Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND MAIDEN – 395M

 

SMASHNIAK GALAXY was best to begin, KOORINGA ZOE was marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, LAUGHING GEAR, STEWY’S MAGIC and SMELL THE CHEESE collided, causing LAUGHING GEAR to fall and give no further competitive part in the race.  Entering the back straight, BOYZ ONE clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, BUST ‘EM UP and STEWY’S MAGIC collided, causing NOIRE DREAM to be checked and fall, and give no further competitive part in the race.

 

The greyhound SMASHNIAK GALAXY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound NOIRE DREAM underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – ERIC THOMSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN BNE 520 HEAT 1 – 520M

 

UNO JOHN was best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, UNO JOHN, CAPTAIN BLUE, RASHEDA and MISS CASH collided.  In the 1st turn, CAPTAIN BLUE shifted out checking NEXT EDITION, causing NEXT EDITION to fall and give no further competitive part in the race.  Leaving the back straight, UNO JOHN clipped heels.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, CAPTAIN BLUE clipped heels.  In the front straight, MISS CASH raced wide. 

 

The greyhound NEXT EDITION underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – ERIC THOMSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN BNE 520 HEAT 2 – 520M

 

ONE FOR MICK was best to begin, with SONIC BOOM marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, BLACK LOCH and ONE FOR MICK bump.  Leaving the 1st turn, SONIC BOOM and OUR SASSY GYPSY collided, resulting in MY BRO DOUGIE to be checked and all greyhounds to lose ground. Entering the back straight, LOGAN BELLE got onto the hindquarters of ONE FOR MICK, resulting in SONIC BOOM to be checked and all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees.

 

The greyhound MY BRO DOUGIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – ERIC THOMSON MEMORIAL MAIDEN BNE 520 HEAT 3 – 520M

 

Even start, with IRISH ROGUE beginning extremely awkwardly.  Shortly after the start, FANCY THAT GOLD and CRUEL SEA bump.  Approaching the 1st turn, FANCY THAT GOLD, CRUEL SEA and BLUE JILLEM raced tight, causing FANCY THAT GOLD to race wide.  Leaving the 1st turn, PROVOKER and CRUEL SEA collided, resulting in IRISH ROGUE to be checked and all greyhounds to lose ground at differing degrees.  Leaving the back straight, FANCY THAT GOLD clipped heels and checked IRISH ROGUE, both greyhounds were hampered.  Approaching the finishing line, PAINTED PICTURE clipped heels.

 

The greyhound IRISH ROGUE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – MARBURG HOTEL NOVICE – 395M

 

Even start, with AIDAN’S MAGIC slow.  Shortly after the start, FARMOR INFERNO was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, CHARLIE’S BARBUN and AIDAN’S MAGIC bumped.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, CHARLIE’S BARBUN and FARMOR INFERNO collided, causing both greyhounds to race wide.

 

Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 395M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, KIM OSTI shifted out and checked MISS BECKBOO, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.  Entering the back straight, NO CLYDE NEEDED was tightened for racing room.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, MISS BECKBOO clipped heels and lost ground.

 

Race 7 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 395M

 

Even start.  In the 1st turn, FARCELONA FENIX and MISS PAIGE MAC bumped.  Round the back straight, FARCELONA FENIX clipped heels.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, MISS PAIGE MAC and BRONZE GAMBLER bumped.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, IMA TIPPA TOO turned its head outwards and eased. 

 

The greyhound IMA TIPPA TOO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Connection to the greyhound IMA TIPPA TOO was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69A, Failing to Pursue 1st offence, with the greyhound to be stood down for a period of 28 days and to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial over a distance of 395m.

 

Race 8 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND 5TH GRADE – 520M

 

TOOKA TRIP was best to begin, with ORWELLIAN and FERNANDO BLASTER slow.  Shortly after the start, TOOKA TRIP was tightened for racing room, resulting in LION’S BLUE to be checked and both greyhounds to lose ground. 

 

Race 9 – FABERGAS @ STUD BEST 8 – 395M

 

Even start, with NOOREE DESSA marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, NEVER A DOUBT and GO LASSIE GO bumped.  Entering the back straight, KULU ZIPSTER was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Leaving the back straight, FARMOR ON FIRE and NOOREE DESSA collided, causing KULU ZIPSTER to be checked, and resulting in KULU ZIPSTER to fall and give no further competitive part in the race, and NOOREE DESSA to lose ground.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, GO LASSIE GO got onto the hindquarters of PREMIER TEJAY, causing both greyhounds to be hampered. 

 

The greyhound KULU ZIPSTER underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound NOOREE DESSA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – BOX1PHOTOGRAPHY.COM MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 395M

 

Even start. In 1st turn, SASSY OAKS was tightened for racing room.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SASSY OAKS shifted out checking WESTERN HONEY, causing SASSY OAKS to raced wide and lose ground. 

 

Race 11 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 – 395M

 

Even start.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, NAUGHTY MAX clipped heels and lost ground.  Entering the front straight, NAUGHTY MAX, ZABDON CHARLIE and RINDA DES collided, causing all greyhounds to be hampered.
