RACE TWO

FOR TONY (9) made his Qld debut at Marburg on Mon and was sent forward from gate 4. Finding the front he was able to control the pace and hold on for the win. With 2 tidy trials to prepare for his 1st outing and the benefit of added fitness can look to show further improvement here.

MARTHAS VINEYARD (10) has faced the starter 4 times in Qld and done plenty of things wrong in each start. Her run fir 2nd over the 1780m 2 starts back was a handy effort and while she comes at a big risk, starting here at Albion Park for the 1st time is a huge plus and she can sneak away with this.

KIWI SOLDIER (1) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts when able to secure peg-line runs on each occasion. Beaten 4m from the pocket trail 2 starts back he made good closing ground when 3 back when 3m from CONTRARY COURAGE last start. From the gate he will be right in the fight.

POPS CHANGE (5) has been runner-up in 2 of his 4 career starts. Chopped down late over the 2040m at Redcliffe when looking to take them all the way, he can look to fill the minors here.

SELECTIONS: FOR TONY (9), MARTHAS VINEYARD (10), KIWI SOLDIER (1), POPS CHANGE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: FOR TONY (9) to win

RACE THREE

MACH SAM (6) has a tricky gate to overcome here but with even luck can find a position and breakthrough. He was finding the line in nice style to get within a half-neck of victory behind TIWANAKU 3 starts back and then last start met a stronger line-up. This is within reach.

INVITE ONLY (9) took on a mares qualifier last start and after finding the front from gate 4 released and was soon buried 3 back along the pegs. She hit the line in good style when finding open space and her run 2 back behind OLIVER WINKLE was a tidy effort. Trailing through early she is in the mix.

PROJECTILE (1) took on a much stronger contest last start when returning a sound effort behind LILAC FLASH. Stoked up he might just have enough to hold them out and with limited mid-race pressure looking engaged can give plenty of cheek.

BIG IN AMERICA (5) secured running line cover last start and worked home to grab the bronze behind IM NORMA JEAN. Not suited the start prior from gate 7 she has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: MACH SAM (6), INVITE ONLY (9), PROJECTILE (1), BIG IN AMERICA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: PROJECTILE (1) to place

RACE FOUR

CHEYENNE WARRIOR (4)
was buried on the pegs last start and never fired a shot when covered in the run. Taken back and unable to find position the start prior he was luckless, he can be fired off the gate here and if able to find the pegs will return a much sharper effort and is worth a shot in this.

JOHNNYCAKE (12) started from gate 10 last start and was working home strongly to get within a half-neck of the winner LOTS MORE GRINS. His previous start he never had a clean crack when probing for an opening and despite a tough gate can throw down a challenge here.

OSCARS GLORY (11) settled in the 1x1 last start and chased home to hold 4th when 11m from the winner LOTS MORE GRINS. With the right trail into the contest he can be around the money.

FARRAHFOWLER (10) rolled forward last start and had a brief look for the front before cutting the breeze throughout. The run was solid when digging in for the fight and she can place here.

SELECTIONS: CHEYENNE WARRIOR (4), JOHNNYCAKE (12), OSCARS GLORY (11), FARRAHFOWLER (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

LYNNSANITY (2) was after a hat-trick last start but came up short when landing a 2nd line gate and although he was not going to feature, locked wheels on the home-turn. He worked home strongly to score over the 1780m at his Qld debut and with good early speed has the early options here.

STEVIE DEE (7) has wins in 3 of her past 4 starts, including a last start win when working home strongly from this same gate to go past them in the stretch and record a 7m victory. That followed a stylish effort from the 2nd line at Redcliffe and with even luck can throw down a challenge here.

OUR PEPPERJACK (1) looked to take them all the way over the 2040m at Redcliffe 2 starts back and was fighting hard to go down a half-neck. He worked hard last start and with a cosy trip has claims.

DARBY BRIGHTS (8) will need her share of luck in the run from this gate but will be fitter following 2 runs back from a break. She closed out in good order last start and if the gaps open will charge.

SELECTIONS: LYNNSANITY (2), STEVIE DEE (7), OUR PEPPERJACK (1), DARBY BRIGHTS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LYNNSANITY (2) to win

RACE SIX

TAP IT IN (6)
rolled forward from the 2nd line to face the breeze over the 1780m at Redcliffe 3 starts back and went down fighting when 3m from the winner and holding 3rd. Runner-up at his 2 starts since that run, he was beaten a half-neck last start as favourite. From the gate he will go close again.

MALONE (9) finished best of the chasing pack behind the smart ONE OFF 3 starts back after a tough run in transit. He followed that at Redcliffe with a tough run when 4m from STEVIE DEE and then at Marburg on Monday just couldn’t get into the contest. Back to AP will suit and he can be sharper.

JEENUFLECTION (2) makes her 1st appearance at AP and will take further benefit from her latest outing when 3rd up from a 12 month break. From her best gate this time in, she can be an improver.

PARKLANE LASS (4) has been runner-up at her past 2 starts with the latest effort a nice run when making good closing ground from gate 6. She can look to get forward here and is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MALONE (9), TAP IT IN (6), JEENUFLECTION (2), PARKLANE LASS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-4-6-9

RACE SEVEN

ONE MANS PASS (10) has found some rhythm and been in the top 3 at his past 4 in succession including 2 victories. Finding his easiest assignment for some time at Redcliffe 4 starts back he scored comfortably and has built off that. Finishing hard from back in the pack to score last start he looks well placed to take this.

BROADWATER (4) has had 3 runs back from a break and been solid in each including a 1st up win when taking them all the way from gate 1. When 2nd up he was in the pocket trail from inside the 2nd line which is not his best position when claiming the bronze. He can roll forward and challenge here.

BIG BEAT (6) started from gate 4 over the 1780m 3 starts back and finished too strongly to score and followed that with a tidy 2nd from the 2nd line. He charged home late last start and can be swooping hard again here.

HEAVENS HINT (8) had the speed to find the pegs last start before taking a trail and then chased home for the bronze. If she can get to the passing lane with momentum she will be finishing hard.

SELECTIONS: ONE MANS PASS (10), BROADWATER (4), BIG BEAT (6), HEAVENS HINT (8)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE MANS PASS (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

IOWNATURBO (9)
looks to get into this race nicely and should appreciate this class of opponent. Taking on mares races her past 2, she has not been too far away behind ZARAS DELIGHT and then JANUARY. Only beaten a half-neck behind OUR CHITTYBANGBANG 3 starts back she will be looking to swoop over the top here.

SPEEDIE MCARDLE (1) was a winner 3 starts back when he found the right race and was able to finish best to arrive for the win. His next start had merit behind the in-form LILAC FLASH and then last start from gate 7 was hitting the line strongly when 1.5m from the winner. The gate suits.

VADER (12) worked home in good style despite being well beaten 2 starts back running some nice closing sectionals. Showing the strength of that beaten run last start he finished best down the centre of the track to score. He will be closing out hard again here.

TIWANAKU (6) was grabbed in the closing stages to take the silver at his Qld debut here 3 starts back and has since gone all the way in successive 1780m Redcliffe wins. The gate hurts but winning form is hard to knock.

SELECTIONS: IOWNATURBO (9), SPEEDIE MCARDLE (1), VADER (12), TIWANAKU (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-9-12
