RACE TWO

SUGARINSPICE (9)
extended her record to 4 wins in 6 outings here at The Creek last start when completing a hat0trick of victories. Content to do it the tough way when parked over this trip, she grafted out a narrow victory. Back to the 30m is a big question, but she looks to have the answer.

AVEROSS DON (1) could not go on with it and faded last time out over the mobile 2138m trip. Just a half-head away the start prior when setting the speed after stepping cleanly to take control, he looks well suited off the front tape and his manners to throw down the challenge in this.

JANSSON (7) overcame a big 50m impost here 3 starts back to find the 1x1 trail and finish over the top of them. There have been excuses his past 2 and back to 20m can feature.

THE NIGHT KING (3) was huge in defeat here last week when making an error in the run but chasing gamely and still grabbing the bronze when within 4m of the winner. He is not far off a win.

SELECTIONS: SUGARINSPICE (9), AVEROSS DON (1), JANSSON (7), THE NIGHT KING (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

HURRICANE DREAM (2)
was sent to the post in red figures last start at Redcliffe from gate 4. Pressing forward, she was able to bully her way to the front and once in control kept them chasing for an easy 8m victory. This is another step up, but the added experience will be a big plus.

WHATABOYJACK (6) held the 1x1 trail here last week before making his run at the 800m moving up three-wide. With a 3rd panel split in 28.5, he could not go on with it, to be 12m in arrears of the winner. The wide gate stings but this looks a shade easier than his latest assignment.

AUNTY EMILY (3) has placed in her past 3 in succession, the latest when taking the trail and chasing for the bronze behind SUPERBON. Trying to take them all the way at Redcliffe 2 starts back, she is right in the mix.

DIGBY DEE (5) will strip fitter from her latest outing when resuming from over 12 months off the scene. Her runs last season were all against handy performers and she remains under watch.

SELECTIONS: HURRICANE DREAM (2), WHATABOYJACK (6), AUNTY EMILY (3), DIGBY DEE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: HURRICANE DREAM (2) to win

RACE FOUR

LE TISSIER (2)
is now 3 from 4 since joining the Narissa McMullen stable after powering home to another smart victory here last week. Eased from gate 6, he had too much to offer in pulling clear to claim a 6m victory. All 3 of his wins have been at this trip and he lands the marble to go back-to-back.

BITCOIN (6) rolled forward to sit parked last start after being sent to the post as a red figure fav. Grinding it out, he was able to hold on for the silver behind the passing lane winner THE DEMOCRAT when just 1m away. The gate stings but he can look to throw down the challenge.

OBI ONE (8) joins the Jack Butler barn and arrives in Qld after 2 runs back from a spell. From gate 6 last start at Bathurst, he was making some nice metres in the closing stages and with the 2nd line options can feature.

KENSINGTON BILL (7) has no favours from the wide gate, yet he has been meeting much higher graded opponents of late. Asked to hang tough when parked last start where VIRGIL landed the prize, he can bob up in this.

SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (2), BITCOIN (6), OBI ONE (8), KENSINGTON BILL (7)
SUGGESTED BET: LE TISSIER (2) to win

RACE FIVE

AYE AYE CAPTAIN (4) started from the 2nd line last start and for back in the pack was trying to make a late play when just 2m from the winner in a blanket finish. 3rd to the talented 2YO TEDDY DISCO the start prior, if he can settle handy from this alley, he looks to get his chance.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (8) started from gate 7 last start where he was having his 4th run back from a spell. Taken off the gate to settle at the rear, he was still at the back at the 300m before unleashing a powerful closing rally to be just 2m shy of the winner. If the gaps open in time, he can challenge.

ONE LAST ROLL (5) fired off the arm to find the front here on Saturday night, but the lead came at some expense, and he was then shuffled back after releasing and then the new leader handed up to bury him. Going to the line with plenty to offer but nowhere to go, he should appreciate this grade.

FIREHOUSE (6) rolled forward to sit parked last time from gate 5 and after working hard in the run, faded in the closing stages as REMEMBER ME NOW took them all the way. He may need to roll the sleeves once again.

SELECTIONS: AYE AYE CAPTAIN (4), DOCTA FEELGOOD (8), ONE LAST ROLL (5), FIREHOUSE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: AYE AYE CAPTAIN (4) to win

RACE SIX

OUR FRIEND (1)
has been to the track 3 times this campaign since resuming from a spell and drawn wide on each occasion. Eased from gate 6 to the poles and looking for short-cuts last start, he was wide off the track the start prior. With the big gate improvement, he gets the chance to capitalise.

