He can get across early and has options thereafter.

TIZ A SIZZLER (4) will be fresh up here after his last start victory when grafting out a tough win from the second line. Sent forward in the middle stages to sit parked, he was too classy in pulling clear to taken an 8m margin. Blowing out the cobwebs with a sharp piece of work at the trials, he can throw it down.

LE TISSIER (9) will be second up after returning from a spell here on Tuesday. Easing across from gate 4 to find the running line, he was making some nice metres down the stretch to grab the bronze behind LYRICAL GENIUS. The 2138m is right in his strike zone and he can press through to challenge.

JENDEN STRIKE (4) worked forward from gate 3 at the 2138m in this same grade last week. Controlling the tempo, she was able to fend off the chasers in taking a 2m margin. Runner-up to her stablemate AUNTY BELLA the start prior, she looks set to roll the sleeves to issue her challenge.

RACE SIX

With this field made up of those horses balloted from selection out of Race 2, PARAMA (3) could be a little stiff to have missed a run in that top division. He will line up here with a pair of wins either side of a 3rd placing. A big 15m winner three back at 2138m, he fought them off in front last start and can go again.

OBI ONE (5) faces a sticky gate from the centre of the line. Making some nice metres over the closing stages behind JENDEN STRIKE last start, positioning cheaply will be key to his chances.

RACE SEVEN

Another without a win this season, the drought for BLACKJACK BART (9) is approaching 18 months, however his recent efforts have had merit, the latest when easing early to find a spot and then never sighting the gaps when needed. He might be able to pinch a race where the 2138m will ask questions a few of these may not have the answer to.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (2) loves to run the gate and comes up with the gate to get across to his preferred lamp lighting position. Searching for gaps after starting from inside the second line last time out, he was collared in the closing strides after leading here two back. Can he see it out?

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (8) ran some nice closing panels last start after being snagged back from gate 6 to find position. A passing lane winner four runs back, he will be probing for the openings.

A beaten fav from this same gate last time out, VINDICATE (5) finds the conditions to gain redemption. Firing out, releasing, then scooting the passing lane to score two runs back, she tackles her own sex for the first time here. With the speed to find position, she looks hard to stop.

ONLY ONCE BITTEN (3) returns to the main draw after copping the unruly embargo after making a starting error here three runs back. Strong to the line at her next attempt when 5m from the winner, she was then game here last week when pressing on to sit parked and holding 2nd. She can throw it down.

DEBUTANTE PARTY (10) has now had three runs in Qld that have all been in this grade. Landing her best return last start with the bronze along the passing lane, she can be chiming in late.
CALA JANE (7) was sent to the post as fav last start from gate 1 off the back of a string of wide gates. Finishing 4m from the winner in holding 3rd, she faces the wide gate again here which dents her chances.

SELECTIONS: VINDICATE (5), ONLY ONCE BITTEN (3), DEBUTANTE PARTY (10), CALA JANE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: VINDICATE (5) to win

RACE NINE

Unable to crack it for a win since resuming from a spell, it has been a mixed bag for WILL THE WIZARD (1). Snagged back from gate 6 here last week, he was out the back and chasing and his closing panels were super to get within 4m of the winner. He finally lands a marble and scores all the options to capitalise.

TURN IT UP (6) will strip fitter from his last start where he returned from a spell after a light time following the Winter Carnival. Locked away from inside the second line when resuming, he was trying to reel them in in grabbing the bronze behind CRUZ BROMAC. A gazelle off the arm, he can pull the trigger early and make the left hand turn to take control.

CRUZ BROMAC (4) bounced back to winning form last time out when spearing out to lead from gate 3 and take them all the way. Grabbing 3rd, albeit 26m from the track record breaking BLACKSADANCE two starts back, he is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: WILL THE WIZARD (1), TURN IT UP (6), CRUZ BROMAC (4)
SUGGESTED BET: WILL THE WIZARD (1) to win

RACE ELEVEN

After four starts in Qld since arriving with Tim Butt, COCHY MALC (2) will line up behind the start car for the first time after his four runs have been from the tapes. Securing a cosy trip two starts back, he made the closing shot a winning one. A two-time winner from the mobile in NZ, he can settle handy enough to cash-in.

RED CASTLETON (6) bounced back to winning form here last week over the 2647m trip. Starting from the 20m tape, he settled against the poles before extricating and sprinting over the top to score. Only 4m away here three back under the same trip and conditions, he looms large once again.

HUMBLE LADD (8) will take good benefit from his latest start when first up back in Qld after transferring to the Jack Butler barn. Just 3m from the winner GEE UP NEDDY, he has the second line options and is yet to miss the money in five starts on this deck.

KAR MANOR (7) has placed in his past three starts as he lines up for his fourth run in 11 days. Under 2m from the winner on Tuesday when looming up, it was only RED CASTLETON that got the better of him last Saturday. He is right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: COCHY MALC (2), RED CASTLETON (6), HUMBLE LADD (8), KAR MANOR (7)
SUGGESTED BET: COCHY MALC (2) to win
