Race 1: Stockland Rockhampton Kids Fashion On The Field Handicap - 1400 metres
1st EVENTIDE 2nd SLIM HENRY 3rd IOWNAPRINCE 4th - DAMO’S TOUCH

IOWNAPRINCE - Began awkwardly. On returning to scale it was noted that the gelding had lost its off hind plate.

DAMO'S TOUCH - Jockey S. Sheargold lost his whip near the 200 metres.

Race 2: NRL Premiership Trophy Here Today @ 2.30pm QTIS 2YO Maiden Handicap- 1050 metres
1st SAYROTHY 2nd LADY STIRLING 3rd BAYSIDE BANDIT 4th - CRUNCH TIME

PURBECK - Was slow to begin, then shortly after the start bumped another runner, over-raced near the 900 metres and raced greenly in the home straight.

LADY STIRLING - Raced keenly in the middle stages, and from near the 200 metres raced greenly and shifted ground.

GIDGEE COALS - Raced wide without cover throughout.

OUR INVESTMENT - Bumped shortly after the start.

Race 3: Giddy Goat Café BM70 Handicap - 1100 metres
1st BASHAN 2nd FAST FOCUS 3rd ABOVE US 4th - IMBOSTERIA

¬MAGIC DECISION - The reason for the late declaration of Jockey A. Coome was noted. Trainer R. Vale was advised to have riders declared by the prescribed time. Jockey Coome reported that his mount was inclined to hang out near the 900 metres. Bumped near the 200 metres.

BASHAN - Slow to begin.

IMBOSTERIA - Slow to begin. Contacted by another runner near the 100 metres.

JEB'S BOY - Near the 900 metres, and again near the 600 metres, was eased from the heels of another runner.

ABOVE US - Near the 200 metres bumped MAGIC DECISION.

HIDDEN NATURE - Leaving the 100 metres made contact with MAGIC DECISION, which was shifted out onto IMBOSTERIA. Over the final 100 metres was held up and unable to obtain clear running.

1st POWER ON HARRY 2nd SLIP RAIL 3rd BAGGER MUSCLES 4th - ARGENTINA LAD

SLIP RAIL - Public announcements were made advising patrons that the colt had raced at Mackay on Thursday 26th November, finishing 5th of 7, beaten 4.3 lengths. Slow to begin.

ADEPERO - Stewards accepted the reason for the late declaration of Jockey D. Simmons as rider of the filly. Near 400 metres taken out onto another runner.

REDMIA- Slow to begin.

ARGENTINA LAD- Slow to begin.

CAPELLA GIRL - Raced wide with cover throughout.

COOPERS CREEK- Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover throughout.

I EXCEED – Raced wide without cover throughout. Hung out in the middle stages and near the 400 metres again laid out, taking CAPELLA GIRL out onto COOPERS CREEK. Bumped near the 400 metres.


Race 5: Chirstmas @ Callaghan Park Saturday 12 December BM60 Handicap - 1600 metres
1st PRICELESS HEART 2nd DECLINED 3rd MURRAMARANG 4th - DARK ANGEL

BARON REES - Prior to the start connections advised stewards that the gelding would be ridden off the pace, if circumstances allowed. The gelding was ridden in a worse than midfield position. Raced wide with cover throughout.

MURRAMARANG - Slow to begin.

PRICELESS HEART- Near the 400 metres when DECLINED shifted out, was taken out onto the hindquarters of DARK ANGEL (App. H. Phillips), which shifted in and hampered PRICELESS HEART. Shifted in near the 200 metres and made contact with DECLINED.

DARK ANGEL - Raced wide without cover throughout.

DECLINED – Made contact with another runner at the start and lost some ground. Near the 200 metres shifted ground and made contact with PRICELESS HEART, which also shifted ground.

Prior to the declaration of correct weight Jockey D. Hayse, rider of DECLINED which finished 2nd, and trainer C. Garland viewed the patrol video and after doing so lodged an objection, against PRICELESS HEART (App. N. Summers) being declared first, alleging interference in the final 50 metres. After taking evidence from the parties involved, viewing the patrol videos and taking into account their own observations, stewards established that, bearing in mind the grounds for the objection, PRICELESS HEART had not dictated or interfered with DECLINED in the final 50 metres. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed and the placings ordered to stand. Correct weight was then declared.

Race 6: Hahn 3.5 Class 3 Plate - 1400 metres
1st - GREEN EMPIRE 2nd - OOSTHUIZEN 3rd - MAMSELLE CORDAY 4th - SPURRED UP

The start was delayed when SPURRED UP (Jockey D. Evans) had to be resaddled.

MANDALONG CATATAC - After being placed in the barriers the mare got down behind, was removed from the gates and when replaced kicked the rear of the stalls on a number of occasions. The mare was again removed from the barriers and underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. When unable to be loaded the mare was a late withdrawal by order of the stewards at 4.02pm. Subsequently they ordered that all bets made on MANDALONG CATATAC be refunded and that the following deductions apply:

0¢ in the dollar for the win for the winner, GREEN EMPIRE
1¢ in the dollar for the place for the winner, GREEN EMPIRE
2¢ in the dollar for the place for 2nd, OOSTHUIZEN
2¢ in the dollar for the place for 3rd, MAMSELLE CORDAY

A further barrier certificate will be required prior to MANDALONG CATATAC being permitted to race again.

BIG BABA LOOEY - Slow into stride

OOSTERHUIZEN - Bumped another runner at the start. Over the final 100 metres when the gelding shifted ground, SPURRED UP had to race in restricted room.

MAMSELLE CORDAY - Bumped at the start. Near the 1000 metres and again near the 700 metres over-raced when being restrained.

SPURRED UP - Near the 800 metres and again near the 600 metres had to be steadied from heels. When another runner rolled out under pressure in the final 100 metres, had to race in restricted room.

MOSCOW - Raced wide without cover throughout.

MACHO TYCOON - Raced wide without cover until near the 900 metres, where it was able to gain cover. Laid out from the 600 metres, and in the early part of the straight was inclined to lay inwards. Jockey A. Coome was reprimanded for use of his whip on one more than the permissible occasion.

Race 7: Happy Birthday Carol Twigg Class 2 Handicap - 1200 metres
1st - ESPRIT LIGHT 2nd - SON OF A WARRIOR 3rd - BERNIN LOOSE 4th - MADAM PINK

RE ECHO - When Stewards were advised at rider declaration time that App. S. Fawke was unable to ride at the weight, App. M. Haley was substituted. Laid inwards onto the barrier partition and began awkwardly.

SOMEPLACE- Trainer T Cook fined $100 for late declaration of D. Evans as the rider.

MISS HOFFA - Jumped inwards awkwardly at the start.

DANE CHEVAL - Bounded in the air on jumping.

ESPRIT LIGHT - Raced wide without cover throughout.

EVA FEROCIA - Raced wide with cover throughout.

SON OF A WARRIOR - Raced wide with cover throughout.
