RACE TWO

GELDOF (8) has worked his way back into form and was best of the chasers behind the strong winner SLICK BLASTER 2 runs back. Franking the effort of that performance, he took them all the way last start for a comfortable win from gate 1. He will be pressing through, and this is within reach.

ALI DOWNUNDER (5) faces the tricky gate and last start was chasing behind GELDOF after being hemmed away against the poles. Chasing the speed machine UNCLE SHANK the start prior, positioning cheaply will be key to his challenging chances.

MISS MIA (3) has 2 wins at her past 3 starts, the latest when darting through a gap to finish best from inside the 2nd line here. Settling handy to the speed can see her make a play.

HIT THE TRACK (1) eased from gate 5 last start to settle near the rear before making some good metres in the closing stages. With the cosy trip he can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: GELDOF (8), ALI DOWNUNDER (5), MISS MIA (3), HIT THE TRACK (1)
SUGGESTED BET: GELDOF (8) to win

RACE THREE

LA SAFRON (4)
was a winner here 5 starts back when firing off the arm from gate 1 and taking them all the way. Wide gates have hampered his chances since that victory, but the runs have still been full of merit. Charging from back in the pack to get within a half-head last start, he can sneak home with this.

GETALOADATHISGIRL (2) has been without a win for some time but has worked her way back into some form with placings in 4 of her past 5 outings. Best of the chasers behind GELDOF last start after working home from back in the pack, she can be closer to the action to throw it down to them here.

NO CONFESSION (6) faces a tough ask from this alley, but he was game in defeat when sitting parked last start from gate 7 over the AP mile. With form against stronger opponents than he meets here, look for him making a play.

MOTU CULLEN (1) is a newcomer to Qld and arrives a three-time winner. Last seen at Bendigo in May, his preparatory trial did not go to plan, but the gate keeps him under notice.

SELECTIONS: LA SAFRON (4), GETALOADATHISGIRL (2), NO CONFESSION (6), MOTU CULLEN (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

CALVERT HOT SHOT (8)
was disappointing on face value at his first run for the new stable here last time out. Arriving a last start Ballarat winner, he had returned a smart trial in readiness for the first up tilt and was sent out as favourite. He can turn it around and bounce back.

MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (7) eased from gate 4 to secure position here last time out and was wide off the track when launching into the battle and arriving down the outside for a tough win. Likely locked away here, he will be charging when the gaps appear to make his challenge.

SUBTLE ADVICE (1) has not drawn a marble for some time and can look to take full advantage of landing the good alley for this. Picking off some late metres last time out, he is in the mix.

ROCK SUPREME (4) eased from the wide gate last start and was back in the pack when trying to make a closing raid. With some tough gates of late, he can be sharper here.

SELECTIONS: CALVERT HOT SHOT (8), MISTERRIODEJANEIRO (7), SUBTLE ADVICE (1), ROCK SUPREME (4)
SUGGESTED BET: CALVERT HOT SHOT (8) to win

RACE FIVE

PURPLE SHADES (1)
started from inside the 2nd line at Marburg 2 starts back and buried in the run found open road to finish hard over the top of them. From a similar position here last start, he grabbed the bronze and settling one spot closer from this alley can make the closing play.

JILLIBY GIZMO (9) was obliged to do it the tough way last start and was griding it out when only finishing a neck in arrears of the winner. Too far back around the tight Marburg track the start prior, securing a cart into the contest here can see him make a challenge.

SWEET LOMBO (5) started from inside the 2nd line last time out and was soon eased away from the poles and put into the contest to sit parked. Unable to see it out, he comes up with the wide gate but is still a podium hope.

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3) will strip fitter following her latest outing when resuming from a spell. Angled to the pegs from the 2nd line over the AP mile, 8 of her 9 career wins have been on this track.

SELECTIONS: PURPLE SHADES (1), JILLIBY GIZMO (9), SWEET LOMBO (5), NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-5-9

RACE SIX

COURAGEOUS WAYS (1)
did it the tough way at Marburg 2 starts back when sent to the breeze to grind it out and she was in for the fight when holding on for the bronze. Gate 5 was her undoing last start when again sent to sit parked. Conditions look ideal for her to dictate to victory here.

WAVEDANCER (2) fired off the arm last start to take control and from the front he was able to hold them off to claim a 2m victory. Nothing was in his favour the start prior over the AP mile and with early speed he can create the space to drop in for the trail to make his challenge.

CIRCLE LINE (5) ended a long winning drought last time out at Marburg when securing the pocket trail and then making the closing shot a winning one. The gate is tricky, but he can feature here.

CANNAN (3) eased from gate 6 last time out and was deep in the pack and could not eat into the deficit. Settling closer here can see him in the mix of the money.

SELECTIONS: COURAGEOUS WAYS (1), WAVEDANCER (2), CIRCLE LINE (5), CANNAN (3)
SUGGESTED BET: COURAGEOUS WAYS (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (4)
will take good benefit from his win here last time out when overturning a long winless streak. Making his first appearance for Chloe Butler in that outing, he powered over the top for a smart win and can look to repeat the effort here.

PATCHWORK JET (8) started form inside the 2nd line last time out and was probing for the openings when in the second half of the pack behind LITTLEDEE. Midfield the start prior, he can look to press through to secure position and make his play for the prize.

TORQUE TO THE MAX (3) will be further tightened from her latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Although well beaten in both returning runs, she can settle closer in the run to feature here.

ELLE JAY (6) has no favours from this alley as she searches for her first win since June. Chasing to grab the bronze last start, she can chime into the minors again here.

SELECTIONS: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (4), PATCHWORK JET (8), TORQUE TO THE MAX (3), ELLE JAY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR EDUARDO DENARIO (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

OKANES DEVIL (1)
has placed in 3 of her past 4 starts as she searches for her first Qld victory. Wide off the track last start from the 2nd line, she was able to grab the bronze which followed a 2nd when nabbed in the closing stages at Marburg. Form the gate she can look to take them all the way.

DOWNTOWN LUCCA (8) rolled forward to do some early work when exposed here on Thursday before receiving cover and fighting on for the bronze behind STUDLEIGH WILL. Chasing behind FORGIVE ME the start prior, he should appreciate the conditions here to throw it down.

CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (6) faces an ask from the tough alley here but has been in nice touch with placings at his past 2 starts. 8m in arrears of the winner last start when working home in the closing stages, he can chime in here.

LORD DENZEL (3) sat in the pocket trail last start and was fighting hard to cling on in the closing stages. Fading after leading them up the start prior, he can be handy enough to feature here.

SELECTIONS: OKANES DEVIL (1), DOWNTOWN LUCCA (8), CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT (6), LORD DENZEL (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

JAYTEES HAT (6)
arrives in Qld to join the Ron Sallis stable and will be first up since late July. With a steady preparatory trial in readiness for her first outing, she is given no favours with the tough gate. Despite some factors against her, she might just pinch a wide-open race late on a Sunday night.

WEDDING NIGHT (3) features in a stable switch to line up for Greg Franklin for the first time. Kept fresh since her last appearance back on August 5, she has early speed out of the machine and although still a maiden after 61 attempts, finds the right race to make a play.

AUNTY EMILY (7) looked to take them all the way last start from gate 1 but was unable to see it out when holding on from the bronze behind the 13m winner LITTLEDEE. Buried away she will be searching for gaps here.

QUALITY TIME (2) was obliged to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way last start at Marburg from gate 5 and was not too far away. He can fire the early shots here to be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: JAYTEES HAT (6), WEDDING NIGHT (3), AUNTY EMILY (7), QUALITY TIME (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
