"He deserved that he's been racing consistently well without winning and he got the right run today with Jimmy (Byrne) being a bit more positive with the ride."

"I was a little worried early with a few going forward, but they backed off mid race and that sort of racing pattern really suits when he can find his flow and get through his gears properly."

"It's incredible the amount of water the track takes, I scratched a horse from the last race because I think it'll be a bit firm today, I expect it to hold up throughout the day."

Jockey - Jim Byrne

"He's been getting a little bit too far out of his ground and always finishes his races off. Even today was a little awkward when a few ran along with us early but he settled lovely mid race."

"This track here races really well with a little bit of water on it, it was ideal out there."

Trainer - Robert Heathcote

"What an ordeal for all these two-year-old's today. A lot having their first start, having to deal with the weather going back to the stalls about three times, but our boy has come through with flying colours."

"If you told me a month ago I'd have him winning a QTIS two-year-old in town I wouldn't have believed you, but they surprise you two-year-old's and he's come along in leaps and bounds."

"Very impressed with the fashion he did it as well, in a real battle with Gotta Kiss up the straight he pulled out plenty he looks like he's got an exciting future."

Jockey - Jim Byrne

"I galloped him earlier in the week and the thing that jumped out to me was just how relaxed he was."

"That was key today when we got to the front and dropped anchor he didn't pull at all."

"We were under pressure with Gotta Kiss heading us in the straight, but he never felt like he was going to shut up shop I think he'll get the mile in the future."

Stable Foreman - Craig Cavanough

"Fantastic result to get a metropolitan trifecta. The team turned them all out really well today and they ran up to that."

"Shalwa pulled her head off in a slowly run race first up, but today with the speed on and Baylee's (Nothdurft) patience it looked a nice race for her."

"Nice surprise with Cailini, she was well beaten last start at Caloundra, but really enjoyed that little bit of sting out of the track today."

"Vienna Power will only improve on that, he showed early speed he just needs some conditioning to run his races out."

Jockey - Baylee Nothdurft

"We had a pretty good run one out one back to the corner where I pulled her out three deep and she really appreciated the softness of the track especially late I think she'll handle a bit further."

"I thought she would have put them away a bit earlier, but she was doing her best work late."

"They're not really getting into the track it's just a spongey surface."

Trainer - John Smerdon

"He was wound up for today. He had a public trial, but we've done plenty of work with him and Ryan (Maloney) has been there all the way."

"He really settled in well late last prep which was his first with us and the break has done him the world of good and the little bit of rain was handy too."

"He'd stepped up to everything we'd asked him to last prep and decided to go out on a high with two wins knowing he'd come back stronger this time round."

"I think he's learned to settle a bit better which will enable him to get up over the 1200 metres this prep."

Jockey - Ryan Maloney

"He's usually known as a backmarker but being fresh he was very keen early and I just let him find his spot in the race."

"We got put in a bit of a pocket, but he shoved his way through and showed his class."

"John's really worked him out after his first prep and we were both pretty confident he'd produce something like this today."

Trainer - Garnett Taylor

"I wasn't that dissapointed with her first up run, 1400 wasn't ideal and she never really got a look in the race."

"Ryan (Wiggins) worked her during the week and was really positive she'd race well this week and she has."

"She was probably ten off them mid race, but Ryan knew she'd be doing her best work late. I wasn't too worried."

"You have to ride her like that, you can't muscle her early. We've tried that with her before and it just doesn't suit her racing pattern."

"We haven't travelled with her yet but it's a door that we'll keep open, her next task will be Caloundra in three weeks."

Jockey - Ryan Wiggins

"She was a little bit dissapointing the other day, she probably just wasn't quite wound up first up but felt the benfits today."

"She'll never be any bigger but she's got a huge motor and not many horses can sprint like that and are capable of going 2000 metres and above, she'll win plenty of races like that."

"I'm a little bit relieved now. When they initially went across the line I didn't think he got up, but Steph (Thornton) did a great job getting his nose down."

"I think when he came away from the fence in the straight he got a little bit lost and it wasn't until those horses ran up his inside he really knuckled down."

"He's one of those horses that's come back better every preparation and there's no reason he can't continue on."

"He's a Magic Millions horse, but whether those races on Magic Millions day are a bit too classy for him I'm not sure, he keeps raising the bar so maybe not."

Jockey - Steph Thornton

"He's a pleasure to ride. He loves getting out in front and rolling along, for a veteran horse he's got that bad habit of drifting out in the straight but lucky he's tough enough to get it done."

"He's a real fighter he loves his racing he was flat to the boards at the 200 and kept lifting to the line."

Trainer - Robert Heathcote

"He's been making steady progress in his return to form, he was a very good horse this time last year and I took him down to Sydney and didn't quite come back with the same bravado."

"This preparation he's come back and showed improvement each time out culminating in today."

"Ron Stewart is a good rider and he summed things up well taking the rails run and you've got to give the team here at Eagle farm a huge amount of credit the track has taken 11 mills and is still going super."

Jockey - Ron Stewart

"I think getting him back to the mile was key for him, he performed well there last start and went on with it today."

"If anything we hit the front a bit soon, but I had to take the run when it presented itself and he had the fitness to hold on."

"When we brought her here about a month ago she just wasn't ready. Her coat hadn't come on and she fell well short on that occasion."

"We took her to Grafton for a bit of an easier assignment after a fortnight's break and she went to the front there and won and stripped much fitter for the run."

"Coming back today expectations were a lot higher but that's a hot young field of three-year-old's she's held off under a great ride by Matt (McGillivray)."

"She's going to be a serious filly in six months time, we've got a high opinion of her."

Jockey - Matthew McGillivray

"I've ridden her last two starts now, she's got really nice barrier speed and just like she did at Grafton she put herself in the pole position today."

"I wanted to lead but was expecting a bit of company, when we got things our own way I always knew she was going to have a kick in the straight."

"Looking at his replays he's shown a lot of ability as a lightly raced four-year-old, an extra hundred metres last week at the Gold Coast and he probably wins, he got that today and found some late."

"Six starts and three wins it's not bad reading if he can get a clear run at it he could be a horse going places."

"He was well placed today, the track was a bit hard for him at Rockhampton last start. He really enjoyed a bit of chop in the ground and the good barrier."

"He won the Battle of The Bush here with Bevan Johnson and I was lucky enough to get him for the Northern Carnivals and now a few city races."

"Big credit to the whole team at home getting him here in great condition and a beautifully executed ride from Baylee Nothdurft."

Jockey - Baylee Nothdurft

"Things panned out perfectly, we had a little discussion before the race saying just find him a spot not too far back and hope for the runs to open up and fortunately they did."

"Watching his replays I knew if i was close enough for the sprint he'd come over the tp of them and he put them away softly in the end."
