Race 1 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND NOVICE (1) – 520M

 

GENIE’S GIRL began awkwardly.  Shortly after the start, ONE FOR MICK was tightened for room and hampered.  Approaching the 1st turn, GENIE’S GIRL collided with EMMA SAID, both runners were checked.  ONE FOR MICK shifted out and bumped RASHEDA, which was checked.  Through the turn into the back straight, EMMA SAID, GENIE’S GIRL, RASHEDA and ONE FOR MICK all collided.  RASHEDA, which was trailing, was hampered.  Out of the back straight, into the turn, RASHEDA collided with EMMA SAID, both runners were checked.  Out of the turn into the front straight, RASHEDA collided with ONE FOR MICK.  Over the concluding stages of the event, CHELSEA shifted in and collided with RASHEDA. 

 

The greyhound RASHEDA underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 2 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND NOVICE (2) – 520M

 

PAINTED PICTURE was best to begin.  CYNDIE SAID began awkwardly.  Shortly after the start, RED HOT GOSSIP and TAHBILK were tightened for room and checked.  On entering the 1st turn, IRISH ROGUE and BROKEN LOOSE collide. CYNDIE SAID checked out across heels.  Through the turn into the back straight, SHIELD ME became unbalanced, shifted out and collided with IRISH ROGUE, which was checked.  RED HOT GOSSIP and CYNDIE SAID, which were trailing, were checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, RED HOT GOSSIP was tightened for room and checked.

 

The greyhound RED HOT GOSSIP underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 3 – UBET TAPPY MA5 (1) – 520M

 

AZARIAH was best to begin.  EMMA’S MAGIC was slow to begin.  In the front straight, MANDELA CLOUD was tightened for room and checked out across heels.  On entering the 1st turn, SWIFT NIMROD, POWER OF PENNY and ONE DOLLAR all collided and were checked.  MANDELA CLOUD shifted out and collided with INDIAN GIVER.  Through the turn into the back straight, EMMA’S MAGIC collided with POWER OF PENNY.  Out of the back straight into the turn, EMMA’S MAGIC was tightened for room and hampered.  Through the turn into the front straight, SWIFT NIMROD and INDIAN GIVER bumped. 

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD MA5 (2) – 520M

 

DON’T KNOCKA TOM began awkwardly.  Shortly after the start, AUSSIE DIAMOND and MILLION DOLLAR bumped.  In the front straight, SPRING FORTE was tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the 1st turn, BIG TURLS was tightened for room and checked.  DON’T KNOCKA TOM checked out across heels.  SPRING FORTE and WAZZA QUEEN bumped.  Through the turn into the back straight, BIG TURLS collided with AUSSIE DIAMOND, both runners were checked. 

 

The greyhound BIG TURLS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY 5TH GRADE – 600M

 

SILVER STUNNER and SAY GOOD DAY were slow to begin.  LOCH FREDDIE was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, GALWAY PANTHER was tightened for room and hampered.  In the front straight, GALWAY PANTHER contacted the heels of BRITTANY TALKS, and was severely checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, BRITTANY TALKS was tightened for room and hampered.  In the front straight, BRITTANY TALKS shifted out and bumped SMART MARLOW. 

 

Race 6 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM 5TH GRADE (1) – 520M

 

BROTHER DESY, LET’S WIN BILLY and NEVER WALK ALONE all collided at the start.  LITTLE EDDIE and POLLY’S GIFT bumped.  Approaching the 1st turn, KULU COOPER was tightened for room and checked.  NEVER WALK ALONE and POLLY’S GIFT collided, shifted out and bumped BROTHER DESY.  Shortly after, POLLY’S GIFT shifted in and collided with NEVER WALK ALONE.  On entering the back straight, LET’S WIN BILLY and POLLY’S GIFT bumped.  In the back straight, NEVER WALK ALONE turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with KULU COOPER, which was severely checked and took no further competitive part in the event.  Over the concluding stages of the event, POLLY’S GIFT collided with LET’S WIN BILLY and was checked.

 

Connections of NEVER WALK ALONE were advised that the greyhound would be suspended under Rule 69 Marring 1st Offence, with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 28 days, and required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 520m, prior to racing. 

 

Race 7 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS 5TH GRADE (2) – 520M

 

YORREMUP and HAY BILLY bumped at the start.  QUIET SINCERE and ALPHA CHAOS collided.  ALPHA CHAOS was then tightened for room and checked.  On entering the 1st turn, YORREMUP, HAY BILLY and FERNANDO BLASTER all collided.  QUITE SINCERE checked out across heels.  Through the turn into the back straight, YORREMUP and HAY BILLY collided.  QUITE SINCERE collided with YORREMUP and was checked. 

 

Race 8 – FABERGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 4TH GRADE – 520M

 

RULE THE ROAD was slow to begin.  SHOES TO FILL was tightened for room and checked.  Approaching the 1st turn, MR. BELVEDERE checked in across heels and tightened the running of EMPIRE STATE, which checked out and collided with LOGAN CITY, which then collided with RULE THE ROAD.  Out of the turn into the back straight, SHOES TO FILL was tightened for room and checked.  Out of the back straight into the turn, EMPIRE STATE and LOGAN CITY were tightened for room and checked.  On entering the front straight, RULE THE ROAD checked out across heels. 

 

Race 9 – MARBURG HOTEL BEST 8 – 520M

 

WISE MISTY and JURY were best to begin.  ARDEN STREET was slow to begin.   Through the turn into the back straight, ALPHA LUCKY and SHOT CLOCK collided. 

 

Race 10 – TWITTER @ BRISGREYS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 520M

 

PENDITA was tightened for room and checked at the start.  Through the turn into the back straight, KALANI KARL, SHE’S SOME GAL and PENDITA all bumped.  Out of the back straight into the turn, COSMO CYNDIE and GIVE IT SOME were both tightened for room and hampered.  SHE’S SOME GAL was tightened for room and checked.  Through the turn into the front straight, AMBER MARIE collided with COSMO CYNDIE.  KALANI KARL and GIVE IT SOME collided.
