RACE TWO

Having upset the barrier Gods, CLASSIE AMERICAN (4) will get some reprieve here after being closer than gate 6 just once in 14 Qld appearances. Locked away on the pegs last start, he claimed a 5m 3rd behind THE GOLDEN CROSS. A smart 3rd 5 starts back, he looks to get his chance in this.

RUN BOY RUN (5) worked across from this gate last start to find the pocket trail and chased hard to grab the bronze behind SOMWHEREOVARAINBOW. Caught facing the breeze the start prior over the mile, he faded under the work and will be trying to be 1st to the pegs or find cover to challenge here.

HARD TO HEAR (8) will be further tightened from his latest outing when 2nd up from a freshen. Snagged back from gate 4, he closed out nicely when 6m away. With early options he is in the mix.

COULDNTBETOLD (3) found the pole 1st prior to releasing the speed at Redcliffe last start and was sound to the line when 6m in arrears in a sizzling rate. With a similar type play he is a chance.

SELECTIONS: CLASSIE AMERICAN (4), RUN BOY RUN (5), HARD TO HEAR (8), COULDNTBETOLD (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CLASSIE AMERICAN (4) to win

RACE THREE

OUR DOUG (9) steps out for Wayne Graham after featuring in a stable switch and joins the W T Graham team in nice form with a top-three at his past 5 in succession. Snagged right back from a wide gate last start, he worked home well for 3rd to THE DOORMAN. With even luck he can arrive.

LAZY BLAZE (1) ended a long winless streak when making the most of conditions last start to take them all the way from gate 1 over the Redcliffe 1780m. After some tough gates prior to that contest, he capitalised and ran home a strong closing 800m. With the ace gate again, he can give this a shake.

TORQUE IS TRENDING (8) secured the pocket trail on debut and with the cosy trip held on for the silver. With the experience gained form that run and another cosy trip, he can place again.

BLACKJACK BART (3) was able to breakthrough for a maiden victory at the last race of the season and sneak the QBRED bonus into the kitty. Too strong in the breeze, he faces the older horses here, but looks up to the task.

SELECTIONS: OUR DOUG (9), LAZY BLAZE (1), TORQUE IS TRENDING (8), BLACKJACK BART (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR DOUG (9) to win

RACE FOUR

AQUA MISS (6)
took on a strong mares race last time out and was hitting the line strongly but was unable to reel in the winner BALLERINA COURU, when 1m in arrears. Taking them all the way the start prior over the mile, the small field suits and she can be attacking late.

MAJESTIC KIWI (1) aims up for the hat-trick after successive wins at the mile, the latest when setting a new career benchmark. Rolling forward from gate 5 in that contest to take control, he fought them off to claim a 4m win. The form has held from that race with 2nd and 3rd both subsequent winners.

STAR OF MONTANA (5) completed the hat-trick last start when unleashing his powerful finishing power to arrive for the prize. The small field is in his favour and he can swoop to the prize.

MADAME LEZA (4) was forced to race tough in the breeze last start when taking on a mares qualifier and fading in the latter stages. That followed a similar trip from gate 7 and she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: AQUA MISS (6), MAJESTIC KIWI (1), STAR OF MONTANA (5), MADAME LEZA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: AQUA MISS (6) to win

RACE FIVE

Another dice rolling claimer where a different winner is likely to bob-up with ONE WISE MAN (3) looking to get the right conditions this time around. Snagged back from gate 7 last start, he was attacking the line strongly when close-up, which followed a tidy run. The improved gate is a big plus.

DIVAS DELIGHT (8) should take some good benefit from his latest start when 2nd up from a freshen. Settling back in the pack from gate 11, he motored home hard down the centre of the track to arrive for the prize. Snagged back from gate 6 over this trip 2 starts back, he will be probing for space.

RORY MACH (2) was locked away against the poles last time out and when the gaps opened, he attacked the line strongly to be within 3m. He will be locked and loaded ready to attack late here.

