RACE TWO

TAM OSHANTER (1) has faced the starter on 3 occasions in Qld with all 3 from the tapes. Proving a costly conveyance, he was sent to the post in red figures for 2 of those and finished last on both occasions after making critical errors in transit. Freshened, he gets back to mobile conditions and from the gate can gain redemption.

SUGARINSPICE (2) has a tidy record from the mobile but will have just her first Aus start from behind the car in this. A winner first up when stepping straight to the front here 3 starts back, she threw her chances away second up before grabbing 2nd to DREAMEE last start. From the good alley she will throw it down.

PRINCESS FAITH (5) returned from a spell in perfect order last time when owning the best closing speed to power over the top from a 20m tape. A two-time mobile winner, she cannot be ignored.

MATATOKI (10) was midfield last start when chasing behind PUMA ROAD after settling in the 1x1 trail. Only 5m in arrears of HELLO JOLENE JOLENE 2 starts back, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: TAM OSHANTER (1), SUGARINSPICE (2), PRINCESS FAITH (5), MATATOKI (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

LEAP TO FAME (3)
tackled older opponents for the first-time last start and was never in danger when taking them all the way from this same gate to claim an effortless victory. He is a classy 2YO that looks to have a bright future and from the gate should command the respect from this alley.

ARMA VEYRON (1) held them wide from this gate last start over the 2138m and was able to control the tempo to score an all the way victory. Runner-up at Redcliffe the start prior when only a half-head away from gate 6, she has the gate to get the easy trip behind the speed.

TIMS A TROOPER (2) held the pocket trail last start from gate 1 and was best of the chasers when trying to launch a late rally to be 5m from his stablemate LEAP TO FAME. Limiting the early work will be key.

SHEZ GOT BLING (8) has been in great touch and added another win to her tally here last week when finishing over the top of them to claim victory by a half-head. Locked away she can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (3), ARMA VEYRON (1), TIMS A TROOPER (2), SHEZ GOT BLING (8)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 2-3-8

RACE FOUR

PEPPA BLISS (4)
was able to overcome gate 12 last start when making a three-wide move from the 700m and then really putting the power on with her own individual closing 400m in sub 27 to claim a stylish victory. Gate 7 was her undoing the start prior and although the gate is a little sticky, she can arrive again.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (1) started from gate 10 last time out when trying to make ground wide off the track as LEAP TO FAME proved too classy. Banished to the trials the previous start, he is back into the main draw which avails the options to make a serious challenge in this.

FLIGHT CREW (7) eased at barrier release last start and from back in the pack hit the line nicely to grab the prize with a neck to spare on the line. Similar tactics here can see her make a play.

THE GENERAL (6) secured the cart home on the back of PEPPA BLISS last start and peeled off a slick closing panel. The wide gate does not help again but he can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: PEPPA BLISS (4), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (1), FLIGHT CREW (7), THE GENERAL (6)
SUGGESTED BET: PEPPA BLISS (4) to win

RACE FIVE

After securing the pocket trail from this same gate last time out in a qualifier KEAYANG MARVEN (1) had the cosy sit before making his shot via the passing lane a winning one. With the likelihood of another economical trip in behind, he can be in the position to hit the target with the snipers shot once again.

JUDDY DOUGLAS (2) was sent to the front here 3 starts back over the mile and from the front kept the power on throughout to claim a new PB in scoring by 14m. Inside the 2nd line was his undoing at his next appearance, while sitting parked in slick time last start was not suitable. He can bounce back hard.

AJAY BREEZY ROSE (8) was beaten by gate 7 last start against her own sex and could not bridge the deficit in the closing stages. The pegs look a good option here and she can chime into the minors.

JUST ROKIN (4) was back in the field last start from the 2nd line and was weaving a passage over the closing stages to grab the silver. Down the line behind WILL THE WIZARD the start prior, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG MARVEN (1), JUDDY DOUGLAS (2), AJAY BREEZY ROSE (8), JUST ROKIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: KEAYANG MARVEN (1) to win

RACE SIX

Needing some factors in his favour, SIMON (8) looks set to get the run and be in the position to make his case for victory. Poor draws have ended his chances at his past 2 starts while 3 starts back he was outgunned behind GOVERNOR JUJON. With the cosy trip he can be ready to hit the target with the snipers shot here.

