RACE TWO

ROCK FISHERMAN (11) has put it all together and really starting to thrive and was again strong last start in a sizzling mile claimed by DEUS EX. Settling back in the pack from the 2nd line in that battle, he was strong to the line when the only runner to emerge from the pack as the leader and winner burst clear. The gate stings but he looks up to the task.

WAHS FIRE BUG (6) has been in super form since arriving in Qld, finishing in the top-2 in all 8 starts this campaign. Runner-up last week when best of the chasers behind the star on the rise DEUS EX, it followed 3 successive wins. Despite the tough gate she can look to throw it down again here.

SCARLET BABE (7) resumes from a spell after showing some devastating form leading into the Winter Carnival. Failing in the G1 Golden Girl after doing a power of early work, she blew the cobwebs out with a smart trial and cannot be overlooked.

BLUE MOON RISING (4) was a winner over this trip 3 starts back when easing early before owning the best closing speed to arrive. With similar tactics, look for him charging home.

SELECTIONS: ROCK FISHERMAN (11), WAHS FIRE BUG (6), SCARLET BABE (7), BLUE MOON RISING (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK FISHERMAN (11) to win

RACE THREE

He seems to have had his share of chances to breakthrough for a qualifying win, and again KING TRITON (1) will get another chance. Beaten by the wide gate over the middle-distance last start, he could not repel the closing raid the start prior when leading them up and falling 2m shy of the prize. A head away 4 starts back, he has all the options to capitalise.

DOUBLE OR NOTHING (8) is another that seems to have had untold number of opportunities to land a win in this grade but just keeps finding a way to come up short. Releasing to DEUS EX last start, he clung on to finish midfield which followed a silver to BITCOIN. With the perfect trail, can he get the snipers shot to hit the target?

GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (9) started from gate 10 last start and was trying to make a closing play when chasing home behind FLO RYDA. Grabbed in front the start prior when 3rd, he is in the mix in this line-up.

LIFES BLACK (5) has been hitting some good areas on The Triangle in recent weeks and heads to town with 2 wins and 3 minors in his past 5 outings. Attacking the line with gusto last start from deep in the pack, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: KING TRITON (1), DOUBLE OR NOTHING (8), GLENEAGLE WARRIOR (9), LIFES BLACK (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-5-8-9

RACE FOUR

The title of Queensland’s leading FFA performer seems a vacant title and this race shapes as an open battle. Mapping this race as the 1 leading then FAME ASSURED (8) will get the ideal run in behind the speed and after 2 runs back from a spell should be close to a fitness peak. The closing panel set in front last week made it impossible, but she was still sharp in 54.97/26.71. She can snipe.

BLACKSADANCE (5) made the most of gate 1 here last time out and put on a power running display and had the fight to grip on when scoring here last time out. Kept fresh since that outing back on August 14, he faces a task from a tricky gate here but can look to take another step up the ladder.

REPLACED EYE (1) has now had 2 runs since joining the Trent Dawson stable and comes up with his best gate since arriving. Closing in nice order first up when 3rd to TURN IT UP, he as not suited when working over the 2138m last time. With good early speed, he can take his shot.

SPEECH IS SILVER (4) looked to have the perfect opportunity to power over the top of them here last week and taking the closing shot came up an eyelash short as KANENA PROVLIMA prevailed. Fitter again after 2 runs back from a long break, look for him attacking late.

SELECTIONS: FAME ASSURED (8), BLACKSADANCE (5), REPLACED EYE (1), SPEECH IS SILVER (4)
SUGGESTED BET: FAME ASSURED (8) win/place

RACE FIVE

Looking to take them all the way over the middle trip last week, NOTORIOUS (3) was in front every stride until the wire when grabbed by FLO RYDA. Attacking the line strongly from gate 7 the start prior, he can settle close to the speed and look to go one better here.

ITS MR CLOONEY (2) was sent around the field from the 2nd line last start to sit parked and was game in defeat when grafting out a gritty 3m margin in arrears of THE ROCKNROLL KING. Buried the start prior as UNCLE SHANK took the prize, the gate gives him the chance to capitalise.

BALDUCCI (8) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way as a red figure last start when sitting outside the leader but was unable to cope over the closing stages when fading out. He will be probing for openings here.

THE IDEAL DANCER (9) has not been too far away in recent attempts, the latest when eased from gate 7 before charging home in the closing stages when just 3m away. Trailing through to find position, he can make a play.

