RACE TWO

IM THE COMMANDO (11) will have to overcome the big 60m impost but after 4 runs back from a spell, looks ready to roll. His return from the break was a tidy effort behind SUGARINSPICE and then 2 starts back he was banished to the trials. Strong to the line last start when 2nd to ONE NIGHT OUT, he is up to the task.

SPIDERS DEVIL (4) started from 20m last time out and angled to the pegs in the big field hoping for some favours to go his way. Not too far from PRINCESS FAITH the start prior when finishing midfield, if he can step cleanly and set out after the front markers, he might just be able to utilise this tape to advantage.

ALDEBARAN SELENA (2) is still searching for her first 3YO win after 13 attempts have returned 7 placings this season. In the money her past 5 in succession, tackling the older horses is tough but the handicap advantage can help.

DOWN UNDER RORS (5) has been let down by his manners in recent starts, making errors at his past 2. Making late ground when 6m from HELLO JOLENE JOLENE 3 starts back, he can improve in this.

SELECTIONS: IM THE COMMANDO (11), SPIDERS DEVIL (4), ALDEBARAN SELENA (2), DOWN UNDER RORS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IM THE COMMANDO (11) to win

RACE THREE

WOODLANDS WONDER (5)
eased from gate 4 last time out and soon settled near the rear of the pack and could not get warm over the closing stages. Buried in the run here 2 starts back from gate 1, he seems to have had a few chances to cash-in since his last win that have gone begging. He gets another chance here.

ILLBEWATCHING (6) has been racing in consistent order, hitting the board in 13 of his past 16 outings. Pressing forward to take control last start from gate 5, he was only grabbed in the last strides and can feature again here.

CHUMP CHOP (3) was obliged to work hard last start when parked over this trip and was grafting away when holding on for the silver. A strong winner the start prior, he is right in the fight once again.

JOEY LINCOLN (9) started from this same gate last start when trying to make a late play, finishing 6m from the winner OFFICE BAD BOY. Trailing through again, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: WOODLANDS WONDER (5), ILLBEWATCHING (6), CHUMP CHOP (3), JOEY LINCOLN (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

COBBITY CASTLE (4)
has been in super form and has not missed the board in 12 starts in Qld. A winner in 5 of her past 6 starts, the only defeat came when holding 3rd behind the ultra-impressive 2YO LEAP TO FAME after doing all the work when parked. She finds another winnable race here.

CALL ME DIVA (8) started from gate 3 last start when settling in the running line. With a slow opening half, she was able to attack the line strongly over the closing stages to grab 2nd and get within a half-head of the winner. Needing a slice of luck from this alley, she will be searching.

DESPONDENT (7) will take benefit from his latest offering where he was resuming from a spell. Buried in the run from inside the 2nd line, he grabbed the bronze over the 2138m and can feature oncer again.

SHEZ ALL STYLE (10) was asked to hang tough when sitting parked last start and was grinding it out when holding 3rd. Sent for a break following that run, she tackles this without a trial and will garnish good improvement.

SELECTIONS: COBBITY CASTLE (4), CALL ME DIVA (8), DESPONDENT (7), SHEZ ALL STYLE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: COBBITY CASTLE (4) to win

RACE FIVE

BARIKA (4) is yet to win since arriving in Australia, placing in 4 of 8 here at The Creek. Sent forward from the five-hole last start to set the tempo, the speed was slippery in the opening half, and she just wilted in the closing stages in holding 2nd. From this gate she can look to control it again.

NIFTY JOLT (8) was a smart winner here 2 starts back when first up in Qld and grafting out a tough win over the mile. Up to the middle-trip last start, he could not go with them in the closing stages as ITZ CHEROKEE JACK arrived. Likely coiled in behind the speed, he can take the snipers shot here.

OUR FRIEND (10) resumes from a spell and has opened the pipes in a pair of trials. The latest hit out saw him sent forward and run a strong mile to claim the trial and despite the tough gate can feature fresh.

MOTU AMETHYST (2) started from the 2nd line last start and was chasing hard when not too far from the winner OFFICE BAD BOY. 3rd 2 starts back when only 1.5m in arrears, she can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: BARIKA (4), NIFTY JOLT (8), OUR FRIEND (10), MOTU AMETHYST (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BARIKA (4) to win

RACE SIX

KASHED UP (5)
looked to be in plenty of bother last start when a tactical battle in the small field looked set to derail him as a short-priced favourite. Sprouting wings over the closing stages to charge home over the top, it had followed a 2nd to the CAPTAIN CRUSADER, and he can kash-in here.

