RACE TWO

The 2nd of two heats, this race is the strongest and looks very even across the board. Despite being a trifle disappointing here on Thursday, a return to the front line can see MAJOR LUCKY (2) turn his fortunes around. A winner at 2 of his past 5, he closed hard for a nice 2nd here 5 starts back and franked that run when claiming victory at his next 2 appearances. The gate is a big plus.

STONE CRACKER (3) was wide off the track from a 2nd line gate last start and closed nicely when best of the chasing pack behind the big winner IL MAXIMUS. Tough the start prior when grinding it out in the breeze and only 3m from the winner, he can settle forward here to throw it down.

ARTISTIC SAINT (9) gave nothing a chance here on Thursday when sent straight to the front and taking control had them chasing in vain, running a nice closing 800m to put them away. The gate is a big let-down, but the strength of his last start win cannot be ignored.

LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (1) steps up a few shades here but brings winning form after making the closing shot a winner last time out from the pocket trail. With the cosy trip he is right in the fight. While last start winner ROCKNTINGIRA (7) would only need some luck and MUCHO GUAPA (5) can certainly launch a claim in a wide-open contest.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR LUCKY (2), STONE CRACKER (3), ARTISTIC SAINT (9), LEFTHOOKRIGHTCROSS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MAJOR LUCKY (2) to win

RACE THREE

MONTANA LAD (1) was never in the hunt over the AP middle distance trip 2 starts back when snagging back from a wide gate. Not that far from the smart SOHO TSUNAMI the start prior. Here on Thursday he was game in defeat when sitting outside the leader and making a closing dive to be only a neck away. Off the ace gets every chance to take this.

BUKTHSYSTEM (7) loves being saved for a closing shot and looks set to receive those perfect conditions here. Sent to the pegs from gate 11 last start over the AP 2138m, he stuck to the passing lane to grab the bronze when 3m from the winner. Look for him charging late to issue a challenge.

HIT THE TRACK (8) steps out for the Brett Cargill barn for the 1st time and has a win and a minor in 4 starts on this track. Too strong for them over the 2040m 2 starts back, he can trail through to feature.

SIXPENNY RED (4) has a tricky gate to negotiate yet she has been in super touch of late with wins at 3 of her past 5 starts. Holding them off when leading throughout 2 starts back, she is a place chance.

SELECTIONS: MONTANA LAD (1), BUKTHSYSTEM (7), HIT THE TRACK (8), SIXPENNY RED (4)
SUGGESTED BET: MONTANA LAD (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Graham Dwyer holds the keys to the prize cabinet here, preparing 3 genuine chances. Included in those 3 is the pole marker KINGOFTHESTARS (1) who will be 3rd up in Qld since joining his barn. Working home wide off the track when 1st up at Marburg, it was a tidy initial outing. Backing up from Friday at AP, he can capitalise from the gate.

LA SAFRON (7) will be sweating on the 1 looking to dictate, tucked in behind and ready to make the passing lane play. Working home in good order from a long way back last start behind MAJOR MUCHA, he was not that far away CONVAIR HUSTLER the start prior. Just needs the gap to arrive.

ADRENALINE RUSH (6) completed a hat-trick of victories when scoring 1st up in Qld off the back of a spell when finishing over the top at Marburg. Only 6m from BURMACH at her next start, she can be chiming in here.

GOTTA MOMENT (5) can be a frustrating horse to follow, mixing his form. Not much went his way 2 starts back when only 6m from ARBIT MAJOR. Backing up from Friday at The Creek, he is a big danger in this if at his best.

SELECTIONS: KINGOFTHESTARS (1), LA SAFRON (7), ADRENALINE RUSH (6), GOTTA MOMENT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: KINGOFTHESTARS (1) to win

RACE FIVE

RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (1)
loves an inside snipe and from this alley looks to have found the perfect conditions. Not suited when fired off the arm from gate 5 here 2 starts back, he was down the line last time. With the perfect trip in behind the speed, he can be ready to pull the trigger.

ALL GOOD WALLY (2) lands his best gate for some time and can look to capitalise on the advantage. Wide off the track in moving forward a long way from home last start at Marburg, he was game in fighting hard to be a neck from the winner. He can press on look to see it out.

KETTERING GIRL (7) settled back in the pack from the 2nd line last time out at Marburg when looking to make a closing challenge, grabbing the bronze. With a cosy trip on offer, she has podium claims.

