RACE TWO

HONEY PLEASE (3) has only been 3m from the winner at each of her 2 previous starts. Stepping cleanly to the front last start she was digging deep in the stretch over the 2647m trip to be grabbed late by ASTRAL RULER. With a safe get-away she will give plenty of cheek in this.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (9) has been freshened since his last outing when he refused to go from a 60m impost. Banished to the trials he has returned 2 handy performances to earn the ticket back to the track and from the 20m can look to inject himself into the contest.

STONED AGAIN (10) isn’t far off a win in the right race. Quickly away here 2 starts back from a 30m tape, he soon was in the front and went down swinging when 3rd to LIAVA. He is in the mix.

DAY TOURER (8) has been in the money at 4 of his past 5 starts with the latest a tidy effort behind JETER. 2nd to PATSDELIGHT at Redcliffe was a nice effort and he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: HONEY PLEASE (3), NORTHERN MUSCLE (9), STONED AGAIN (10), DAY TOURER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: HONEY PLEASE (3) to win

RACE THREE

INCITER (8) did his share of work in the run at Redcliffe last start when rolling forward from gate 5 to the breeze and then fighting to the line when claiming a 4.5m 2nd. Yet to miss a placing here at Marburg, he has the impressive figures of 9: 4-4-1 and despite the 2nd line can take control of this.

MONTANA BRAVE (2) grabbed the bronze at Gympie last start which followed a tough run from the 2nd line where he struck trouble in the run. From an improved gate he can look to return a sharper effort.

TASCOTT LADY (7) should appreciate this class of race and with even luck in transit can be in the numbers. Only 3m from WEASEL last start after cutting the breeze, she will in the mix here.

NOT ALWAYS (4) was hitting the line strongly from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back and went within 1.5m of the winner. With the right luck from a tricky gate, he can fill the multiples.

SELECTIONS: INCITER (8), MONTANA BRAVE (2), TASCOTT LADY (7), NOT ALWAYS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: INCITER (8) to win

RACE FOUR

PACIFIC DRUMS (5)
has placed his past 3 starts when looking to lead all the way on each occasion. He was fighting hard last start over the 2138m trip when beaten a half-neck behind SPRING CAMPAIGN. He dug in for the fight when 2nd to MR KALYPSO 2 back and can be too slick here.

DOMESTIC ART (2) loves the Marburg track and more importantly loves to roll along in front when racing here. Grabbed in the closing stages by SOLDIER ODF FORTUNE here 4 starts back when trying to lead all the way, he can find the pegs and will be trying to fend them off.

BONNIE JUJON (7) was returning from a break last time out and after landing gate 7 was looking to come around them late. Fighting hard she was 2nd but under 2m away. With the right early trail through she can feature.

SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (8) went to the front from gate 2 here 3 starts back and taking control was a comfortable winner. A six-time winner at the track, he will be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: PACIFIC DRUMS (5), DOMESTIC ART (2), BONNIE JUJON (7), SOLDIER OF FORTUNE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: PACIFIC DRUMS (5) to win

RACE FIVE

TELL THE FUTURE (2) will be further tightened after going around on Thurs when 2nd up from a break. Holding the front from gate 2 over the Redcliffe 1780m when returning, she set a solid closing 800m and led them deep into the stretch. With early speed she can look to take them all the way.

PACIFIC COIN (1) resumes from a spell and was last seen when returning a sound effort at AP from a 2nd line gate. 2nd at Tamworth when 1st up for the Stacey Weidemann barn, he will get a great trip from the gate and can challenge.

RIVERLEIGH JEFF (7) was working home nicely last start when 8m from the winner HOT ROD HEAVEN in a qualifier. Finding the right position and with a strong record at the track he can feature.

JAX NAVARO (5) has been freshened since his last outing when fading off after doing plenty of work in the run. A Redcliffe winner 4 starts back he is a place hope from the tough gate.

