RACE TWO

There is plenty of form in this race with 6 of the 10 runners scoring a win in the past 2 starts. Despite landing wide off the front, GOING FOR GOLD (7) is going for a hat-trick and with the right tempo can look to arrive. The beneficiary of the perfect steer to find the trail last start, the only question is the 2138m trip, a query he gets the chance to answer.

DESPONDENT (1) made the most of gate 1 to lead them all the way in a qualifier 2 starts back over this trip. After a steady opening half, he was able to see it out with a pair of subsequent winners in the vanquished brigade. Beaten by gate 7 yet charging late for 3rd last time, he has all the options.

NO DOUBT (9) was not suited when wide off the track in the latter stages at Redcliffe last time but was still just 4m from the winner THE GENERAL. Trailing through he can be chiming in.

PEPPA BLISS (4) eased from gate 7 last time to settle rearward and was unable to work into it over the closing stages behind LE TISSIER. Making an error 2 starts back, she can turn it around here.

SELECTIONS: GOING FOR GOLD (7), DESPONDENT (1), NO DOUBT (9), PEPPA BLISS (4)
SUGGESTED BET: GOING FOR GOLD (7) to win

RACE THREE

CAPTAIN NEMO (4)
started from the 2nd line last start and from deep in the pack was trying to make a closing play as COLONEL JOY led throughout. Asked to work hard the start prior when sitting parked and holding 3rd to the airborne KIWIS ARE FLYING, he can capitalise from this alley.

ITALIAN LAD (7) is given no favours from this alley 2nd up but should take good benefit from his return to the track last time out. Eased from a wide alley on that occasion, the tempo made it mission impossible. Only nabbed late at his last run before the break, he can throw it down.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (10) might just appreciate this grade after being run down in Saturday night company at his past 2 appearances. Finishing 8m adrift of MAJOR FERNCO last start, he can chime in.

EH EF EL (2) tackled claiming company last start when finding the trail and then landing the closing shot to arrive for the prize up the passing lane. Settling handy can see him feature again here.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN NEMO (4), ITALIAN LAD (7), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (10), EH EF EL (2)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN NEMO (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Tackling the older and experienced horses for the first time last start, the star 2YO TEDDY DISCO (4) had little bother in disposing of his opponents in an effortless 8m victory. He steps up again here but with his speed out of the machine, he should be able to take control and keep them chasing.

A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (2) started as the fav last time out when returning from a freshen and from the ace, took the trail over the mile. Trying to make a race of it, she was best of the chasers behind the 6m winner REMEMBER ME NOW that led throughout. Tucking in close, she can chase hard.

LETTUCEROLL (9) was a winner here 2 runs back when swooping over the top of them in the closing stages after initially retreating from gate 7. Just a half-neck away last start, he can feature again.

COULDNTMISAFALCON (8) secured the ideal trip in behind the leader from this same gate last time before making the closing challenge a winning one. She looks set to be shuffled deeper on the pegs this time.

SELECTIONS: TEDDY DISCO (4), A WHOLE LOTTA ROSIE (2), LETTUCEROLL (9), COULDNTMISAFALCON (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 4 / 2-8-9

RACE FIVE

VIEWBYTHEROCK (9) should be close to a fitness peak after 5 runs back from a spell and although facing the 2nd line gate, can look to cash-in. From inside the 2nd line last start, he was soon shuffled back in the run before attacking the line in nice order to be just a half-head from the winner.

SENSE OF OCCASION (7) was sent to the post as the fav last start from gate 6 over the mile where he was restrained out of the machine to sit at the rear. Trying to launch a closing raid, he had to settle for a midfield finish.  Well-supported but yet to fire his past 3 starts, the gate does him no favours.

ALTANA BLUE (3) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start when parked, fading in the closing stages. His chances will improve if able to get across to lead them up.

ARCHILLES (2) was angled to the poles from the 2nd line last start and hit traffic when finding a late gap to be just 5m away. Settling handy, this is the right type of race for him to bob up.

