, THE ROCKROLL KING (6) might have the versatility required for this. If the tempo is hot to the inside, he has a booming sprint when saved. Hitting his straps with 3 wins in his past 5, he can shake, rattle and roll.

GENERAL MONTANA (4) last raced back on Sept 7 when sent out in red figures from inside the 2nd line. Not entirely clean in his gait before the start, he was off and around to sit parked but could not maintain it, fading to 3rd. With a pair of trials to blow the cobwebs out, a return to the front line suits.

ALTA SENSATION (5) made an impression with a smart trial in readiness for his first appearance this side of the Tasman and franked that with a strong win. Not sighted since Sept 7 might pose a query.

IDEAL ESCAPE (7) heads North from the Riverina and brings a pair of smart wins at his past 2 starts. Both wins have been when leading throughout and running home in sub 55 closing splits. The gate stings.

SELECTIONS: THE ROCKROLL KING (6), GENERAL MONTANA (4), ALTA SENSATION (5), IDEAL ESCAPE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE ROCKROLL KING (6) to win

RACE THREE

A winner in 4 of his 5 starts since arriving in Qld, there may just be a small query on the distance for LE TISSIER (9) with that only defeat coming at the mile. Asked to sit parked in that event when 7m from SPEAK WITH SAM, his 4 wins have been super at the middle-trip. Saved for a finishing power burst looks his pattern and this should profile ideally.

JUDDY DOUGLAS (7) was sent to sit parked over this trip last start and sitting parked could not maintain the rage when fading to the rear as KIWIS ARE FLYING put them away. Sent to the front from the 2nd line 2 starts back for a strong win, the form from that race has held with multiple winners in the vanquished. He can throw it down.

GOING FOR GOLD (5) can have a line put through his last start when beaten by the wide gate, he snagged back and then was never tested when hitting gridlock. A winner at his previous 2 attempts, he looms here.

THE GENERAL (4) had been catching the eye continually but always seemed to be just in behind them when flashing home. Last start he converted for a Redcliffe win and settling close enough can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (9), JUDDY DOUGLAS (7), GOING FOR GOLD (5), THE GENERAL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LE TISSIER (9) to win

RACE FOUR

The third Heat looks the trickiest and is made no easier by what looks a muddling map. Despite the wide gate LOVE YOUR WORK (6) might be the play if positioning cheaply. Game in defeat last start after working hard when sent around then early from the 2nd line to sit parked, his win 3 starts back when first up was strong.

BEAST MODE (8) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when angling to the passing lane and finishing strongly when 3m from CHASING THE WIND in a qualifier. Just a half-head away the start prior after burning early, he can be the fresh horse on the scene to challenge.

MAJORCA (5) is 4 from 4 here at The Creek to remain undefeated since departing the Shaky Isles. All 4 wins have been when working in the run, the latest from the 2nd line. With a tidy preparatory trial, this is within reach.

JAY TEE TYRON (1) was gunned down last start when looking to take them all the way at Marburg. Fading after working hard the start prior, the gate is a big plus to his chances.

SELECTIONS: LOVE YOUR WORK (6), BEAST MODE (8), MAJORCA (5), JAY TEE TYRON (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

The Final Heat of the Peak looks to generate some heat where UNCLE SHANK (7) loves free running the sprint trip and although he draws wide can shanghai out of the machine and look to stake his claim for first choice of the barriers. An effortless winner from this gate last start, he has trialled superbly to make a statement here.

BRAEBEACH (9) has built a smart record in his first season of racing that shows 5 wins in his 7 race appearances. Completing a hat-trick of victories last start defeating BITCOIN at the 2138m, he was too gritty when parked at the mile the start prior. Given a pair of trials to open the pipes, he looks the challenger.

LONGUEVAL (2) is first up in Qld for the Dwyer stable, arriving a last start winner at Penrith over the 2125m trip. Trialling behind the speed machine DEUS EX, he can tuck in here to feature.