COPPICE (8) was shuffled to 3 back against the poles from inside the 2nd line here last start and just missed landing in the money as SCOTTS RAIN claimed the prize. A passing lane winner at Redcliffe the start prior, he should secure the ideal trip here and be ready to make a passing lane play.

ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (6) was sent forward to sit outside the leader last start and despite the tough trip was still fighting when 3m in arrears of the winner GOING FOR GOLD. Despite the gate he is right in the fight.

KASE (4) is a 3YO colt making his Qld debut for Daren Garrard, arriving with 1 win from 10 starts out of the South Island of NZ. With 3 trials in readiness for his first mission, he stays under watch.

SELECTIONS: OUR FRIEND (1), COPPICE (8), ITZ CHEROKEE JACK (6), KASE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-4-6-8

RACE SEVEN

SO MUCH MORE (6)
is only lightly raced with just 4 starts next to his name. A winner in 2 of those attempts, he swept home to victory from the 2nd line at his last start after pushing through to find the 1x1 trail. Given a freshen, he was sharpened with a tidy trial and with some pressure can descend on them here.

BARIKA (4) was a dictating winner here 6 starts back and has placed in every start since that win, being run down on each occasion. Finding the front from this alley last start, she could not repel SHEZ GOT BLING and the start prior the 2138m was just a shade too far. With her speed, she will look the winner at some stage.

SHEZ GOT BLING (2) is in search of the hat-trick after wins at the 2138m and then the mile last start. At her best when saved for one shot, she can be close enough to be attacking here.

MAGGIE (3) eased away from the poles last start and settling back in the pack was charging home out wide to be just an eyelash short of victory. Settling handy she will be in the mix once again.

SELECTIONS: SO MUCH MORE (6), BARIKA (4), SHEZ GOT BLING (2), MAGGIE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

NIFTY JOLT (9)
was sent to the breeze last start from gate 2 and sitting parked was grafting it out but unable to finish it off. Runner-up to the gun 2YO TEDDY DISCO the start prior, e can be looking to press through in the early stages and if close enough can look to make the closing play.

BETTING ORIGIN (3) was asked to hang tough and work in the run last start when sent forward from gate 6 to sit parked and was in for the fight when holding on for the silver behind PARTY POLOTIX. Shooting for the hat-trick in that event he can get forward here and look to dictate.

ILLBEWATCHING (8) fired off the arm to take control from gate 4 last start and from the front kept them chasing to hold on for victory by a head. He will need a slice of luck here to be chiming in.

O B LEGAL (1) resumes from a spell with no public trial but comes up with the right gate for a cosy trip first up. Last seen in the Redcliffe Sales Final when midfield behind TEDDY DISCO, he can find the podium.

SELECTIONS: NIFTY JOLT (9), BETTING ORIGIN (3), ILLBEWATCHING (8), O B LEGAL (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1)
found the pocket trail from gate 2 last start and lost all his momentum when the white flag was hoisted by the leader. Breaking free to chime in for the bronze, he was midfield the start prior and with the opportunity to light the lamps, he looks to get his chance.

TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (3) has been runner-up in 2 of her past 3 starts, the latest when getting out of the pack and trying to reel in LE TISSIER who made a strong challenge down the back stretch to take over. Settling close to the action, she can make the closing challenge.

LANCELOT BROMAC (2) can tuck in just behind the action from this gate and should be close enough to pick off some late metres to finish in the money. Back to the mile is in his favour.

THERESACHANCE (6) tried to make the most of gate 1 last start and rolling them in front could not fight off the closing challenge up the passing lane of THE DEMOCRAT. He can fire some early bullets, and this is a step below his last outing.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), TORQUE ONETWOTHREE (3), LANCELOT BROMAC (2), THERESACHANCE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) to win

RACE TEN

WATCH PULP FICTION (7)
has no favours from this alley, but he has been starting from tough gates of late. Striking trouble last start, he was keen the start prior and working hard when fading. That followed 4 successive placed runs, and this looks his chance to bounce back to winning form.

VINNY CHASE (10) was sent around them early from the 2nd line here on Saturday night to sit parked outside KEY LARGO and was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze. Buried away the start prior, he can get the cart into this to throw down the closing challenge.

THE SHADY ONE (3) found the 1x1 trail last start and was trying to make a closing play when holding down 4th behind KEY LARGO. Finishing in the same position 2 starts back from the pocket trail, he can be thereabouts again.

AT WEST POINT (2) was firing some early bullets last start but was unable to get to the pegs as KIWIS ARE FLYING blitzed them. Handing over the start prior at the 2138m, he can look to get across and give them the target.

SELECTIONS: WATCH PULP FICTION (7), VINNY CHASE (10), THE SHADY ONE (3), AT WEST POINT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WATCH PULP FICTION (7) to win
