Race 1: Thinkwater/Wandal Need & Feed Open Handicap- 1100 metres

SPEEDING DRAGON – Began awkwardly, and lost its near fore plate in running.

LANSDOWNE ROAD – A little slow to begin.

PHOTOBOMB – Began awkwardly. With regard to the performance of the horse, N. Summers stated today the gelding was taken on and was unable to lead and overraced as a result in the early and middle stages until it settled near the 700m. She was also of the opinion that the prevailing weather conditions, being hot and humid, may have affected its performance.

TERMS OF TRADE – Acting on a report from the Integrity Regulation Unit (IRU), stewards ordered a pre-race sample be taken from the horse. Trainer N. Mannion was fined $400 for failing to have a treatment book available. In assessing penalty, stewards took into account it was the second occasion on which Mr Mannion has been fined for contravention of this rule. Stewards questioned A. Butler regarding his riding in the straight. He stated it was his intention to stay one off the rail and following PHOTOBOMB, and when there was no clear running forward of him and STAGE EXIT was forward to his outside, he was unable to improve until near the 200m when STAGE EXIT shifted ground under pressure and clear running become available, at which time he placed his mount under pressure and it made ground.

Race 2: CQTBA Capricornia Yearling Sales QTIS 2YO C&G Maiden Plate - 1050 metres

SAYROTHY – Declared a late scratching at 12.45 pm when a pre-race veterinary inspection revealed a superficial laceration to its near hind with significant swelling. Trainer V. Vagg was fined $200 for failing to have a treatment book.

SNIP ‘N’ DRIFT – Declared a late scratching at 1.34 pm when unable to load and delayed the start. Trainer K. Hansen was advised that a further barrier certificate would be required for the horse prior to its next race start.

CRUNCH TIME – Examined by the veterinary surgeon at the barriers and cleared to start.

BAYSIDE BANDIT – Jumped inwards at the start.

PARTY PARDEE – Slow to begin.

OUR INVESTMENT – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 3: CQTBA Capricornia Yearling Sales QTIS 2YO Fillies Maiden Plate- 1050 metres
1st Security Belle 2nd Mishani Silva 3rd Mim’s Poet 4th- Ruby Remedy

MISHANI SILVA – Slow to begin.

MISHANI BELIEVER – Bumped at start. Raced wide without cover.

SHADOW QUEEN- Bumped at the start.

RUBY REMEDY – Raced wide without cover.

JOHANTEE- Raced wide with cover.

MISS SCHIFFER - Raced ungenerously on occasions in the straight. Raced without cover throughout.

Race 4: Stage and Audio Maiden Handicap- 1050 metres
1st Donquin 2nd Meteor’s Man 3rd Lightning Artist 4th- Ithakos

Acting on information from the IRU, stewards questioned trainer T. Button in relation to entries in his Treatment Book for his runners in this race. On the available evidence, Stewards could not be satisfied to the required standard that treatment had taken place within the prohibited time limit and permitted both horses to start. However, pre-race samples were taken from BOOMTOWN BOY and ITHAKOS. T. Button was fined $100 for incorrect information contained in his Treatment Book.

BOOMTOWN BOY – Eased at the 700m. Stewards will question N. Vuille regarding her riding in the early stages.

CRAIG AND PEDRO – Slow to begin. Apprentice D. Evans, rider of DONQUINN DOTTY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that near the 700m he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of CRAIG AND PEDRO, causing that horse to be tightened for room and lose its rightful running. Jockey Evans licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence at midnight, 13 November up to and including 22 November. In this incident, ITHAKOS had to be steadied from the heels of CRAIG AND PEDRO, and BOOMTOWN BOY eased from the heels of ITHAKOS.

NOCK WITH YA ELBOW – Shifted inwards shortly after the start and caused CRAIG AND PEDRO to be restrained and race ungenerously momentarily.

ITHAKOS – Eased at the 700m. Stewards questioned jockey A Butler with regard to the tactics and performance. A. Butler stated that he was aware that the horse had previously shown speed and raced in a handy position. In today’s race it begun fairly with the blinkers removed but had no early speed on jumping and settled in a midfield position.

METEOR’S MAN – Shifted ground under pressure over the concluding stages.

URBAN SPACEMAN – Race wide without cover and shifted ground in the straight when under pressure.

LIGHTNING ARTIST – Stewards questioned apprentice J. Orman regarding his riding in the early stages of the straight where it appeared he had clear running yet shifted out to the outside of URBAN SPACEMAN . J. Orman explained that he elected to shift out to the outside of URBAN SPEACEMAN as that horse had been weakening and he was of the opinion that the horse is better ridden to the outside of other runners.

Race 5: PKF Hacketts Class 3 Plate- 1600 metres
1st Hostile Owners 2nd Sanosuke 3rd Glacier Express 4th- Inkjet Sprinter

SANOSUKE – Began awkwardly and lost some ground.

STATING – Slow to begin.

MANILA ACADEMY – Bumped at the start.

INKJET SPRINTER – Bumped at the start.

HOSTILE OWNERS – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 6: Inferno Sports QTIS 3YO Handicap- 1200 metres
1st – Casino Thoughts 2nd – Stirling Girl 3rd – King Max 4th- Atlantis

ROCKETTE ROCKET – Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred shortly after the start. Subsequently jockey M. Hellyer, rider of EVA FEROCIA , was found guilty of a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of ROCKETTE ROCKET which caused that horse to clip the heels of EVA FEROCIA and blunder. Jockey Hellyer’s licence to ride in races was suspended from 8th November 2015 up to and including 20th November, 2015 a period of 12 days.

EVA FEROCIA – Steadied from the heels of another runner when over racing near the 900, causing The GIRLS IN PARIS to be restrained and race ungenerously for a short distance.

THE GIRLS IN PARIS – Restrained and raced ungenerously for a short distance near the 900 metres. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.

CASINO THOIUGHTS – Raced wide without cover throughout.

Race 7: Kix FM Presents Tameaka Powell Live in Concert 6pm Today Class 1 Handicap- 1200 metres
1st – Mamselle Corday 2nd – Our Single Doubt 3rd – Fondue 4th- Saintly Pro

OUR SINGLE DOUBT– A pre-race veterinary examination of the horse, which had a superficial laceration to the off shoulder, cleared it to take its place in the field. The trainer also reported he had treated the gelding for asthma since its previous start.

SAINTLY PRO – Slow into stride. Steadied near the 300 metres.

FONDUE – Made contact with another runner on jumping away.

FLYING SIREN – Made contact with another runner on jumping away. Bumped near the 100m.

TURKEY BEACH – Raced wide without cover throughout. Bumped near the 100m.

RED RADA – Raced wide without cover throughout.

NINETTE KAN – Raced wide with cover.

BARBOUGE – Rolled out near the 300m and SAINTLY PRO had to be steadied. At this stage, MISHANI INVADA made contact with the hind quarters of RED RADA, which became unbalanced.

RED RADA – Bumped and became unbalanced near the 300m.