SELECTIONS: NOTORIOUS (3), ITS MR CLOONEY (2), BALDUCCI (8), THE IDEAL DANCER (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

This week’s additional stakes event is for the mares and the barrier draw has opened the race. Stepping out in Qld for the first time OUR ANTONIO ROSE (10) joins the Dwyer stable that boasts a superb first-up record. Clashing at her past 3 behind the smart WATTLEBANK LASS at Bathurst, she returned a slick trial on this track in readiness.

TOTAL DIVA (6) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was soon buried in the run and not entirely comfortable when finishing midfield. Runner-up to WAHS FIRE BUG at her previous 2 starts, the gate is a stinger but in this grade she can look to challenge.

VOUCHERS (9) should appreciate a return to her own sex after clashing with all-comers in recent outings. Within 5m of the winner EL AGUILA last start, she can look for an early trail to feature.

MOLLIESMARYELLE (2) started from this alley last week when not able to cross the 1 and left exposed for a period then received cover before making the closing play for the silver. Finding the pegs with options thereafter will be a big plus.

SELECTIONS: OUR ANTONIO ROSE (10), TOTAL DIVA (6), VOUCHERS (9), MOLLIESMARYELLE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR ANTONIO ROSE (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

The ballot division of the mares race looks a competitive contest where BARIKA (4) can look to show her early hustle to get across to the poles. Nabbed in the last strides here on Tuesday by NINA SIMONE who took the sit on her, it followed a half-neck defeat by subsequent winner GOING FOR GOLD.

SHE OWNS THE DAY (9) was looking to make it 3 from 3 since her arrival in the Sunshine State last time out in a run that was full of merit here on Tuesday when making a strong challenge from back in the pack to get within a half-head of success. With the right trail she can challenge.

ROCKINDOWNUNDER (3) started from the inside alley last start and after hustling to protect the trail, took the sit but could not finish it off. Settling handy she can make a play here.

MAGGIE (5) lands a sticky alley here and may be required to roll the sleeves to get forward. Rolling forward early here on Tuesday, it was a game effort chasing GOING FOR GOLD to grab the silver and she can feature again.

SELECTIONS: BARIKA (4), SHE OWNS THE DAY (9), ROCKINDOWNUNDER (3), MAGGIE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: BARIKA (4) to win

RACE NINE

Moving back up to Saturday night company after 4 runs back from a spell, IMASPORTSSTAR (1) lands an improved gate after a string of tricky barriers to overcome. Although last over he 2138m 2 starts back, he was sectionally strong over his less preferred middle-trip when still only 6m away. He comes up with the gate, distance, and options to capitalise.

KENSINGTON BILL (4) will take some benefit from his latest appearance when stepping out after six weeks between runs. Finding the 1x1 trail on that occasion, he was chasing as MISTERFREEZE took the prize. Settling handy, he can look to make the closing play a winner.

NURBURGRING (5) was sent around them from the 2nd line over the 2138m last start and after doing some work faded late. The start prior was in WILL THE WIZARD’s 51.7 mile and he is better suited.

DREAM TO SHARE (6) lines up shooting for the hat-trick of wins after both his previous victories came in the claiming grade. Grafting out a gritty win when parked last start from gate 5, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: IMASPORTSSTAR (1), KENSINGTON BILL (4), NURBURGRING (5), DREAM TO SHARE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: IMASPORTSSTAR (1) to win

RACE TEN

A small field of 7 to tackle the mobile mile, a distance that the likely more fancied runners all have limited exposure to. A winner over the mobile 2138m 2 starts back, RED CASTLETON (4) started from this same gate when finding the front, releasing, and then zipping up the lane to score. At these conditions he can strike.

SIR FAHRENHEIT (5) has found his way back in top form and lines up here in search of three on the bounce. Finishing over the top of them last start over the 13 furlongs, it followed a track record breaking win over the same trip. A three-time winner from the mobile, he can throw it down.

NORTHERN MUSCLE (6) has faced the starter over 100 times yet has only 2 starts here at The Creek over this trip. A winner in one of those and on the back-up from a smart win off 30m here last week, he can feature.

JUSTABITNOISY (1) was wide off the track last start when trying to make his run from the 30m tape. Hitting the line in nice order when 5m away, he can enjoy the economical trip here to chime in.

SELECTIONS: RED CASTLETON (4), SIR FAHRENHEIT (5), NORTHERN MUSCLE (6), JUSTABITNOISY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: RED CASTLETON (4) to win