YOUNG CONQUEROR (9) was stung with gate 7 here last start when able to find the 1x1 trail before making the closing challenge when runner-up to MAJOR FERNCO. Luckless when stuck in traffic the start prior behind EL AGUILA, he can look to press through and wind up to make his challenge.

PINUP BOY (1) has not really had much go his way in recent starts with his best gate in recent starts secured when he was tackling his less preferred distance. Eased from gate 6 last start, he looks to get his chance to dictate.

CRAZY SHIPPO (2) was asked to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start when sitting parked over the 2138m and fighting to the line when 8m away. From the gate he can feature.

SELECTIONS: SIMON (8), YOUNG CONQUEROR (9), PINUP BOY (1), CRAZY SHIPPO (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SIMON (8) win/place

RACE SEVEN

HAPPY PUBLICANS (1)
has started from the 2nd line in 4 of his past 5 starts but still been able to overcome the impediment to claim wins in 2 of those. Fading in the closing stages last start over the 2138m when sent forward from gate 11, he is at his best when at the front and with the improved gate looks to get every chance.

NO DOUBT (6) was able to find enough space to squeeze in behind the leader here last week and from the pocket trail had the right trip to make the closing shot a winning one. Hitting the line strongly the start prior for the bronze, the gate makes it tough, but he is racing well enough to throw it down.

ROYAL OBSESSION (5) started from the 2nd line here last start when making some good metres in the closing stages behind NO DOUBT. Buried in a qualifier the start prior, he can chime in here.

HOT N GOLD (2) tackled a mare’s qualifier last start when finding the pocket trail and then using the passing lane to arrive for the prize. With the good gate she should be in the right position to feature.

SELECTIONS: HAPPY PUBLICANS (1), NO DOUBT (6), ROYAL OBSESSION (5), HOT N GOLD (2)
SUGGESTED BET: HAPPY PUBLICANS (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

SKIPPYS DELIGHT (9)
was sent to the post as favourite last start from gate 6 over the mile. Sent forward in the early stages, he was able to press on and take control. Fighting hard over the closing stages, he was a head in arrears of the winner GENERAL MONTANA. He finds a race here with some front-line tempo to give him a chance for an Australian breakthrough.

SCOTTS RAIN (4) arrives in Qld and brings a top-three in just three starts. Runner-up at Melton and Ballarat at her first two starts, she was then able to get an easy time through the first half before zipping home to claim a 7m victory. This is a step up but tucking in behind can challenge.

CUZIN LYNDAL (3) was sent to the front last start from gate 4 last time out before handing over and from the trail finished 5m in arrears of the winner. Runner-up to HAPPY PUBLICANS the start prior, she can get forward here.

NINA SIMONE (2) was midfield last start behind PEPPA BLISS after doing some early work to secure position. Sent forward from gate 5 the start prior, she can get off the gate here to feature.

SELECTIONS: SKIPPYS DELIGHT (9), SCOTTS RAIN (4), CUZIN LYNDAL (3), NINA SIMONE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SKIPPYS DELIGHT (9) to win

RACE NINE

Forced to do plenty of early work to find position last start, CAPTAIN NEMO (2) felt the pinch and faded out to the tail. Runner-up his previous 2 outings when beaten a head by KEAYANG MARVEN and when wide off the track chasing OUR ACTION MAN, he finds the gate to look for a bounce back victory.

EXPLICIT CASTLE (8) comes up with the 2nd line options following the quick beginner or can look to ease wider soon after release. Luckless last start when searching for space that never arrived and finishing within 5m of WAHS FIRE BUG, he can make the closing challenge here.

OHOKA JIMMY (3) was sent forward in the early stages to secure position over the middle trip last time out before receiving cover and then holding on for 3rd to GOOD AS IT GETS. A Redcliffe winner 3 starts back, he can chime in here.

CHIASSO (1) tackled mares’ company last start when looking to see it out but gunned down over the closing stages. With the gate to use her early hustle, she can be thereabouts in this contest.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN NEMO (2), EXPLICIT CASTLE (8), OHOKA JIMMY (3), CHIASSO (1)
SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN NEMO (2) to win
