Race 1 – UBET TAPPY MDNPW – 331M

 

LADY OPAL and SHANAE WHO were both best to begin.  In the 1st turn, PAY TODAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, SUNBURNT SWAMPY shifted in which impeded then checked into SENOR DYLAN, causing that greyhound to lose ground.  MY BRO DOUGIE, which was trailing, was inconvenienced and lost momentum.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, PAY TODAY checked off heels, then shifted out and raced wide.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, COYBIG shifted out and checked into SUNBURNT SWAMPY, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. 

 

Race 2 – MARBURG HOTEL MAIDEN – 331M

 

MAM SAID was best to begin and turned its attention to the greyhounds racing inside of it, immediately after the start.  At the 1st turn, YAPPER BLISS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost significant ground as a result.  In the turn out of the back straight, STAR STORY improved onto the heels of YOU TELAM CHICKY, causing that greyhound to lose momentum and shift out.  MAM SAID, which was racing to the outside of YOU TELAM CHICKY, turned its attention towards YOU TELAM CHICKY, before both greyhounds checked and lost ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, CROCODILE TEARS was impeded, checked off heels and lost considerable ground.  Shortly after, YOU TELAM CHICKY and MAM SAID raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions, causing YOU TELAM CHICKY to lose considerable ground. 

 

The greyhound YAPPER BLISS underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound MAM SAID underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Connection to the greyhound MAM SAID was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69A Failing to Pursue 1st Offence, with the greyhound to be stood down for a period of 28 days, and required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 331m, prior to racing.

 

Race 3 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL – 331M

 

FAIRY WREN was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, MARCIE’S MEMORY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Shortly after, INQUISITIVE ME improved onto the rear of FAIRY WREN, causing that greyhound to lose considerable ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, both COMMODUS and FAST JUDGEMENT checked off the heels of RUN MONTY RUN, with both greyhounds losing significant ground as a result.  Shortly after, COMMODUS and FAST JUDGEMENT collided, causing COMMODUS to fall and take no further competitive part in the race, and FAST JUDGEMENT to lose substantial ground.  DUSTY DELIGHT was inconvenienced as a result of that contact and lost momentum.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, INQUISITIVE ME shifted in and checked with DUSTY DELIGHT, causing DUSTY DELIGHT to lose momentum. 

 

The greyhound COMMODUS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 4 – JUST ASK JORDO NOVICE – 331M

 

MASTER ZIMBO was best to begin, GIFT was slow.  In the 1st turn, ARRIBA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost significant ground.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, MASTER ZIMBO became unbalanced and lost ground.  PENUMBRA, which was trailing, shifted wide through the turn into the front straight.  Shortly after, GIFT and PENUMBRA collided, causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, GIFT and PENUMBRA collided, and both lost significant ground.  Shortly after, WILD CONNECTION and MASTER ZIMBO checked, causing MASTER ZIMBO to become unbalanced and to lose ground.

 

The greyhound ARRIBA underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MA5 – 331M

 

WESTMEAD DAFFIE was best to begin, BET YOU WILL was slow.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, SWIFT HARBOUR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost momentum.  LAST DRINKS raced wide through the turn out of the back straight.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, BET YOU WILL and LAST DRINKS checked, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.

 

The greyhound LAST DRINKS underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 6 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 331M

 

Prior to the commencement of Race 6, stewards’ walked the track and deemed the track safe to race.

 

Prior to Race 6 MOCHACHINI MAN underwent a pre-race veterinary examination, and was scratched as a result.

 

SPICE BUCKET was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, JET BLACK STAR, HAY WILLIAM and MIDNIGHT KEBAB raced tight and checked. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, SPICE BUCKET checked off heels and lost considerable ground.  JET BLACK STAR and HAY WILLIAM, which were trailing, were severely inconvenienced and lost substantial ground as a consequence. Leaving the turn out of the back straight, JET BLACK STAR and HAY WILLIAM continued to race tight and checked on occasion.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, SHADOWLAND became momentarily unbalanced and lost momentum. 

 

The greyhound MOCHACHINI MAN underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off fore leg and was stood down for a period of 7days.

 

The greyhound JET BLACK STAR underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind webbing and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 7 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS BEST 8 – 331M

 

GEMMA BENZ was best to begin. Leaving the 1st turn, GITCHA ALLEY checked off heels and lost ground.  IMA NECROMANCER and GALLON, which were trailing, were both inconvenienced.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, ONYA BENZ was impeded and lost momentum.   At the same time, IMA NECROMANCER commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the race.  Leaving the turn out of the back straight, ALBURY WAY and KEY FACTOR checked, causing ALBURY WAY to lose considerable ground. 

 

The greyhound IMA NECROMANCER underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind leg and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Race 8 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY BEST 8 – 395M

 

FREE SPIRIT and ARABELLA EMJAY were both best to begin.  Approaching the 1st turn, FREE SPIRIT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  ZENYATTA MISS, which was trailing, was inconvenienced and lost momentum.  Leaving the turn into the home straight, COMETRON FLYER shifted wide and bumped with ZENYATTA MISS, causing all greyhounds to lose momentum. 

 

Race 9 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 395M

 

ABELE was best to begin, BARBAR BENZ was slow.  Shortly after the start, KIM OSTI and ILLAWONG COWGIRL were tightened for racing room and checked, causing both lose to considerable ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, MAKO MAC was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  BARBARA BENZ raced wide through the turn into the front straight.  Just prior to the finish, KIM OSTI and MAKO MAC collided, causing MAKO MAC to become severely unbalanced.

 

The greyhound MAKO MAC underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 10 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE – 395M

 

BACK PLAY and PAVLOVA CLOUD were best to begin, DOUBLE OAK was slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, GEORGIE MAC was impeded and checked off the rear of PAVLOVA CLOUD, checking into ARCH RIVAL as it did, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.  Shortly after, GEORGIE MAC was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost considerable ground.  GEORGIE MAC raced wide through the turn into the home straight.  Prior to the finish, GEORGIE MAC shifted in which impeded MASTER DEAN, causing that greyhound to be checked and to lose ground. 

 

The greyhound GEORGIE MAC underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 11– SKY RACING 5TH GRADE (1) – 331M

 

MISS PAIGE MAC was best to begin, ALWAYS ALBURY was slow.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, POLLYS MAID was tightened for racing room and lost ground.  Shortly after, ALWAYS ALBURY checked off heels, became unbalanced and lost momentum.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, ALWAYS ALBURY was impeded, checked off heels and lost considerable ground. 

 

The greyhound ALWAYS ALBURY underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

 

Race 12 – ZILLMERE SPORTS 5TH GRADE (2) – 331M

 

WAIKARIE SYLVIE began awkwardly, RAIN ALERT was slow.  Leaving the 1st turn, WAIKARIE SYLVIE improved onto the rear of JIGGLE SPLAT, causing both greyhounds to lose momentum.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, JIGGLE SPLAT collided into RAIN ALERT and lost ground.  WAIKARIE SYLVIE, which was trailing, was impeded and lost considerable ground.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, GO THE SPOILS shifted out and collided into CYNDIE WHO, causing CYNDIE WHO to become unbalanced and to lose considerable ground.  Shortly after, GO THE SPOILS and CYNDIE WHO checked.  At the same time, JIGGLE SPLAT and WAIKARIE SYLVIE checked, causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced, and lose significant ground. 

 

The greyhound JIGGLE SPLAT underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

The greyhound WAIKARIE SYLVIE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
