SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:

Rockhampton 23 April, 2015 PHOTOBOMB - The trainer reported that the gelding had an abscess in the near hind hoof and will now be spelled.

Rockhampton 30 April, 2015 DESTINO STRATA - The trainer advised stewards that the horse had a stone bruise to its near foreleg, which had been treated. He was advised that he must obtain a veterinary clearance prior to the horse being permitted to race again.

RQ Stewards attended various on course and off course stables in Rockhampton late on Friday afternoon and carried out inspections. Stewards re-visited stables and carried out further inspections on early Saturday morning.

LATE RIDING CHANGES

When App. M. Powell was ill and unable to fulfil his engagements, substitutions were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. He must obtain a medical clearance before being permitted to ride again.

Race 1: Ray White Rural Rockhampton QTIS 2YO Handicap - 1100 metres
1st CLATEAU 2nd COMMANDS THE WORLD 3rd LEGAL PROCEDURE 4th - STIRLING GIRL

Trainer T. McMahon was reprimanded for failing to declare App. Darren Evans as the rider of SHROUDED by the prescribed time. Stewards acceded to a request from the trainer that App. Darren Evans claim 2kg of his 3kg allowance in order to use more appropriate race gear. Tightened shortly after the start. Taken inwards near the 400 metres.

DUDOOMP - Slow into stride.

COMMANDS THE WORLD - Fractious in the barriers as the start was effected and began awkwardly.

CRAIGLEA THUNDER - Shortly after the start shifted out and tightened SHROUDED out onto REDMIA.

RAKAMO - Near the 900 metres hung out, taking CRAIGLEA THUNDER wide and continued to do so in the middle stages. Trainer A. Suli was advised that the gelding must barrier trial before being permitted to race again.

LEGAL PROCEDURE - Made contact with another runner on jumping. Near the 700 metres raced keenly and had to be eased to avoid heels. Rider reported that he had pressure the gelding to take up a more forward position from the wide barrier in the early stages.

REDMIA - Contacted by another runner on jumping. Leaving the 400 metres when racing greenly shifted in and away from another runner.

CLATEAU - App. S. Payne was reprimanded under A.R. 137A in regard to his use of the whip above shoulder level.

Race 2: Clark Rubber Maiden Handicap - 1200 metres
1st WHAT A STAR 2nd CASH FOR MURTAL 3rd ROLLING ART 4th - FLY ONCE MORE

MOSTLY LUCKY - Was slow to begin. Near the 900 metres over-raced, and continued to do so in the middle stages. Near the 700 metres steadied from another runner and shifted in.

POINT LEO - Slow into stride. Near the 1000 metres commenced to race ungenerously for a short distance. Near 700 metres, was shifted out to avoid the heels of another runner.

ROLLING ART - Raced 3 wide throughout.

IF IN DOUBT - Raced wide throughout.

Race 3: Giddy Goat Café & Bar Fillies and Mares Class 2 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st RELEVANT GIRL 2nd HIDDEN NATURE 3rd ZARADA ANGEL 4th - ELLE THE MODEL

MISS NOTE - Made heavy contact with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

JOANIES LUCK -Made heavy contact with another runner on jumping.

RELEVANT GIRL - Had to be eased approaching the 900 metres.

ELLE THE MODEL - When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, Jockey Dale Evans stated that after beginning fairly his mount failed to travelled well until entering the home straight, at which time the mare made ground. Jockey Evans said that the horse may have failed to back up from its most recent start on a heavy track. Trainer A. Clark advised stewards that he intends to freshen up ELLE THE MODEL.

Race 4: The Capricornia Credit Union Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 2 Handicap - 1050 metres
1st STANATHOL 2nd DIAMONEEZE 3rd HUGHIE AND ME 4th - FAST FOCUS

STANATHOL - When Apprentice A. Holt was to be overweight, Jockey B. Stewart was substituted. App. Holt was fined $100. Stewards took into account his recent return to race riding and from suspension.

FAST FOCUS - Began a little awkwardly.

OVER THE CHOICE - Laid in shortly after the start and hampered another runner.

BERNIN LOOSE - Hampered shortly after the start. When questioned regarding the performance Jockey A. Coome stated that after being hampered at the start the gelding failed to travel comfortably for the remainder of the race. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed stiffness in its hindquarters, however no lameness was detected. Trainer T. Button confirmed that the gelding will now be sent for a spell.

HUGHIE AND ME - Began awkwardly. Approaching the winning post App. Krogh dropped his inside rein.

KHAANTANTES - Began awkwardly.

Race 5: Bentley’s Rocky Amateurs Cup Open Handicap - 1600 metres
1st VICTORY HOTEL 2nd HATZIS 3rd CASINO BENJO 4th - EXPRESS

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Jockey A. Coome, the rider of CASTLE EXPRESS which finished 4th, viewed the patrol films. After doing so he lodged a protest against CASINO BENJO (A. Lawrence), which finished 3rd, alleging interference near the 600 metres. After taking evidence from the parties involved, viewing the patrol films and taking into account their own observations stewards established that CASINO BENJO shifted in marginally which caused Jockey Coome to ease his mount. After considering the incident, where it had taken placed and that CASTLE EXPRESS had an uninterrupted run to the line Stewards were of the opinion the ground lost did not exceed the margin of a long neck between the two horses at the finish. Accordingly the protest was dismissed and the judge's placings ordered to stand. Jockey Lawrence was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

STOP CRYING - Jockey T. O'Hara was reminded of her obligations regarding the use of the whip on a horse out of contention (A.R. 137).

PULL NO PUNCHES - Pulled a near fore plate in running.

DANAGAZE- Slow to begin.

HATZIS- Stood flat- footed and missed the start.

VICTORY HOTEL- Raced 3 wide for the majority of the race.

CASINO BENJO- Near the 1300 metres, when being restrained, threw its head in the air and raced ungenerously for a short distance.

Race 6: Tattersall’s Racing Club Brisbane Rocky Amateurs Bracelet Open Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - PLAYTIME 2nd - STAR SAMMY 3rd - SPORTING PAGE 4th - VANDALISED

JAVELENTIA - When Jockey M. Abe was to be overweight, Jockey A. Lawrence was substituted as rider of the gelding. Jockey Abe was fined $100 under A.R. 120(b). Made contact with another runner on jumping. Raced wide throughout.

DASH FOR VIZ - Made contact with another runner on jumping.

POWER RANGER - Slow to begin.

BESEECH - Jumped in the air at the start, shifted out onto VANDALISED, which was taken out onto EL SUPREMO.

SCHOORWIN - Raced wide throughout.

ADDICTION TO ROCK - Raced 3 wide for the majority of the event, near the 900 metres commenced to lay in and then continued to lay in and near the 600 metres caused EL SUPREMO to be checked from its heels. Stewards were mindful of the racing manners of ADDICTION TO ROCK and App Summers was advised to show a greater effort to ensure sufficient racing room to runners on her inside.