OHOKA CHOPPER (6) scored at Redcliffe 2 starts back when finishing over the top of them to claim victory by 2m. Tackling a strong qualifier when 3rd to KIWIS ARE FLYING last start, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE SHANK (7), BRAEBEACH (9), LONGUEVAL (2), OHOKA CHOPPER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE SHANK (7) to win

RACE SIX

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3)
pressed forward from gate 6 last start to take control and once out in front was never headed to claim victory by 6m as a short-price favourite. Game in defeat after working hard from gate 7 the start prior and only 3m in arrears, the gate improvement here is a huge advantage.

DESPONDENT (4) secured the perfect trip in behind the speed here last time out and when right lined at the top of the stretch, had the closing power to finish best and claim the prize. A qualifying winner 3 starts back when taking them all the way, he has the form to make a challenge.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (1) sat back in the pack from gate 3 last start over the Redcliffe sprint trip before unleashing a strong closing challenge to sweep on by and hold on. An economical trip is in his favour.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (8) tackled the strong qualifying event here last time out where he closed out in nice order for a 6m 4th to KIWIS ARE FLYING. Needing a slice of luck, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3), DESPONDENT (4), WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (1), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

WHICH HUNT (9)
has been kept fresh since her last outing when eased to the pegs from gate 5 and chiming in late for the bronze behind PEPPA BLISS. Chasing home nicely when not too far from WAHS FIRE BUG the start prior, with the right trail through she might just sneak away with an open contest.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (2) started from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back and with the good trip had the bullets to hit the target up the lane. Strong to the line behind TEDDY DISCO last start, she can settle close enough to the action to throw it down here.

OUR ANTONIO ROSE (7) ran her best race since arriving in Qld here last time out when fighting on for the silver, beaten a head up the passing lane. Landing another tough gate, she can feature.

FAIRIESDELIGHT (4) was asked to grind it out here last from this same gate when sent to the post in the red when finishing 10m in arrears. In a similar line-up, it doesn’t look any easier.

SELECTIONS: WHICH HUNT (9), COULDNTMISAFALCON (2), OUR ANTONIO ROSE (7), FAIRIESDELIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

ROCK FISHERMAN (4)
has been in super form of late including a dictating win when firing out from gate 3 to take control and lead throughout here 2 starts back. Beaten by the wide gate over the mile last time despite working hard when parked, he can get forward and look to capitalise on the fitness edge.

GOVERNOR JUJON (2) faced the starter just twice following eight months off the scene before being put away again. Game in defeat when beaten a half-neck when resuming, he was too strong second up in 53.4 mile. Opening the pipes in a strong trial hit out, the only query is the fitness.

IT AINT THE MONEY (1) took the trail last start behind KEY LARGO when taking the closing shot to be a half-neck in arrears. With the cosy trip he can be ready to snipe up the passing lane.

KENSINGTON BILL (3) eased from gate 7 to find the poles last time and tucked away was making some late ground behind LE TISSIER. Settling handy from this gate can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: ROCK FISHERMAN (4), GOVERNOR JUJON (2), IT AINT THE MONEY (1), KENSINGTON BILL (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK FISHERMAN (4) to win

RACE TEN

MAJESTIC SPEED (6)
started from the 10m tape last time when best of the chasers to be 8m in arrears of the winner THE NIGHT KING. Not suited the start prior, she will be tightened from the latest outing and can look to capitalise on the handicap advantage.

THE NIGHT KING (10) had been working towards something after placing in 3 of his previous 4 attempts and franked that assessment here last time with a smart victory. Settling in the running line from the 10m tape, he exploded clear to claim an 8m victory. Back to equal terms with a few of the defeated last start, he can throw it down again.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (11) started from the 20m tape last start and was closing out in nice order from deep in the pack as THE NIGHT KING swept clear. In some nice form, she can be attacking late again here.

CARNERA (14) made a mess of the start here last week when sent to the post as the favourite and his chances were cooked. Chasing gamely and picking a few off to finish mid-field, if he can get the start sorted, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC SPEED (6), THE NIGHT KING (10), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (11), CARNERA (14)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJESTIC SPEED (6) to win