CASINO TOMMY (7) started from gate 12 over the sprint trip last start and was tracking into the contest strongly wide off the track when grabbing 2nd to DIVAS DELIGHT. The gate hurts, but he won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: ONE WISE MAN (3), DIVAS DELIGHT (8), RORY MACH (2), CASINO TOMMY (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ONE WISE MAN (3) to win

RACE SIX

SPECIAL RESERVE (1) will strip fitter following her return from a spell where she held the inside advantage and looked to lead throughout. After a steady opening 800m of the last mile, the pace was ramped when grabbed and finishing 3rd to ALE ALE KAI. She can capitalise here.

GETARATTLEON (5) was a winner at his 1st Qld appearance when finishing hard to arrive over the 2138m. Taking on a qualifier last start he was solid to the line when 8m from THE ANNOUNCER over the mile. Back to the 2138m, and 1st up since joining the Cini stable, he can challenge.

MAJOR LUCKY (3) heads north for KerryAnn Morris and arrives after a luckless run on the tight Bankstown track last start. Settling handy in the run, he can be thereabouts.

GEST AS SMART (8) sat in the trail at Tamworth 2 starts back after releasing the front and finished best to take the win. With a soft trip on offer here, look for him taking the snipers shot.

SELECTIONS: SPECIAL RESERVE (1), GETARATTLEON (5), MAJOR LUCKY (3), GEST AS SMART (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SPECIAL RESERVE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

ALE ALE KAI (3) made a winning start to her Qld career here last week when rolling forward to the breeze over the 2138m and from that position packed too many guns in scoring a smart 5m victory. This will be a further step up, but with wins at her past 3, she can look to take another step here.

TORI MAY (2) was closing out nicely here 3 starts back when chiming in for the silver behind MAJESTIC KIWI. Probing for gaps after being buried away here 2 starts back, she can look to settle handy to the action here and if the breaks go her way can be in the mix.

JILLIBY JACKPOT (4) was a winner at his 1st Qld outing when hitting the line in good style to arrive for a half-neck victory. Chiming in late for the bronze last start, he can be thereabouts again here.

AMILLION PROMISES (7) has no favours from the wide gate here but should find this easier than recent outings. Mid-field behind GUNRNEEDABIGRBOAT last start, that was his 1st run back from a break and he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ALE ALE KAI (3), TORI MAY (2), JILLIBY JACKPOT (4), AMILLION PROMISES (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ALE ALE KAI (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

CC JONES (7) lands another tough gate but in a race that looks to have a few chances, he might just be able to sneak away with this. A long way back in the pack from gate 10 last start, he was always facing a task and the start prior he was strong to the line behind STAR OF MONTANA. Just needs some luck.

IMA BIRUBI BOY (2) will be better suited back to the mile here after fading out over the longer 2138m last start. At his 1st run following a stable switch 2 starts back, he closed out in good order when 6m from the winner BARRETT. From this alley he can look to take his chances.

TOO GOOD FOR YOU (1) lands a good gate after a string of poor starting positions and can look to take full advantage. With the early options, he will be right in the thick of it here.

DAPPER (8) rolled forward from gate 6 last start and doing the work in the run was strong to the line when within 3m of the winner. He will need some luck here but can be probing for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: CC JONES (7), IMA BIRUBI BOY (2), TOO GOOD FOR YOU (1), DAPPER (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-7-8

RACE NINE

RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1) resumes from a break and has been to the trials once in preparation. Sent to the breeze here 2 starts back from the 2nd line, he packed too many guns when driving to a narrow victory over the mile. With the options from the ace, he can make a winning return.

LIVE ATOM (8) will strip fitter following his 1st up run in Qld where he was stepping out for the 1st time in 4 months. Taking them all the way, he was never bothered early and turning it into a scamper home, closed out nicely. He will be probing for the gaps to take a closing shot.

MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5) is racing in nice touch and has gone around in qualifiers at his past 2. Hitting the line nicely for silver to THE ANNOUNCER 2 starts back, he was luckless last time.

TIN ROOF RAIDER (10) doesn’t receive any favours from the tough gate here but his 3 starts in Qld have all been string. Only a half-neck from STAR OF MONTANA last time, he will be attacking late.

SELECTIONS: RECIPE FOR DREAMING (1), LIVE ATOM (8), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5), TIN ROOF RAIDER (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
