Racing Queensland, following consultation with the management of the Sunshine Coast Turf Club, advises that if the forecast poor weather arrives over the next 18 hours, it may be necessary to transfer the club’s scheduled trials on Tuesday, October 19 from the course proper to the Polytrack.
Should that outcome eventuate, and given the configuration of the all-weather track, 850m heats will not be possible, and as a consequence, these will need to be amended to the distance of 1000m.
Should trainers consider such a change unsuitable, then fee-free scratchings will be applicable for those who chose to exercise the option of withdrawing their horses.
RQ and SCTC officials will notify participants as soon as is practicable if the decision is ultimately made to transfer the meeting to the all-weather surface.