SELECTIONS: TELL THE FUTURE (2), PACIFIC COIN (1), RIVERLEIGH JEFF (7), JAX NAVARO (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TELL THE FUTURE (2) to win

RACE SIX

FOR TONY (4)
will be 2nd-up in Aus and resumes from a break here at his 1st start for Darrel Graham. He has opened the pipes in 2 trials to prepare with the 2nd of those a solid performance. Still a maiden, he can look to open his account in style here.

HIGH ON MONTANA (9) has the perfect record here at Marburg of 3 from 3. Starting from this gate over the 1850m trip 3 starts back, he was sent forward early to find the front and once in control was able to dominate and score a 20m victory. With even luck in transit he can ask the questions.

ARK TEAMO (8) had claimed the bronze in 3 successive starts prior to her latest outing when retired from the race. With a tidy trial to earn her ticket back to the races she has place claims here.

MONTANA NIGHTS (1) is a well-bred 4YO making his debut for Al Barnes. A half-brother to GASMONKEY he has trialled fairly and from the inside alley can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: FOR TONY (4), HIGH ON MONTANA (9), ARK TEAMO (8), MONTANA NIGHTS (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

FRANCO TOTEM (5) took a while to warm-up this campaign but has quickly turned the heat up to come into this with victories at his past 3 starts. Pressing forward from gate 7 last start he took control and was impressive in winning over the 1660m. He is in the zone and can add this to the list.

MR MEDDLE (3) sat back in the pack and charged home to score a stylish victory at AP last week in a 2nd division qualifier. He will be on the short back-up after taking on a qualifier on Sat night but with some nice figures from the tapes can look to make a strong challenge here.

SIR JULIAN (6) was too far back in the pack 2 starts back which followed his 1st Qld win. His record from the stand is superb at 8: 4-2-0 and he will be right in the mix here.

COMIGAL (4) was wide off the track last start and worked home in good order to be 8m from the winner HOT DOGMA. A strong all the way winner 3 starts back she can be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: FRANCO TOTEM (5), MR MEDDLE (3), SIR JULIAN (6), COMIGAL (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FRANCO TOTEM (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

CONCENTRATION (3)
started from the 2nd line last start and was working home strongly wide off the track at Redcliffe to finish 3m from the winner IM TOOT. A tough 2nd from the breeze here 3 starts back behind ONE OFF, he has the speed to look for the pegs and from the front will take stitching.

LETHAL PROMISE (9) added another minor placing to his tally last start to keep a long string of placed runs progressing. Looking to take them all the way it was only the in-form GOODTIME STRIDE that was able to run him down. Circling early he can look to ask the questions and can feature.

TAKITUMU EXPRESS (4) steps out for Greg Elkins at his Aus debut and has not raced since Jul. His last start was a tidy effort and despite being winless since Nov 2017 he stays under notice.

VELUTI (5) makes his Qld debut for Jack Butler and will be searching for a maiden breaking win. Given a nice trial he did enough to suggest he can chime into the exotics in this.

SELECTIONS: CONCENTRATION (3), LETHAL PROMISE (9), TAKITUMU EXPRESS (4), VELUTI (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CONCENTRATION (3) to win

RACE NINE

MALONE (4)
made a mess of things here 3 starts back which was a heat for a final at AP. Luckily he was able to scrape through to the final where he finished best of the chasing pack behind the smart ONE OFF. His last start was a nice effort at Redcliffe behind STEVIE DEE and this looks within reach.

IM TOOT (9) doesn’t have any favours from the 2nd line but has been impressive since arriving in Qld. On the back-up from Fri where he was going in search of a hat-trick of victories, the 1st of those a nice effort when putting up a 21m margin over his rivals. He can feature in this.

STRANGE CONDUCT (2) was a winner here over the 1850m trip 3 starts back when proving too tough from the breeze. Not suited from wide gates his next 2, he has podium claims here.

ARTS PEREGRINE (5) will need some luck in transit to challenge but he is in nice touch and was a Redcliffe winner last start over the 2040m trip. A tough 2nd at Redcliffe 2 starts back he is a rough hope.

SELECTIONS: MALONE (4), IM TOOT (9), STRANGE CONDUCT (2), ARTS PEREGRINE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: MALONE (4) to win
