RACE TWO

BLUE SHARD (3) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when finishing in a mid-field position but still only 5m from the winner MILLWOOD TILLY. Grinding it out in the breeze the start prior when putting in a strong claim for victory when only beaten a neck, he looks to have found a winnable event here.

FIRE ME UP (1) was a winner here 3 starts back when securing the 1x1 trail and then finishing over the top of them to claim a narrow victory. Snagged back to find position at her next start and unable to get into the contest, she was best of the chasers last start behind the big winner KWASII. The gate suits.

RANCHO MAN (8) was returning from a freshen last start at Redcliffe when asked to do it the tough way outside the leader. Fitter for that outing, he can get an easy trip to look for openings late.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (4) will strip fitter following his return to the track last start when 1st up in 4 months. Fading after a tough run in the breeze over the Redcliffe 2040m, he has place claims in this.

SELECTIONS: BLUE SHARD (3), FIRE ME UP (1), RANCHO MAN (8), GUY LOOKS GOOD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: BLUE SHARD (3) to win

RACE THREE

As usual a tricky claimer where a case can, be made for a few of these with the 2138m tempo a pivotal factor for the chances of some of these. With 2nd line gates in his past 3 starts INTRANSIT (5) has still not been too far away, the latest when 2m away to claim the silver. With even luck in transit, he can grab this.

WATTLEBANK FLYER (3) had it run to order for him last week when sitting in the sniper’s seat from inside the 2nd line. When the passing lane presented, he sprinted sharply to put them away for an easy victory in the end. Placed in 3 of his previous 4 starts, he can settle close to the action to again challenge in the stretch.

IMA TOP TYCOON (6) retreated from gate 7 last time out and was a long way back in the pack when trying to join in. Working in the breeze from this gate 2 starts back, he has podium claims if limiting the burn.

MARK DENNIS (1) was a winner over this trip 2 starts back when able to get to the front from gate 3 and then fight them all off. Forced to race tough last start, the gate is a big plus to his chances here.

SELECTIONS: INTRANSIT (5), WATTLEBANK FLYER (3), IMA TOP TYCOON (6), MARK DENNIS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: INTRANSIT (5) to win

RACE FOUR

JEDDY R YA READY (9)
is knocking on the door and he looks to have found the conditions here for the door to open. Stepping cleanly prior to releasing over the long trip 2 starts back, he challenged in the closing stride to get within a neck of the winner GEE UP NEDDY. His run here Tuesday was full of merit after caught wide and snagging back to the rear before charging home. This looks ideal.

AVEROSS DON (3) settled back in the pack from his 20m handicap last time out prior to closing strongly to be 2m from the winner in grabbing the bronze. The 30m tape was his undoing the start prior and with good speed out of the machine last time he tackled mobile conditions, he can be in a prominent position to strike.

GODOFTHUNDER (6) will take good benefit from his 1st outing in Qld when taking on the open class performers. After a cosy run in behind the speed, he hit the line nicely and can improve further again here.

IVANOV (8) will need a slice of luck to fall his way from this gate, but if sighting a gap in time, can be chiming in. It has been a while between victory drinks, but the gate can help him find the podium.

SELECTIONS: JEDDY R YA READY (9), AVEROSS DON (3), GODOFTHUNDER (6), IVANOV (8)
SUGGESTED BET: JEDDY R YA READY (9) to win

RACE FIVE

LARRY LINCOLN (2)
was a 1st up winner in Qld over the mile when proving too strong after a tough and wide run. His next 2 starts have both been over the middle distance of the 2138m where he has been obliged to work in the run but been unable to go on with it. Back to the mile looks ideal and could be the impetus for him to bounce back.

ITS SUPER EASY (3) secured the perfect trip here on Tuesday in behind the speed before taking his shot up the passing lane to score a 2m victory. Taking further fitness from that performance when 2nd up from a let-up, he can settle handy to the action ready to take his shot once again.

SIGNORINA JUJON (4) resumes from a break and will take good benefit on whatever she can achieve here. Beaten by gate 6 last start at Redcliffe when retreating, it followed 3 successive placings.

MOTU AMETHYST (8) will have the early options as the lone 2nd line runner. Taking the trail here 2 starts back from gate 1, she had too much closing speed. Down the line behind MAJOR FERNCO in the Gold Pot Final last start, she has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: LARRY LINCOLN (2), ITS SUPER EASY (3), SIGNORINA JUJON (4), MOTU AMETHYST (8)
SUGGESTED BET: LARRY LINCOLN (2) to win

RACE SIX

ARK ME (1) will strip fitter following 2 runs back from a spell the latest when buried in the run. Starting from this gate over the mile she was soon buried in the run after staying out of a sub 27 opening blitz. 9m from the winner ROLL WITH ROCKY, she looks to have found conditions to strike.

SUN SAFE (5) makes her 1st appearance in Qld for the Chantal Turpin barn and arrives with placings at her past 4 in succession. A beaten favourite last start at Wagga when sent forward from the widest gate to find the front, she returns from a freshen here, with a local trial to prepare. The gate makes it tricky 1st up.

