RACE TWO

BETTATHANIDEAL (1)
is building into his campaign nicely, showing good improvement at each outing. After closing out strongly from deep in the pack to grab the bronze here 2 starts back, he secured the ideal trail last time and made the closing shot a winning one. He can snipe again.

KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (4) was locked away from inside the 2nd line last start and found them too slippery in the closing stages in a heat of the Peak at headquarters last time out. Grabbed in the last strides after setting the speed here 2 starts back, he has the early bullets to throw it down.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (8) was attacking the line with gusto last start at Marburg to get within a half-head of the winner. A winner at the non-TAB event here 2 runs back, look for him swooping hard.

JUST JOSHIN (9) worked into the contest nicely last start and had the speed to finish over the top for a narrow victory. With a cart into the contest, he can be looking for a podium finish.

SELECTIONS: BETTATHANIDEAL (1), KURAHAUPO GAMBLER (4), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (8), JUST JOSHIN (9)
SUGGESTED BET: BETTATHANIDEAL (1) to win

RACE THREE

IMA BEACH BABE (1)
will take benefit from her latest appearance when resuming from a spell. Settling in the running line, she could not go with the over the closing stages as HELLO ITS ME landed the prize. Runner-up here 3 starts back when setting the speed, she has the gate to capitalise.

BUKTHSYSTEM (6) is in nice touch with a pair of wins in his past 3 starts, the latest when working home over the top from gate 9 to claim a smart win. Strong to the line in fighting off the challengers 3 starts back when wide the last lap at Marburg, the gate stings but he can challenge.

TINGE OF FEAR (4) is still searching for her first win since arriving in Qld after finishing as the runner-up again last time out. Claiming the silver in 4 of her past 5 outings, she can be thereabouts again.

NOT THE KINGSWOOD (7) maps for the soft trip in behind the speed and after 3 run back from a spell can be ready to make a play. Closing out in nice order here 2 starts back, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: IMA BEACH BABE (1), BUKTHSYSTEM (6), TINGE OF FEAR (4), NOT THE KINGSWOOD (7)
SUGGESTED BET: IMA BEACH BABE (1) to win

RACE FOUR

MISTER WOODPORT (1)
is working his way towards a victory after finishing as the runner-up in 2 of his past 3 appearances. Getting out of the ruck and charging home in the closing stages 3 starts back to be just a half-neck in arrears, he chased hard when a half-head from subsequent AP winner WOODLANDS WONDER last time.

FORTYFIVE ROCK (2) was beaten by the gate last start when snagged back in the early stages from gate 6 and then never firing a shot. Gate 4 made it tough when chasing behind REMEMBER BUBBLES the start prior and with the improved alley, he can get to the front and try to stave them off.

SWEET SANGRIA (7) started from gate 8 last time out and was trying to make a closing play behind WOODLADS WONDER. Hitting the line in nice order when 2m in arrears, she can be looking for gaps.

WHERES TASCOTT (8) as a Marburg winner 2 starts back when finding the space to work out of the pocket trail and land the winning blow. Luckless last start and not far away, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MISTER WOODPORT (1), FORTYFIVE ROCK (2), SWEET SANGRIA (7), WHERES TASCOTT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE FIVE

DARBY BRIGHTS (2) has had little luck with barriers of late, her past 3 off the 2nd line and 12 of her past 14 from the mobile when drawn no closer than gate 5. Fighting hard last start when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line at Marburg, she can fire the early bullets and look to see off a win drought.

CLEVER COWBOY (4) has been off the 2nd line at his past 3 starts, the latest when making an error and being banished to the trials. Earning the return ticket with a pair of tidy hit outs, moving back to the front line is a big plus and with no standouts, he can throw down the challenge.

HARRY CROFT (5) made the most of gate 1 here 2 starts back when pouncing on the lead and taking them all the way. Just 1m away last start after sitting parked, he may need to roll the sleeves again.

BLACKJEWEL (1) was soon buried away 3 back from this same gate last start and never warmed up as BUTCHERFEELGOOD claimed an easy win. If she can settle one position closer, she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: DARBY BRIGHTS (2), CLEVER COWBOY (4), HARRY CROFT (5), BLACKJEWEL (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DARBY BRIGHTS (2) to win

RACE SIX

STUDLEIGH WILL (5)
fired out from gate 4 to take control over this trip last start but was unable to see it out, holding on for 2nd behind BUTCHERFEELGOOD. Not suited when asked to sit parked the start prior, if he can get across to the poles cheaply, he can stick on in a tricky contest.

