RACE TWO

A tricky little battle to dissect where combined the field boasts 108 Albion Park starts for just the 4 wins. WHATELEY (9) should settle in the right spot to be a factor. A gritty winner at Redcliffe 4 starts back, he followed it with the narrowest of 2nd placed finishes. Gunned down in front here last week to be 6m away, he might just sneak home.

DOOLITTLE DEXTER (6) comes out of the same race as WHATELEY from last week where he was able to settle in the running line from gate 2. Owning the best closing power, he was able to land the winning blow right on the wire. 4th in a Redcliffe race the start prior that has now produced 4 subsequent winners, he can chime in.

FREMARKSINDI (3) held on for the bronze last start at Redcliffe after looking to take them all the way. In some super consistent form of late, she can be right in the mix.

PATCHWORK JET (1) did not have much go his way last start and could not find the space when needed. From the gate he can gain an economical trip to chime into the minors.

SELECTIONS: WHATELEY (9), DOOLITTLE DEXTER (6), FREMARKSINDI (3), PATCHWORK JET (1)
SUGGESTED BET: WHATELEY (9) to win

RACE THREE

A victim of what initially looked a good gate here in the Band 5 Final last time out, KEAYANG MARVEN (3) should appreciate the run he looks set to receive here. Claiming a big 10m win in his heat, he was shuffled along the inside when the leader released in the Final. Exploding into the gap when it was all over to grab 2nd to GOVERNOR JUJON, the small field should be ideal.

MOHS EM DOWN (2) has had his runs well spaced and lines up here following his last appearance back in late September. On that occasion he was just 5m in arrears of EL AGUILA after working hard while sitting parked. Grabbed in the closing stride by ROCK FISHERMAN the start prior, he can fire the first shots.

LOMBO HEAVEN (6) took the trail over this trip last start and fought on gamely for the silver behind the swooping ROCKNROLL ICON. The gate stings but back to Tuesday grade is a plus.

HANDSOME HERO (7) was a winner here 2 starts back when making a wide and sweeping run to claim a smart win at the mile. 4m from STREITKID last week, he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (3), MOHS EM DOWN (2), LOMBO HEAVEN (6), HANDSOME HERO (7)
SUGGESTED BET: KEAYANG MARVEN (3) to win

RACE FOUR

Still yet to find the winners enclosure since returning to Qld and with his last win back in May of 2019, THE SHADY ONE (2) may just have found the right conditions. Not suited last start when the power was on up front all the way, he can dive in behind the speed and look to land the winner up the passing lane.

HARPS (1) was too slippery out in front at Redcliffe 2 starts back when rolling to the top from gate 2 and then putting it out of reach with a slick 56.4 closing half around The Triangle. Runner-up last start when forced to sit parked, he can hold them out and be trying to take them all the way.

BEE GEES BANDIT (4) secured the economical trip in the trail from gate 1 last start and was best of the rest when 4m from the winner STREITKID. Sliding into the running line gives him place hopes.

SABRAGE (7) was eased from gate 6 in a stronger race last time and was trying to pick off some late ground after STREITKID set the tempo in front. The gate is not ideal, but he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: THE SHADY ONE (2), HARPS (1), BEE GEES BANDIT (4), SABRAGE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE SHADY ONE / HARPS (1/2) Quinella/Exacta

RACE FIVE

Kept wide in the early stages after the start from gate 6 in a slippery 27.3 opening panel, CHUMP CHOP (4) was eventually able to get to the leaders’ wheel after 600m. Working hard in the run thereafter, he displayed plenty of gristle to only be nabbed right on the line by the barest possible. He can get forward and go one better.

MISTER REACTOR (1) rolled forward from gate 3 last week to find the front and once in control kept them chasing to record a 6m victory. The writing was on the wall after some smart efforts at his previous 2 starts and although stepping up against older and experienced performers, the gate is a big plus.

