RACE TWO

CINDAROCKINRELLA (7)
started from gate 3 last time out when sent to the post as the favourite. Settling in the 1x1 run in transit, she struck some trouble before grabbing the silver. With the cosy trip, she can be in the lair ready to take the snipers shot.

DARBY BRIGHTS (1) started from gate 2 here 2 starts back and after taking a little longer than anticipated, eventually worked to the front to take control. Unable to see it out, she faded over the closing stages. Not suited wide out at Marburg last time, she gets her chance to capitalise here.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (4) was runner-up at Marburg 3 starts back when best of the rest behind the clear out winner COURAGEOUS WAYS.  The key to his chances will be to avoid being shuffled back.

SUGGESTED BET: CINDAROCKINRELLA (7) to win

RACE THREE

eased from gate 4 last time out and was soon taken to the pegs to settle back in the pack. Trying to launch a closing raid, he was unable to warm up. Runner-up here 2 starts back when finding the pocket trail, he strikes the right type of conditions to claim another victory.

DUKE (5) fired off the arm to take control last time out over the sprint trip. Trying to fight off the challengers, he had to settle for the bronze when 6m from the winner. Eased from gate 6 over the sprint trip 3 starts back, he was strong in the closing stages to be just 3m in arrears and can throw down a challenge.

CLEVER COWBOY (4) did not have much really go his way last start which followed a 6m margin behind HARRY CROFT after working hard in the run. He can be thereabouts again here.

SUGGESTED BET: WEASEL (9) to win

RACE FOUR

FORTYFIVE ROCK (3)
had an early look from gate 4 last start but was unable to find the front. Easing to settle in the 1x1 trail, he was midfield behind COURAGEOUS WAYS. At his best when finding the front, he looks set to be in front and will be gripping on.

LUCINDA JAMAR (5) has placed in 3 of her 4 starts since arriving in Qld, the latest when grabbing 3rd over the AP mile. Hemmed away against the pegs she was chasing as IM LOKI pulled clear for an easy victory. The wide gate is a concern but she can be making a challenge.

SUGGESTED BET: FORTYFIVE ROCK (3) to win

RACE FIVE

OLD ENGLISH (9) tried to take them all the way last start after firing out from gate 3 and trying to lead throughout. Grabbed in the last strides by CYCLONE JEREMY, she will be nearing a fitness peak after 4 runs since arriving in Qld off the back of a spell and can look to throw it down.

SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7) was resuming from a spell from inside the 2nd line last time out and was never in the mix when trailing them in. Breaking her maiden before going for a spell, she will be probing.

AUNTY FRANCES (4) made the most of the good gate last start at Marburg when trying to take them all the way. Grabbed in the closing strides, she was 2m in arrears and can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: SPECIAL MEANING (8), OLD ENGLISH (9), SHEZ NOTORIOUS (7), AUNTY FRANCES (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SPECIAL MEANING (8) to win

RACE SIX

ARNOLD STREET (2)
is a smart 2YO tackling the older horses as he has done in recent outings, the latest when fading over the closing stages after doing some early work outside MISTY CREEK. Sent forward from gate 6 to take them all the way here 4 starts back, he gets his chance to dictate.

GINATIANO (8) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when tackling a mares qualifier at the mile. Beaten by gate 6 the start prior when making a sustained run wide off the track and unable to reel in the deficit, this is a big drop in grade and she can look to ask the questions.

CALL ME TRISH (6) started from inside the 2nd line last start and chased gamely for 2nd behind the dictating winner MISTY CREEK.  The gate is not ideal, but she is up to the challenge.

SUGGESTED BET: ARNOLD STREET (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

HALF MOON BEACH (5)
was asked to sit parked after pressing on from the widest gate last time out at Marburg. Holding on for the bronze after the tough trip, the winner blitzed his rivals in claiming a huge margin. His run 3 starts back was a smart effort and with even luck he can look to capitalise.

TIMENPATIENCE (4) has grabbed the bronze in both starts since resuming from a spell, the latest when chasing from back in the pack as MISTY CRREK controlled it in front. Just a half-neck away when resuming, she can find a handy position to throw down the challenge.

THE CASUAL GOOSE (8) might just appreciate this class of opponent as he searches for his latest win after a 6-starts since he last cashed in from a good alley. With even luck he can chime in.

HEADWIN (7) had to do it the tough way last start when sitting parked over the mile and despite fading in the closing stages, was not too far away. With a cosy trip he will be searching for gaps.

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (8)
can be forgiven for his last start where he struck trouble in the run but continued to see it out after retreating from gate 5 in the early stages. Placed his previous 2 starts, both at Redcliffe, he gets the opportunity to improve the effort.

CLARENDEN DAZZLER (9) was a big winner last start at Marburg when making the most of gate 1 to take them all the way down victory lane. Fitter after 2 runs back from a break, the gate is not ideal but he can make a closing challenge.
BONNIES A ROCKIN (1) flashed some early speed last start and finding the position outside the leader, faded over the closing stages. Runner-up from the pocket trail 2 starts back, she can chime in.

RAANI (6) was too far back last start to issue any sort of challenge and should strip fitter for the run after resuming from a break 2 starts back. With the tough gate owing to an ODM embargo, she can chime in

SUGGESTED BET: AYE AYE CAPTAIN (8) to win

RACE NINE

IN THE PAPER (4)
returned a nice effort last start over the AP 1660m. Eased from gate 6 to secure position , he was a long way off the leader and was forced to cart up the 3-wide train. Closing strongly here 2 starts back when 3.5m from the winner, this looks within reach.

BETTATHANIDEAL (6) was a winner here 2 starts back when making the most of an economical trip in behind the speed. Arriving for a smart win, sitting in the pocket trail behind the leader proved the ideal place to position and despite the wide gate can secure a spot cheaply.

WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (3) was a winner here 4 starts back when finding the running line from this same gate before finishing over the top of them in the closing stages. He can feature again here.
