RACE TWO

It may be a small field, but this race is deep with talent and form and as often can prevail in smaller fields, it can become a tactical battle. Despite the wide gate, DELIGHTFUL MAJOR (5) might just appreciate this assignment after running into KIWIS ARE FLYING at his past 2. Hitting the line nicely to grab the bronze last start in some sharp individual splits, he can look to capitalise here.

VIRGIL (2) has returned from a break in good order, running in the top-two at 3 of 4 starts since resuming. Taking the trail last start, he held on for the silver which had followed a passing lane win over the 2138m. He can fire the early shots here to throw down a strong challenge.

IT AINT THE MONEY (4) was the beneficiary of a hot tempo over the mile here last week. Settling near the rear from gate 10, he charged home to claim the prize. The rise to the 2138m is a query, but his 2nd up win here last time keeps him in calculations here.

VOUCHERS (3) arrives in Qld with a top-2 at her past 5 in succession in Vic. Joining the Shannon Price barn, the 3YO filly meets a tough line-up 1st up but is a talented type that will be worth following.

SELECTIONS: DELIGHTFUL MAJOR (5), VIRGIL (2), IT AINT THE MONEY (4), VOUCHERS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DELIGHTFUL MAJOR (5) to win

RACE THREE

A first starter by Hurrikane Kingcole trained by Darren Weeks, CYCLONE JEREMY (7) is given no favours on debut from the carpark. However, he has impressed in his preparatory work, with a pair of nice trials in readiness for his initial outing. Aided by not an overly strong maiden field, he can overcome the gate impediment.

MONTANA MYSTIQUE (1) will be looking to make the most of the gate advantage she receives with landing the ace where she will strip fitter from her latest start when returning from a break. Angled to the pegs from gate 3 last start, she was sound to the line behind TEE JAY CEE and looms large from this alley.

WOODLANDS ROSE (5) is working towards a maiden breaking victory after placing at her past 3 in succession. Working home in good order for the bronze last start, she has faced wide gates in all 4 career starts and can chime in again here.

DOOLITTLE DEXTER (6) was beaten by gate 7 here last week when retreating and then from back in the pack could not get into the contest. A tidy 2nd behind older horses 3 starts back, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: CYCLONE JEREMY (7), MONTANA MYSTIQUE (1), WOODLANDS ROSE (5), DOOLITTLE DEXTER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CYCLONE JEREMY (7) to win

RACE FOUR

MISTER COLE (1)
soon found himself a long way back in the pack last start from a 2nd line gate as they filled their positions. Finishing down the line after unable to get into the contest, it had followed 3 successive placed returns. With the benefit of the early options, he gets every chance.

MONTANA EXPRESS (7) will be suited by the small field here and can be ready to make a swooping play. Making strong closing ground at Redcliffe last start to be within 2m of the winner, he was mid-field here the start prior over this trip. With even luck in transit, he can challenge late.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6) has been in great touch this campaign, hitting the board in 6 of his 7 outings. Aided by a neat steer last start to find the pocket trail from 2 the 2nd line, it was the winning move as he arrived up the passing lane. The rise to the middle-distance throws up some questions.

JOEY LINCOLN (2) will take good benefit from his latest outing when returning from a 3-month enforced layoff. Eased from gate 7 to look for short-cuts, he closed well to be 7m in arrears. He is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MISTER COLE (1), MONTANA EXPRESS (7), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (6), JOEY LINCOLN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISTER COLE (1) to win

RACE FIVE

BOMBADIER JUJON (1)
has been sparingly raced through the season and lines up here fresh since a stylish 2nd last time out back on September 19. Tackling a strong 3YO event on that occasion, he attacked the line when only a neck away from ONE CHANGE in a 1.51.1 mile. With the options off the ace, he can take the snipers shot.

NURBURGRING (4) lines up for the hat-trick after successive wins at this trip when claiming a qualifier 2 starts back and then his latest when scoring a comfortable 5m victory. Doing it in front in each of those, he may need to roll the sleeves here, but finishing top-two in 7 of his 8 here at The Creek, he will be throwing it down again.

