RACE TWO

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (5)
has been super consistent since arriving in Qld where although she has just the one win here at The Creek, she has placed on a further 9 occasions from her 12 attempts. Pressing on to take control from gate 3 last time before being collared late, she can arrive.

FAIRIESDELIGHT (1) has been doing it the tradesman’s way in recent starts where she has been unable to muster the hustle to find the pegs. All 4 of those attempts were from gate 4 and with the improved gate she can burrow through to find the spot to throw down the challenge.

NINA SIMONE (8) took on a mare’s qualifier last time where although the result shows last it was a sound effort behind CHEESANDKISSES. With a cosy trip in behind the speed, she can be probing.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (2) eased from gate 5 last time out and was soon near the rear and trying to launch a closing raid. Not far from CHAMONIX in the 3YO feature the start prior, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (5), FAIRIESDELIGHT (1), NINA SIMONE (8), DOCTA FEELGOOD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-8

RACE THREE

This race looks to have several chances and the early mapping will settle the chances of some. Having met stronger opposition last start in a qualifier, RECIPE FOR DREAMING (5) will be looking to secure position cheaply. A passing lane winner 3 starts back, he could not reel them in at his next 2. With an even rub of the green he can strike.

AKARANA PRINCE (9) was having his 3rd Qld start here last start when sent to the front over the 2138m. Hoisting the white flag a long way from home, he was banished to the trials where he has earned the return with a tidy hit out. Grinding out a gritty 3rd when 1st up, he can atone.

TYPHOON TORQUE (8) has taken on the 3YO fillies features at her past 2 outings, the latest when chasing for a midfield finish after starting from gate 7 and retreating. She will be probing.

MAGGIE (7) is in search of a hat-trick of victories after successive wins here at the mile. Buried last start from inside the 2nd line, she charged home in the stretch for a smart win. The gate stings.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (5), AKARANA PRINCE (9), TYPHOON TORQUE (8), MAGGIE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

MAJOR GRANDEUR (1)
has now had 3 runs back from a spell, the latest when gate 6 over the Redcliffe 2040m trip was his undoing. Sound to the line 2 starts back from deep in the pack, his first up run was a tidy effort for 3rd to DOLLARBILL. Effective using the passing lane, he has the gate to suit.

ARCHILLES (2) made the most of gate 1 over this trip last time out when taking the trail and then making the closing shot a winner via the passing lane. Hitting the line in nice style from a 2nd line gate the start prior at Redcliffe, he can be close enough to challenge here.

WOODLANDS ROSE (9) took on the 3YO fillies classic last start when down the line behind LADY AVANA. A Beaten fav the start prior over the Redcliffe sprint trip, she can chime into the action.

HEADWIN (3) was sent forward to sit parked after starting from the five-hole at The Triangle last start. Grafting out 3rd placing when just 3m in arrears, he is better suited in front and can run the gate here.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GRANDEUR (1), ARCHILLES (2), WOODLANDS ROSE (9), HEADWIN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR GRANDEUR (1) to win

RACE FIVE

IM LOKI (1) is a newcomer to the Sunshine State that joins the Narissa McMullen stable. A Mildura winner 3 starts back when leading throughout over the sprint trip, his last start was in Victoria back in July and he comes into this without a public trial. If the fitness is there, he finds winnable conditions fresh.

LUCINDA JAMAR (2) has now had 3 runs since arriving in Qld, with the past 2 seeing her as the runner-up. Buried away last start from inside the 2nd line at Redcliffe, when sighting the gaps, she hit the line smartly to be a head in arrears as a red figure fav. With early speed she can throw it down.

GO AWAY (9) retreated to the pegs from gate 6 last time out with a soft trip against the poles before making a closing charge to grab 4th. Buried over the 2138m the start prior, she can be sharper here.

LITTLEDEE (3) started from inside the 2nd line last time out over the Redcliffe sprint trip and was attacking the line with gusto to get within a whisker of the win. Settling handing she can feature once again.

SELECTIONS: IM LOKI (1), LUCINDA JAMAR (2), GO AWAY (9), LITTLEDEE (3)
SUGGESTED BET: IM LOKI (1) to win

RACE SIX

After facing some tough gates in recent outings, a nice trailing draw here should be well received by ROYAL OBSESSION (1). Angled to the pegs for luck from gate 10 last start, he was trying to launch a closing raid behind SHADOW MINISTER. Not suited at Marburg 2 starts back, this looks well within reach.

SAVING MAJOR PERCY (8) wilted last start after being asked to do the heavy lifting outside the leader over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Progressing to the Peak of the Creek Final after a smart 3rd to MAJORCA in the heats, he finds suitable conditions with options as the lone 2nd line runner.

ROCKNROLL DUDE (4) did some early work to slide across from the outside gate at Marburg last time out and with a slick last half, could not reel them in. From this alley he can fire some early bullets.

PINUP BOY (2) will be returning from a spell for this contest without a public trial. Only 4m from the winner last start after taking the trail from gate 1, he will improve off his achievements here.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL OBSESSION (1), SAVING MAJOR PERCY (8), ROCKNROLL DUDE (4), PINUP BOY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL OBSESSION (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Making his Qld debut here from gate 4, KASE (5) got it all wrong and made an error that ended his day. Taken to Redcliffe 2nd up, he landed the inside 2nd line alley where he was soon angled to the running line to avoid a pocket. Closing out in nice order for the silver, he can look to capitalise here.

LEITHEN BURN (7) was sent to the post as favourite last start from gate 1 and was soon shuffled to 3 back against the poles. From there he was making some closing metres to be 3m off the winner and grab 3rd. Fitter for the run after 2 starts back from a spell, he should find this opposition easier.

VIEWBYTHEROCK (3) was sent forward last start to sit parked over the mile and was in for the fight when finishing midfield behind the winner ARCHILLES. Placed in both runs prior, he can again be thereabouts.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (8) eased across from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip last time to find running line cover. Owing the best closing speed, he was able to claim a smart win and can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: KASE (5), LEITHEN BURN (7), VIEWBYTHEROCK (3), GUY LOOKS GOOD (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KASE (5) to win

RACE NINE

With just a front line in this mobile trot, positions will be keenly sought. A veteran of the mobile start, CARNERA (5) will line up behind the start car for the 100th time under race conditions. Not suited form the 30m last time yet still grabbing the bronze, he has placed in 3 of his 5 starts here at The Creek and looks to have found breakthrough conditions here.

THE NIGHT KING (4) found conditions to suit here 2 starts back from a 10m handicap when powering over the top of them in the closing stages to take a smart win. Unable to work into it last start form his 30m tape, he has the solitary win from the mobile but is going well enough to alter that.

SPIDERS DEVIL (2) is shooting for a hat-trick of victories after successive wins over this trip under stand-start conditions. Fighting his way off the canvas last start when he looked a spent force, he can be close enough to strike.

JUST CALL ME MOLLY (6) made a mess of things when the field was released last time she tackled mobile conditions that ended her chances. Only a head away last start after a strong finish, she can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CARNERA (5), THE NIGHT KING (4), SPIDERS DEVIL (2), JUST CALL ME MOLLY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CARNERA (5) to win
