Racing Queensland confirms that following the abandonment of today’s Tattersall’s meeting at Aquis Park, three of the races have been re-programmed for next week. They are:

Sky Racing Tattersall’s Recognition Stakes, Listed, 1400m*, $130,000

  • Will now be run at the Brisbane Racing Club Race meeting at Doomben on Wednesday, December 1;
  • The venue change has necessitated a change in the race distance from 1400m to 1350m;
  • The same race field has been retained with all scratchings reinstated; and
  • All other conditions pertaining to the race field have been retained including original rider declarations.

Eureka Stud Classic Fillies & Mares, Listed, 1200m, $130,000

  • Will now be run at the Brisbane Racing Club meeting at Doomben on Saturday, December 4;
  • The race will be retained at the same distance of 1200m;
  • The starting (safety) limit for the race will be 16 horses; and
  • In accordance with RQ protocol, the week between the race’s original and amended scheduling has resulted in new nominations for it being called for (i.e. the same race field has not been retained). The deadlines for all transactions relative to this race (ie: nominations, acceptances, rider declarations and scratchings) will now align with those which have been previously published for this race meeting in its entirety. These are prescribed in the RACE publication and on the Racing Australia website.

Tattersall’s Members 2YO Plate, 1100m*, $105,000 (plus QTISx Bonuses)

  • Will now be run at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club (night) meeting at Caloundra on Friday, December 3;
  • The race will be run over 1000m, as opposed to the previously programmed distance of 1100m;
  • The starting (safety) limit for the race will be 14 horses; and
  • In accordance with RQ protocol, the time between the race’s original and amended scheduling has resulted in new nominations for it being called for i.e. the same race field has not been retained.  The deadlines for all transactions relative to this race (i.e. nominations, acceptances, rider declarations and scratchings) will now align with those which have been previously published for this race meeting in its entirety.  These are prescribed in the RACE publication and on the Racing Australia website.

Commensurate with the movement of these races it has been necessary for RQ to make further amendments to the program for the racing week.  They are:

Brisbane RC – Wednesday, December 1

  • QTIS 3yo Maiden Handicap (1200m for $37,000 + QTIS Bonuses), which was previously a late addition to this program & for which nominations previously closed, has been rescheduled and will now be run at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club meeting on Sunday, December 5. As a consequence of the change, new nominations for this race will be called for; and

Ipswich TC – Friday, December 3

  • An additional race will be added to this program.  It will be a BM80, 1200m, the further specifics of which will be provided under separate cover (in a new message) at short notice.

Amended programmes for all of the affected race meetings will be produced as soon as is practicable.
