SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS

Mackay, 14th May 2015

WINGED WARRIOR - Trainer R. Vale informed stewards that subsequent to the race the horse had undergone blood tests which indicated that it had an infection and was treated. He said that WINGED WARRIOR will be freshened up and it was anticipated to have its next race start on 18th June 2015.

Rockhampton, 16th May 2015: Race 2: The Diana McLellan Memorial BBB QTIS 2-Y-O Maiden Handicap:

I EXCEED - Trainer C. Dore advised stewards that, following track work on Tuesday, the gelding exhibited muscle stiffness and would now be sent for a spell.

SHROUDED - Trainer T. McMahon advised stewards that it was observed that the filly had an abscess in its off fore hoof and would now be spelled.

LATE RIDING CHANGES:

As Jockey R. McMahon was unable to fulfil his engagements for personal reasons, substitutions were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

As Jockey J. Taylor was injured and unable to fulfil his engagements, substitutions were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.

Race 1: XXXX Gold Newmarket Thursday 18 June Maiden Handicap - 1300 metres
1st HOYWEDGE 2nd ALLGIRL 3rd POINT LEO 4th - IF IN DOUBT

POINT LEO - Prior to the race connections advised stewards that the gelding would race in a forward position, if possible. After being slow to begin the gelding raced midfield and in the middle stages raced fiercely.

ALLGIRL - Proved difficult to load into the barriers and warning would be placed on the horse's barrier manners.

PACEMAKER - Slow to begin.

O'TORIO - Raced wide throughout.

PAINT US A PICTURE - Raced wide until the 800 metres.

ONEMORENOBLEDANCER - On returning to scale Jockey J. P. Stanley reported that when placed under pressure his mount failed to stretch out and respond to his riding, and for that reason he did not placed it under full pressure in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 2: The Capricornian Community Owned Banking BM 70 Handicap - 1400 metres
1st CUMANI 2nd GO DIGGER 3rd POWER TO EXCEED 4th - RADIANT JOY

GLENTHORN AVENUE - Knuckled on jumping. The rider reported that thereafter the gelding failed to travel comfortably throughout.

MAC'S ADDITION - Slow into stride and raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

NOBODY'S BOY - Slow into stride and raced wide until near the 700 metres.

MURTLE MISS - Jockey M. Hellyer reprimanded under A.R. 142 for failing to weigh in for 5th.

Race 3: PFK Hacketts - Winter Provincial Stayers Series BM 70 Handicap - 1824 metres
1st ROWEINER 2nd GEMINI KING 3rd STOP CRYING 4th - LEO'S SPIRIT

STOP CRYING - Began a little awkwardly.

HIS REDEMPTION - Slow to begin

MANHATTAN ROCK - When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding Jockey Hellyer said that the travel today and the previous day may have had an adverse effect on the horse. He said that in his opinion it may not appreciate racing over 1800 metres and the fact that it had another runner to its outside which pressure for the lead from the 1000 metres until near the 400 metres may have been detrimental to its poor performance. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

Race 4: Victoria Tavern Class 1 Handicap - 1500 metres
1st BARON REES 2nd VALHALLA MIST 3rd DEE MINISHING 4th - CURLEY GREY

RESTRAINING ORDER - App. N. Vuille was permitted to claim only 2kg of her allowance, when no other apprentice rider was available. App. Vuille was fined $100 under A.R.92.

RED RYDER - Stood flat-footed at the start and lost some ground.

JOANIES LUCK - Slow to begin. Near the 1400 metres when crossed by DEE MINISHING, shifted out and caused GODDESS OF LUCK to be eased. As a result CURLEY GREY was forced wider on the track. Jockey Sheargold was reprimanded and advised to exercise greater care.

ETERNO - Stood flat-footed at the start and lost ground. Trainer B. Dixon was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to the gelding's next race start.

DEE MINISHING - Approaching the 1000 metres was eased, which caused GODDESS OF LUCK and CURLEY GREY to over-race for a short distance whilst being restrained. Near the 400 metres DEE MINISHING was tightened for room to the inside of CURLEY GREY, which lay in under riding. Jockey G Geran, the rider of CURLEY GREY, was reprimanded.

Race 5: SMW Group Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st HIDDEN NATURE 2nd FAST FOCUS 3rd OUTBACK SAPPER 4th - AERIAL PING PONG

KROSS REFERENCE - Slow to begin.

EMIRATES ART - Slow to begin.

ANGELS CROWN - Had its head on the side as the start was effected and was slow to begin.

HIDDEN CHIEF - Raced wide throughout.

MISS NOTE - Near the 600 metres rolled out slightly, taking HIDDEN CHIEF out marginally. QUICK ASSAULT, which was following, shifted away from heels.

Race 6: USG Boral QTIS 2YO Classic Handicap - 1100 metres
1st - EMBRACE THE PAIN 2nd - CLATEAU 3rd - LEGAL PROCEDURE 4th - DUKE OF EIGHT

AHMAH STAR - Trainer L. Cronan made submissions to the stewards seeking that App. M. Powell be permitted to ride the gelding claiming only 0.5kg of his allowance. After considering the circumstances stewards acceded to her request. Nevertheless, he was fined $100 under A.R. 92. The gelding was slow to begin.

CRAIGLEA JABIRU - Raced wide throughout.

Race 7: Best Western The Stirling Open Handicap - 1400 metres
1st - CASINO BENJO 2nd - PULL NO PUNCHES 3rd - VANDALISED 4th - MYTHOLOGIST

NEVZLIN - Slow to begin.

POWER RANGER - Slow to begin.

MOTORISED - Jockey J. P. Stanley reported that whilst his mount had travelled well, when placed under pressure at the 300m it was inclined to lay out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained a stone bruise to the off fore leg. Trainer F. Smith will be advised that he must obtain a veterinary clearance prior to the gelding being permitted to race again.

BLAZE TO FORTUNE - A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was showing an extremely poor post-race recovery rate.

HEROIC ACTION - When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, App. Q. Krogh stated that in his opinion the horse may have come to the end of its preparation and may not have felt comfortable racing on the turf surface.

MYTHOLOGIST - Near the 700 metres threw its head about and raced ungenerously. At the 700 metres raced ungenerously and had to be steadied from heels, shifted out and forced HEROIC ACTION to race 3 wide.

Race 8: Inferno Sports BM 75 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - SMART PATROL 2nd - IMBOSTERIA 3rd - RADIANT ANGEL 4th - DARK ANGEL

MT ZIGGARO - A pre-race veterinary examination of the gelding, which was resuming after a lengthy spell, did not reveal any abnormalities.

BESEECH - Began awkwardly.

RADIANT ANGEL - Slow to begin.

BENNY'S HALO - Slow to begin

CYCLONE BILLY - Near the 900 metres raced in restricted room to the inside of RADIANT ANGEL and had to be eased.
