RACE TWO

THE ROCKNROLL KING (10) sat in a rearward position last start over the 2138m before making a strong closing challenge over the concluding stages to arrive for a 2m victory. Unable to eat into the deficit as CAPTAIN NEMO took the win 2 starts back, there looks a good tempo for him to swoop off.

LE TISSIER (4) lines up here with a perfect record since crossing the Tasman. Both wins have been at the 2138m trip and when working home off the speed, the latest a nice effort over subsequent winner GOING FOR GOLD. Back to the mile, they may look to run the gate and he can challenge.

PEPPA BLISS (8) was looking to make it 4 on the bounce last start but after retreating from gate 5 was too far back in the pack when 2m in arrears as a red figure fav. She will need a slice of luck from this alley.

NO DOUBT (3) is never too far from the action and added another minor to the tally last start when hitting the line in smart fashion wide off the track. Hitting the board at 66% this season from 21 starts, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: THE ROCKNROLL KING (10), LE TISSIER (4), PEPPA BLISS (8), NO DOUBT (3)
SUGGESTED BET: THE ROCKNROLL KING (10) to win

RACE THREE

Tackling the older horses here off the back of one run back from a spell, SOHO CASABLANCA (1) holds all the options from this gate. His effort was good when first up in a strong 2YO contest claimed by LEAP TO FAME and from this gate, here’s looking at you, kid.

ALTANA BLUE (5) was put into the contest in the early stages last start from the 2nd line at Marburg and despite the tough trip was giving to the wire when within 2m of the winner. Luckless the start prior when repelled for a forward position and forced to retreat, he finds a race to throw it down.

TEE JAY CEE (10) made the most of gate 1 at Redcliffe last start when taking them all the way for an effortless 3m victory at the 1780m. The gate stings but he can be chiming in here.

BUKTHSYSTEM (4) eased from this gate last start over the 2138m before owning the best closing power to power on by for a 7m victory. A gritty runner-up the start prior, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: SOHO CASABLANCA (1), ALTANA BLUE (5), TEE JAY CEE (10), BUKTHSYSTEM (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SOHO CASABLANCA (1) to win

RACE FOUR

Only the small field here but a tricky map throws up several of possibilities. Second-up last start when scoring a smart win, FOND MEMORIES (4) can look to make it back-to-back victories. Only meeting a field of 6 last time, she powered over the top of VIRGIL following a nice first-up return.

JUST ROKIN (1) led out early over the 2138m before opting for the trail here 2 starts back and with the nice trip behind the speed had the passing lane power to claim the prize. Fading last start after working early looking for position, the options on offer here give her the chance to challenge.

THE SHADY ONE (2) has now been to the track 3 times since returning from a spell and has not been too far from the action on each occasion. Hitting the line in nice order last start, he has claims.

GOLIGHTLY (3) will take benefit from his latest outing when resuming from a spell. Tackling a qualifier, he eased from gate 4 to find position and ran home soundly. Fitter he can feature.

SELECTIONS: FOND MEMORIES (4), JUST ROKIN (1), THE SHADY ONE (2), GOLIGHTLY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: FOND MEMORIES (4) to win

RACE FIVE

TRUE STEPPER (10) has had a lean season where she has been unable to cash in for a win, but she may just have found the right conditions to amend that here. Doing some early work to secure position last start, she was trying to hold on as DELIGHTFUL REASON prevailed. In an open contest she can sneak home.

MAJOR MISCHIEF (7) was a Redcliffe winner 3 starts back when sent to the breeze and grafting out a tough win at the 1780m. Charging home from deep in the pack the start prior here at the mile when retreating from gate 6, he should appreciate this level of opponent to throw down the challenge.

IMA BIRIBI BOY (9) has not been too far away in recent starts with a top-3 at 3 of his past 5 starts. Runner-up when pinned on the poles at Marburg last start, he can chime in here.

SHEREACTS (6) has no favours from this alley but might just find this a shade easier than recent outings. Just 9m from REMEMBER ME NOW last start, podium claims appeal here.

SELECTIONS: TRUE STEPPER (10), MAJOR MISCHIEF (7), IMA BIRIBI BOY (9), SHEREACTS (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

MELTON LUCKY (2)
started from inside the 2nd line at Marburg last start and never saw he gap to make a serious play when 2m in arrears of the winner ALWAYS AT NIGHT. With just the 6 starts here on the big oval, he has a win and 2 minors and has the gate to take full advantage.

KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (1) has just passed 12 months since her last victory and is yet to strike a win here at The Creek. Beaten when well-supported gets at each of her past 5 starts from tough gates, the improved alley is a big gain here. 2m from DATSINAHURRI 2 starts back, she can challenge.

