Stewards followed up with trainer J. O'Shea regarding the performance of PRIMED FOR DESTINY. He informed stewards that he will give the horse a short freshen up and make adjustments to its feeding regime.

When questioned regarding the performance of ABOVE US, trainer M. Lehmann said that he was disappointed with the horse's performance, as it failed to run on as expected. Mr Lehmann added that he intends to start ABOVE US at the Emerald meeting next week. Jockey J. P. Stanley confirmed that the performance was disappointing, however he attributed this to the slow pace in the event. He added that ABOVE US was inclined to lay out over the concluding stages and said that over a shorter distance with more pace early he would expect an improved performance.

Trainer T. Button reported to stewards that COC DANCER had sustained an injury to its near fore knee and will now be sent for a spell.

Trainer Mr R. Vale advised stewards that ROCK OF FREEDOM had been diagnosed with a digestive problem and was being treated for same.