ANOTHER STATEMENT (4) eased from gate 4 last time out and was making strong ground over the closing stages when 3rd to ROCK FISHERMAN. Runner-up to KASHED UP here 2 starts back, he can settle in the running line and looks best of the chasers behind that same smart 3YO.

AJAY BREEZY ROSE (6) started from inside the 2nd line last time out when probing for openings. Beaten by gate 7 in a strong mares race the start prior, she has podium claims in this.

THE HUMMER (1) was first up in 9-months at Redcliffe last start when easing from a wide gate before flashing home to score. Tucked in behind the action here can see him in the money.

SELECTIONS: KASHED UP (5), ANOTHER STATEMENT (4), AJAY BREEZY ROSE (6), THE HUMMER (1)
SUGGESTED BET: KASHED UP (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

LE TISSIER (9)
was having her first start in Qld here last week when easing from gate 5 to secure running line position over the 2138m. With a solid tempo being set in front, he had the closing power to swoop home over the top to claim victory. Fitter for the run, he can repeat it in this.

FIREHOUSE (2) was resuming from a spell and making his first appearance in Qld here last time out when easing from gate 7 to find position. With plenty of tempo up front, he was strong to the line over the closing stages to grab the bronze. With the improved gate he can make a challenge.

GOING FOR GOLD (3) made an error soon after the start to have his chances expire last time out when resuming from a spell. Talented at his best, he has been somewhat enigmatic but cannot be overlooked.

TARGARYEN (10) was a gritty winner here 3 starts back when sitting parked and out-toughing them to the line. Inside the 2nd line was his undoing at his next 2 and resuming here from a break is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: LE TISSIER (9), FIREHOUSE (2), GOING FOR GOLD (3), TARGARYEN (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

UNCLE SHANK (7)
was given the ODM tag for an indiscretion last start but that was not enough to stop him setting the speed in front and bouncing back for a strong win. Not suited the start prior at the 2138m, he can be set alight off the arm here to keep them chasing.

EL AGUILA (10) fired off the arm to take control from gate 2 last time out as a short red figure fav but with a sub 56 opening half was unable to see it out when holding on for the bronze. A winner from the front here 3 starts back, he can push through and look to make a closing play here.

VOUCHERS (9) has been freshened since her last outing when fading out after being set alight from gate 7 to take control. Searching for her best form after a run of outs, she can be sharper here.

CHEESANDKISSES (1) will take good benefit from her latest outing when resuming from a spell and chasing hard for the bronze behind UNCLE SHANK. The gate is a big help to her chances here.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE SHANK (7), EL AGUILA (10), VOUCHERS (9), CHEESANDKISSES (1)
SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE SHANK (7) to win

RACE NINE

ROCK FISHERMAN (5)
shoots for the hat-trick after wins at the 2138m and then the mile. Sent to the front over the sprint trip last start, he was never in danger in claiming a smart win which followed a tough win when parked in claiming a qualifier from gate 7. He can land the hat-trick.

RAGNARR (1) was sent forward from gate 6 over the mile last start and asked to race tough in the breeze when fading in the closing stages as BOMBADIER JUJON took the prize. Fading the start prior under a tough trip, he lands his best gate for some time and can look to capitalise on the opportunity.

MOHS EM DOWN (3) has been runner-up at his past 2 starts, the latest when sitting parked and grafting outside ROCK FISHERMAN. Beaten a lip the start prior, he can get forward to feature.

BEE GEES BANDIT (4) found the pocket trail last start when 2nd up from a break and with the ideal trip in behind the action, had the bullets to fire in the stretch. He can be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: ROCK FISHERMAN (5), RAGNARR (1), MOHS EM DOWN (3), BEE GEES BANDIT (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCK FISHERMAN (5) to win

RACE TEN

SABRAGE (3)
was eased off the arm here last week and angled to the poles where he was only able to get within 7m of the winner DREAM TO SHARE. An all the way winner at his 2 previous starts at both the sprint and middle-distance, he has the gate speed to take the shot to capitalise.

DREAM TO SHARE (5) was knocking on the door after successive 2nd placed returns in claiming company and then last week found suitable conditions to stroll through. Eased from gate 6 out of the early speed, he powered over the top to claim a smart win and with even luck can repeat.

CHANTREY (4) sat in the 1x1 trial here last time and was out and chasing when runner-up. Not suited from inside the 2nd line the start prior, he can do work if required and can look to feature.

SELECTIONS: SABRAGE (3), DREAM TO SHARE (5), CHANTREY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SABRAGE (3) to win