ZED EXPRESS (2) had an early squiz from gate 5 last week but with not lead on offer, eased for the running line trail. Trying to launch a closing raid when 5m from the winner, he can feature here.

HAWTHORNDEN HUNK (9) has now faced the starter twice since arriving in Qld from the Shaky Isles, the latest from this same gate when finishing in the second half of the pack. With added fitness he can be sharper.

SELECTIONS: CHUMP CHOP (4), MISTER REACTOR (1), ZED EXPRESS (2), HAWTHORNDEN HUNK (9)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi 1-4 / 1-2-4-8-9 / 1-2-4-8-9

RACE SIX

Snagged off the gate in the 3YO Classic last time out and soon out of play 4 back against the poles GENERAL MONTANA (6) never really made an impact as he went to the line in behind the action. Just a half-head from the winner in a Peak of the Creek Heat 2 starts back in a blanket finish, he finds conditions to capitalise.

CAPTAINS PICK (4) was 2nd up from a spell here last week when sent forward from gate 6 and asked to roll the sleeves for the heavy lifting. In for the fight, he was grafting it out to be under 2m from the winner GOLDEN LACE. That followed a tidy first-up effort when 5m away and the added fitness helps.

LANCELOT BROMAC (8) will have the 2nd line options as the lone runner off the back line and can look to get off in the early stages. Runner-up here 2 starts back, he will have the head down and making a closing play.

STUDLEIGH MARK (5) was sitting without cover, albeit a long way from the leader that carved out a sub 27 opener. Dropping down to the pegs briefly before securing a cart into the contest, he arrived in the nick of time. This might be a little tougher, but he can still feature.

SELECTIONS: GENERAL MONTANA (6), CAPTAINS PICK (4), LANCELOT BROMAC (8), STUDLEIGH MARK (5)
SUGGESTED BET: GENERAL MONTANA (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

Since resuming from a spell for his latest preparation, DESPONDENT (1) has put in a string of smart performances that includes wins in 3 of his past 5 starts. Firing out from gate 3 last start before taking cover, he owned the best closing speed to score an easy 4m victory. This is a rise in grade but from the alley, has the pattern to prevail.

COMMODORE JUJON (6) has been catching the eye in recent outings, the latest when hitting the line hard down the outside to be just a pimple short of victory. Luckless in Saturday night company here 2 runs back and still within 6m of the winner, if he gains half a stroke of luck he can arrive.

VOUCHERS (9) made the most of the small field last time out to dart in behind the leader and with the easy trip made the closing shot a winner up the passing lane. With the right trail she can feature again.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4) motored home over the top of them last start for a Redcliffe win in easy fashion as the race favourite. Hitting the board his past 6 in succession, his record here at The Creek is the only nagging concern.

SELECTIONS: DESPONDENT (1), COMMODORE JUJON (6), VOUCHERS (9), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DESPONDENT (1) to win

RACE NINE

In a tough race to close out the card, NO DOUBT (10) might be the one to sneak home with the prize. Runner-up here 2 starts back after being buried in the run before charging home to be within 1.5m of the winner, he followed it with a smart effort over the 2138m. A return to the mile is a big plus.

LORD DIGBY (3) is moving closer to ending a lean spell that dates to December last year as he lines up for the 20th time this season in search of the drought breaker. Easing out of the 1x1 trail to sit outside the leader 2 starts back, he was strong to the line in the closing stages and can throw it down.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (1) has placed in 4 of her past 5 starts as she looks to overturn a winless streak that has lasted the entire season. Setting the tempo last start and clinging on for the bronze, she has the options here.

MONTANA FLASH (7) is given no favours from this alley as he looks to back-up his feature race victory against his own age last start. Hemmed away 3 back against the pegs before sprinting hard to arrive, he is still in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NO DOUBT (10), LORD DIGBY (3), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (1), MONTANA FLASH (7)
SUGGESTED BET: NO DOUBT (10) to win