FEELING THE POWER (6) put together successive wins on this track with both over the 1780m trip from the 2nd line. Shut down following the second of those wins back in June, he resumes here with no public trial. The gate is not ideal but with the placings looking wide open, he can challenge.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (4) was searching for space last start when closing out in nice order to be 5m in arrears of the winner. Trying to take them all the way the start prior when fading, she can chime in here.

ELLE JAY (7) looked to have her chance last start at Marburg from gate 2 and after setting the speed could not put them away, finishing with the silver. The economical trip can help.

SELECTIONS: STUDLEIGH WILL (5), FEELING THE POWER (6), TORQUE TO THE MAX (4), ELLE JAY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: STUDLEIGH WILL (5) to win

RACE SEVEN
HARPS (2)
was too gritty here 2 starts back when sent to the breeze from the 2nd line over this trip and in sharp time was able to hold on for victory by a neck margin. Given a shot in the Peak of the Creek Heats, he attacked the line in a blanket finish when just a head away from inside the 2nd line, with the return to the front a huge plus.

LIFES BLACK (4) did some early work in securing is position last time out when tackling a qualifier over the AP mile. Unable to go with them over the closing stages, that run followed successive placings here on The Triangle including a close 2nd after setting the speed.

AMILLION PROMISES (1) is 6 from 11 here at Marburg and with the benefit of the ace gate lands all the options. Just 3m away last start after settling in the 1x1 trail, he gets his opportunity.

LETTERKENNY BOY (6) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts when charging in the closing stages, the latest when just an eyelash short of the prize. The gate stings but the small field will assist.

SELECTIONS:
HARPS (2), LIFES BLACK (4), AMILLION PROMISES (1), LETTERKENNY BOY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: HARPS (2) to win

RACE EIGHT

KATACHA MAN (1)
and LA SAFRON come out of the same race on Wednesday night, with the barriers reversing this time around. A winner two starts back when charging home in the closing stages, his 2nd over the sprint trip 3 runs back was a tough effort and with the options can capitalise.

LA SAFRON (3) has been in super consistent form and 2 starts back was tracking home smartly to grab the bronze behind BONNIES CAM. Just a neck in arrears of HARPS here 3 starts back when darting up the passing lane, he can look to tuck in behind the speed and be ready to challenge.

PEBBLE SANDS (2) was handed the lead last start at Marburg and once in front controlled the speed to claim an effortless victory. He likely won’t get the lead that easy here but has the gate to be in the mix.

CHANCELESS CENTURY (7) was trying to launch a closing raid last time but was unable to bridge the deficit. Chasing from deep in the pack the start prior in a qualifier, he will be probing for gaps.

SELECTIONS: KATACHA MAN (1), LA SAFRON (3), PEBBLE SANDS (2), CHANCELESS CENTURY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-7

RACE NINE

OUR BOY ROY (2)
rolled forward to sit parked last start and then his chances expired when making a gait break. Wide off the track when closing out in smart order the start prior behind KATACHA MAN, he was gritty when holding 3rd the start prior when parked. This looks to be within his reach.

KASE (7) was making his Aus debut and his first appearance in 5 months when striking trouble over the AP mile. Arriving with one win against his name in the South Island of NZ, he will be requiring some factors in his favour from this alley and if they arrive it will give him a challenging chance.

OLD ENGLISH (6) has no favours from the wide gate but will take added improvement from his latest appearance when 2md up in Qld. Forced to do it tough from this gate on that occasion, he can fill the minors here.

SPECIAL MEANING (8) settled back in the pack from gate 2 last time out and was attacking the line strongly over the closing stages to get within a head of the winner. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: OUR BOY ROY (2), KASE (7), OLD ENGLISH (6), SPECIAL MEANING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR BOY ROY (2) to win

RACE TEN

CYCLONE JEREMY (7)
will take plenty of benefit from his first up outing when asked to do it the tough way outside the leader. In for the fight, he went under by a half-head margin after fighting back in the stretch. Needing a slice of luck, if the gaps open in time, he will be hard to hold out.

YARRAMAN ROCKY (1) has been to the races on two occasions and been able to go home finishing 2nd in both. Bets of the chasers behind the clear out winner WHATABOYJACK last time, he was 8m from HURRICANE DREAM on debut. With all the options, he can throw it down.

DOOLITTLE DEXTER (6) started from gate 1 last time in a much tougher contest and was not too far from the winner NON PASSARE. Back to maiden company here is more suitable despite the gate.

ROCK STAR BABE (8) will take some benefit from her last start where she was first up for almost 12 months. Forced to hang tough when sitting parked, she can be thereabouts here.

SELECTIONS: CYCLONE JEREMY (7), YARRAMAN ROCKY (1), DOOLITTLE DEXTER (6), ROCK STAR BABE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: CYCLONE JEREMY (7) to win