BETTOR SPORT (2) will have 1st option to dive in behind the speed if required and will be fitter from 1 run back from a let-up. Working home strongly in the closing stages last start, he can be in the mix.

FIRE AND ICE (4) set the tempo last start at Redcliffe over the 2040m trip. Given no peace in front, he dug in for the fight to hold the bronze when 5m from the winner. He can place again here.

SELECTIONS: ARK ME (1), SUN SAFE (5), BETTOR SPORT (2), FIRE AND ICE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK ME (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

LUCKY UNLUCKY (1) made the most of this gate last start to claim a qualifying victory when leading them all the way over the mile and breaking clear for an easy 7m victory. Forced to work hard the start prior from gate 6, he holds all the aces again from this gate and can fight them off again.

CLASSIE AMERICAN (2) is still chasing a drought breaking win after finding the winners enclosure out of reach in 2020. That has not been through lack of effort as he has been close on a few occasions and been running some sharp closing splits. The closing tempo from the front beat him last start and with the chance to snag straight in behind the speed here can see him ready to strike.

COMMODORE JUJON (4) found the 1x1 trail last start after they went hard up front, sizzling through a sub 27 opener. With the right trip and produced at the right time, he grabbed a last stride victory. He might need to roll the sleeves here but can be in the fight.

BEE GEES BANDIT (6) has no favours from the wide gate here with the speed to his inside but the small field will help his closing chances. Working home strongly last start from well back, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: LUCKY UNLUCKY (1), CLASSIE AMERICAN (2), COMMODORE JUJON (4), BEE GEES BANDIT (6)
SUGGESTED BET: LUCKY UNLUCKY (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

RUNFORTHEROSES (8) has been in the money at 3 of her past 5 starts, the latest when trying to fight them off after setting the speed. Gripping on in the stretch, she could not see it out when claiming the bronze. 7m from CONVAIR HUSTLER 3 starts back, she can take the snipers shot here.

SONNY ORLANDO (3) was a winner here 4 starts back when buried away from inside the 2nd line before sighting a gap and sprinting sharply to arrive for a stylish win. Buried again last start, he would have been closer than the 3m margin if the gaps arrived sooner and he looms large in this.

HIGH ON MONTANA (5) has been all around the money in recent starts scoring victory and finishing the runner-up on 3 other occasions, all in his past 4 starts. Only a head away last start, this is not out of reach.

OUR BALOU (7) went to the pegs here 2 starts over the mile back when searching for gaps to be 6m from SOHO TSUNAMI. Sent to the breeze over the 2138m last start, he was game in defeat when only a neck from the winner. He can feature again despite the gate.

SELECTIONS: RUNFORTHEROSES (8), SONNY ORLANDO (3), HIGH ON MONTANA (5), OUR BALOU (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

DESTINY JANE (4) held them wide from gate 1 over the Redcliffe sprint trip last start and was allowed to amble through the opening half. Looking to dial it up, she was unable to fight them off when beaten a half-neck. Fitter again after 2 runs back from 12 months off, she gets her chance.

IAM ROCHELLES ART (2) led them up at Redcliffe 5 starts back and was clinging on in the closing stages when grabbed late to be 4m in arrears. A passing lane 3rd over the 2040m at her next start, she can look to fire the 1st shot here and with the options thereafter can be in the mix.

JAGGERS SWAGGER (7) should appreciate maiden company after meeting a stronger contest on debut. Buried in the run from gate 1 when slowly away, his preparatory trials were good and he can be sharper.

GAME KEEPER (6) looked to lead throughout at Redcliffe 2 starts back when setting some even fractions in front prior to fading. Not receiving the cleanest passage last start, he is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: DESTINY JANE (4), IAM ROCHELLES ART (2), JAGGERS SWAGGER (7), GAME KEEPER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DESTINY JANE (4) to win

RACE TEN

Tricky trot over the long trip to close the night where despite the big handicap JANSSON (6) might find the drop in grade enough to overcome the mark. Holding on for 2nd here on Tuesday when settled behind the leader and winner CHASING GREAT, it had followed successive wins. This is within reach.

ROCKET NOVA (5) was only beaten a half-neck over the 2138m 4 starts back and then was huge in defeat when losing a stack of ground when making an error. Franking that effort with victory at his next start, forget his latest run when making an error. If he can trot cleanly, he can throw it down.

HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (1) did everything required on debut when stepping straight to the front and then keeping them chasing all the way over the Redcliffe 2280m. There are tougher opponents here, but the debut was strong.

KAPAI (3) will take some benefit from his last start when returning from a break. Pressing forward early to find position, he wilted in the closing stages. With a good record over the long trip, he can improve.

SELECTIONS: JANSSON (6), ROCKET NOVA (5), HELLO JOLENE JOLENE (1), KAPAI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: JANSSON (6) to win