EULO FLYER (4) could not work into the contest last start when MOLLYS SECRET charged home to score. Only 2m away the start prior behind MUCHO GUAPA, he can be in the mix in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: RAFFERTY DELIGHTS (1), ALL GOOD WALLY (2), KETTERING GIRL (7), EULO FLYER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-7

RACE SIX

ARCHILLES (5)
will take added benefit from his outing here on Thursday when 3rd up from a break. Returning when sent to the post as fav and working home wide off the track to be 5m from the winner, he met a stronger line-up 2nd up. Despite the wide gate, with some early tempo, he can be charging home.

CANNAN (2) was on the overnight back-up when sent straight to the front last time out at Marburg and once in control was able to keep them chasing in holding on for victory by a head. Tough in the breeze 3 starts back when within 2m of the winner, he has the gate to be a big player in this contest.

COUNTRY RUN (4) looked to have found his race last time out at Marburg when sent to the front over the sprint trip. Walking them early, he could not fight them off when 2nd to PAGO PAGO. Place claims look on the agenda again here.

CHUMP CHOP (7) was snagged back from gate 4 last start to look for the pegs and some short-cuts home. Only 6m in arrears of the winner PIN CODE, he will be looking for gaps again here.

SELECTIONS: ARCHILLES (5), CANNAN (2), COUNTRY RUN (4), CHUMP CHOP (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

SHEZ GOT BLING (4) backs up from her outing here on Thursday when working home wide off the track to grab the silver. Locked away here 2 starts back from inside the 2nd line, she found some space to grab the bronze which followed a passing lane 2nd. With early speed to settle handy, she might just be able to sneak away with this to open her Qld account.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5) eased from gate 7 over the AP mile 3 starts back before closing out in good order to be 6m from the winner. Following that with a half-head 2nd at Marburg when looking to lead throughout, he closed strongly here on Thursday when only a half-neck away. He can press forward again here to throw down the challenge.

SHEZALUCKYLADY (6) made an immediate impact in Qld when scoring 1st up last time out at Marburg. Starting from the 2nd line, she finished best and with the added fitness from that run can be chiming in late again here.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (7) eased from gate 5 here last start over the 1780m before making a sweeping move around them. Too strong to claim a narrow victory, she will be searching for a way clear.

SELECTIONS: SHEZ GOT BLING (4), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (5), SHEZALUCKYLADY (6), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

It has been a while between victory drinks for ITS YOU NOT ME (2), but he looks to have found the right conditions to capitalise here. Snagged back from gate 4 to the pegs last start, his run here 3 back when 3rd was a tidy effort in front. Looking for the lamp lighting duties, he will be gripping on.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (9) is on the back-up from Thursday where she was not that far from them. Hustled to hold the lead at Marburg 2 starts back, she was unable to kick through and from the pocket trail was never a factor. Tough in the breeze 3 starts back when 2nd, she can challenge.

CHEYENNE AUTUMN (5) kicked through to repel the early challengers here on Wed night and then looked gone some way from home. Fighting back somewhat to finish mid-field, she has rough claims here.

WHATA REACTOR (7) will be needing a slice of luck from this gate as she looks set to be buried in the run. Working home soundly when 7m away at AP 2 starts back, she will be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: ITS YOU NOT ME (2), MAGHERA MAGGIE (9), CHEYENNE AUTUMN (5), WHATA REACTOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

OOZINVILLE (4) loves to fly the gate but needs to be left alone. He might have found the right race here as he looks to have the speed to get across and, in his favour, there looks to be limited pressure applied in transit. If those factors align, he can skip clear to take this.

CHANG (8) was buried away from inside he 2nd line here last time out and never had a crack at them. Left behind when the sprint went on the start prior when WILLSINTOWN went on to score, this looks a more suitable assignment and he can be charging home over the top of them here.

FREMARKSINDI (7) was locked away on the inside at Marburg 2 starts back when chiming in for the bronze. Gunned down but holding on for 3rd here 3 starts back, she can be looking for the short-cuts.

DARTESIAN (3) eased from a wide gate at Marburg last start and then was never a factor when the power went on. Buried away the start prior, if he can settle handy, he looms as a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: OOZINVILLE (4), CHANG (8), FREMARKSINDI (7), DARTESIAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OOZINVILLE (4) to win