SELECTIONS: VIEWBYTHEROCK (9), SENSE OF OCCASION (7), ALTANA BLUE (3), ARCHILLES (2)
SUGGESTED BET: VIEWBYTHEROCK (9) to win

RACE SIX

SKIPPYS DELIGHT (9)
is winless in over 12 months and yet to get on the board since crossing the Tasman, however he looks to have found the ideal conditions to change that anomaly. Pressing on to the front from gate 6 here 2 starts back when grabbed late, he has 12 placings this season and looks to have found the race to add a win to that list.

ROCKNHOLME (5) showed some ability in his first campaign and resumes here after close to 12 months off the scene. With a win and a pair of minors in his 6 race starts which all came at Redcliffe, he resumes here with a pair of tidy trials. Limiting the early burn will help his challenging chances.

PRESS STATEMENT (2) was asked to do some early work last start until cover arrived before finishing 2m in arrears of the winner. Placed in 7 of 14 here at The Creek, he can fill the minors again.

ROCKINDOWNUNDER (7) was a winner of a mares only contest 3 starts back when using the passing lane to grab the prize. Making an error in a mares qualifier last start, she can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: SKIPPYS DELIGHT (9), ROCKNHOLME (5), PRESS STATEMENT (2), ROCKINDOWNUNDER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: SKIPPYS DELIGHT (9) to win

RACE EIGHT

SPEED OF SOUND (10)
started from inside the 2nd line last start when eased off the poles early before making a strong run wide off the track to get within a head of the winner. Runner-up in both starts since arriving in Qld, she strikes the right race to look for the account opener.

WOODLANDS WONDER (6) has the tricky gate to negotiate but might just find this within reach. Luckless from the 2nd line at Redcliffe last start when hitting some traffic, he was just 6m adrift of the winner in a qualifier 2 starts back. With even luck he can throw it down.

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (5) was a Marburg winner 3 starts back when leading them all the way from the ace. Unable to pick up ground from back in the pack at his past 2 starts, he can be thereabouts against this line up.

KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (2) has proven a costly conveyance to punters, having been the medium of strong support in 5 of her past 6 yet been unable to cash-in. From the gate she can earn some redemption.

SELECTIONS: SPEED OF SOUND (10), WOODLANDS WONDER (6), BEEF CITY STARZZZ (5), KOOKABURRAPRINCESS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SPEED OF SOUND (10) to win

RACE NINE

MAJESTIC HARRY (1)
opened the Qld chapter of his story with a bang when big in victory here last week. Wide for the first 600m, then giving the leader the stink eye before pulling clear at the 400m and cruising home for a crushing 15m victory. Off that effort, he is the one to beat here.

IM THE COMMANDO (7) started from the big 60m impost last start and was charging home in the closing stages to be under 4m from the winner. Pressing on from this handicap 3 starts back to find the front and keep them chasing, he is at his best near the engine and can challenge here.

MATATOKI (12) had been on a win drought, but the rains arrived here on Tuesday with victory when the beneficiary of the initiative, sent to the front from the 30m tape after the main players made errors. He can chime in again.

ROSEHILL MAGIC (3) took on the pacers under mobile conditions last start at Marburg and burrowing through to find the front took them all the way. A safe beginner, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC HARRY (1), IM THE COMMANDO (7), MATATOKI (12), ROSEHILL MAGIC (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

CARNERA (12)
started from the 2nd line here last start and was chasing in vain as MAJESTIC HARRY put the field to the sword for a big victory. Best of the chasing pack when 14m in arrears, it followed a 2m 3rd also from the mobile. 20m is a winnable impost in this field and he lands the chance to open his Qld account.

BOURBONONTHEROCKS (10) took on mobile conditions last start and from gate 11 was in front after 300m after pressing through to lead them up. Her bell was rung at the 400m but she dug in for the fight in a strung out finish. Back to the tapes looks ideal and she will throw it down.

MAJESTIC SPEED (9) has been kept fresh since her last appearance when down the line from the 40m tape after settling back in the pack. Game in defeat the start prior, she can be thereabouts.

THE NIGHT KING (7) is moving closer to another victory after placings in 4 of his past 5 starts. Big in defeat after making an error 2 starts back, he did it the tough way last start and can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CARNERA (12), BOURBONONTHEROCKS (10), MAJESTIC SPEED (9), THE NIGHT KING (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