MACH LE MORE (2) features in a stable switch and will line up for Vicki Rasmussen for the 1st time. In great form since arriving in Qld, he was out of the pack to be the best of the chasers behind the airborne KIWIS ARE FLYING last start. From this gate he will be in the thick of it.

OUR MAJOR DAY (6) will take great benefit from his return from a spell here last week when securing a cosy trip in behind the speed. Using the passing lane, it was an encouraging resumption behind NURBURGRING. The gate stings, but he can chime in if the tempo is hot.

SELECTIONS: BOMBADIER JUJON (1), NURBURGRING (4), MACH LE MORE (2), OUR MAJOR DAY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-6

RACE SIX

LANCELOT BROMAC (6) lands the wide gate, but this contest is not out of reach. Eased to find position last start, he was working home strongly in the closing stages when 6m from the winner BARA JAYLA. Tough when toiling in the breeze the start prior, he can turn back the clock.

BLISSFULDAY (4) made the most of gate 1 over the Redcliffe 2040m 2 starts back when lighting the lamps and then pulling clear for a big 14m victory. Grabbed in the closing strides last start when setting the speed by the passing lane winner ITS SUPER EASY, he is in the fight once again.

FLAME LADY (1) makes her 1st Aus appearance for the visiting Moon stable, arriving a two-time winner back in NZ. With no public trials to gauge where she is at, she must be respected off the ace.

MATAU JESS (10) is 1st up in Aust for Steve Borg and come into this contest with a solitary start back in NZ in December of last year. Sticking to a helmet in a recent trial against experienced campaigners, there was a bit to like about the hit-out and she stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: LANCELOT BROMAC (6), BLISSFULDAY (4), FLAME LADY (1), MATAU JESS (10),
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

NIMAH FRANCO (9) was soon locked away on the pegs last start from inside the 2nd line as the pressure was on out in front. With the leader waving the white flag, she copped the backwash losing all momentum prior to the passing lane. With some tempo in front and better luck, she can arrive.

ROLL WITH ROCKY (3) was 1st to the pegs before opting for cover last start. With the easy run in transit, he was able to finish best up the passing lane to claim a narrow victory. His previous 2 were over the 2040m at Redcliffe and the mile looks a more suitable distance and with early speed he can challenge again.

SOHO TSUNAMI (5) held them wide early, trying to fight them off in a sub 27 opener before relenting for the trail. Looming up wider in the stretch after angling off the poles, it was only the swooping IT AINT THE MONEY that went past. He will be in the mix again.

MAN OF ACTION (10) was asked to do plenty to get to the front over the mile here last start and with no respite after a 1st panel blitz, his day was done by the 300m. Hanging on gamely, he will get to chase here.

SELECTIONS: NIMAH FRANCO (9), ROLL WITH ROCKY (3), SOHO TSUNAMI (5), MAN OF ACTION (10)
SUGGESTED BET: NIMAH FRANCO (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

COURAGEOUS SAINT (5) landed gate 6 last start when snagging back to the pegs and from there was looking for some short-cuts when down the line behind the gun mare SMART AS CAMM BE. Forced to work hard the start prior when cutting the breeze, this looks within his reach to regain winning form.

ITZ MY GENERATION (1) put together a hat-trick of victories including successive Sat night wins in a qualifier and then a Band 5 at his next appearance. Not much has gone to plan in the 3 starts since that win, the latest when retreating from gate 6. With an improved alley, he can bounce back hard.

ARTHUR LOWE (10) looked to have found his race 2 starts back when landing the ace over the sprint trip. Sent out in red figures, he was unable to see it out. His run last start was full of merit when charging home and he can swoop late here.

OUTLAW FELLA (6) is never far from the action in these conditioned events and despite the wide gate can be in the mix. Grabbed late in Sat night company 2 starts back, he is an exotic player.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS SAINT (5), ITZ MY GENERATION (1), ARTHUR LOWE (10), OUTLAW FELLA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS SAINT (5) to win