ARMA VEYRON (8) was trying to take them all the way last start over the 2138m when running even panels but could not see it out. A passing lane winner at the mile the start prior after releasing, she will be probing.

ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4) was sent forward from outside the front line to sit parked at Marburg last time out and grafting it out proved too tough in claiming the prize. He may need to work again here.

SELECTIONS: MELTON LUCKY (2), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (1), ARMA VEYRON (8), ALWAYS AT NIGHT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-4-8

RACE SEVEN

IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (6)
looks to get into this race on a nice class drop after meeting tougher opponents in recent outings. Trying to take them all the way last start, he faded late at the 2138m when 6m from the swooping THE ROCKNROLL KING. Down the line behind CAPTAIN NEMO the start prior, he gets every chance.

SNUGGLES BANYULA (3) tackles a mare’s qualifier last start when easing from gate 6 to secure position but could not get warm as COBBITY CASTLE claimed the prize. A winner when swooping over the top 5 runs back, there is a minor query at the trip, but against this opposition can challenge.

ONE LAST ROLL (5) was asked to graft it out when parked over the mile 2 starts back and was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze and 3m from the winner. He may need to roll the sleeves again here.

HANDSOME HARRY (1) burrowed through against the markers to hold the lead last start at Marburg, but the early speed and pressure took its toll. Buried away 2 starts back, a cosy trip should suit here.

SELECTIONS: IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (6), SNUGGLES BANYULA (3), ONE LAST ROLL (5), HANDSOME HARRY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

TRENTLEIGH (2)
has found some nice form and lines up here looking to make it 3 wins in his past 4 attempts. Taking them all the way here 3 starts back, the wide gate saw him retreat at his next outing. Capitalising last start to lead throughout, he has the gate to rinse and repeat.

DUKE (3) was obliged to do it the tough way last start when sitting parked at Marburg and fighting hard to be 3m in arrears of the winner. He might just have enough early hustle to sneak into the trail here and with placings in 3 of his past 4 starts can look to add another here.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (9) will be further tightened and has now placed at her past 2 in succession after 3 runs back from a spell. Hanging tough in the breeze last start at Marburg, she can chime in.

LITTLEDEE (5) finished over the top to claim a Redcliffe victory 3 starts back and followed that when midfield here at the mile. Able to do some work of required, she is a podium chance.

SELECTIONS: TRENTLEIGH (2), DUKE (3), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (9), LITTLEDEE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: TRENTLEIGH (2) to win

RACE NINE

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (9)
had the perfect cart into the contest here on Tuesday but could not quite reel in the winner JANSSON, finishing 2m in arrears. Runner-up to TAM OSHANTER the start prior, she is in consistent form and finds conditions to look for another victory.

CARNERA (11) is a newcomer to Qld joining the Dixon stable as a 13-time winner and although having been out of the winner’s circle since April, finds the right type of contest first-up. A beaten fav last time under mobile conditions, he was 3rd from the tapes at Maryborough 4 starts back and stays under watch.

IMA CALVERT ROSE (8) started from inside the 2nd line from the mobile here 2 starts back and was trying hard when claiming the bronze. Buried last start from the 60m, she can make a play here.

MISTER CHISOLM (3) is generally safe from the tapes and from the 30m can look to get in a forward position in the early stages. Doing some early work last start from the mobile, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (9), CARNERA (11), IMA CALVERT ROSE (8), MISTER CHISOLM (3)
SUGGESTED BET: BOURBONONTHEROCKS (9) to win

RACE TEN

Finishing in the top-two in all three starts since returning from a spell, TAM OSHANTER (2) looks well placed to continue that run from the front tape. A winner from the mobile when sent to the front 2 starts back, he released to IM THE COMMANDO last start when holding on for 2nd and can go one better this time.

JANSSON (6) was safely into stride from the big 50m handicap here on Tuesday and pressing forward found the ideal trail in the running line before presenting to cruise on by in claiming a tidy victory. The front tape is a big plus with his manners, and he can throw down the challenge.

IM THE COMMANDO (9) pressed forward in the early stages from the 10m impost last start and wrestling the lead away was then untroubled in scoring. At his best on the front end, he can be firing early bullets here.

PRINCESS FAITH (5) started from the 10m tape here 2 starts back when making a closing play in finishing 2nd to KINGDOM COME. Striking trouble last start, she can atone in this.

SELECTIONS: TAM OSHANTER (2), JANSSON (6), IM THE COMMANDO (9), PRINCESS FAITH (5)
SUGGESTED BET:
