Race Reports

 

Race 1 – SKY RACING | Maiden | 395 M

 

CROCODILE TEARS was best to begin, SON OF VILLA was marginally slow. TUTA BRYAN was tightened for racing room and checked, immediately after the start, losing momentum as a result. Leaving the first turn CROCODILE TEARS shifted out and checked with WINTANA. Shortly after STELLAR STAR which was trailing, improved on the rear of WINTANA, causing that greyhound to become severely unbalanced and lose significant ground as a consequence. SON OF VILLA and CROCODILE TEARS raced tight and checked approaching the turn out of the back straight. Shortly after CROCODILE TEARS checked off heels and lost considerable ground. TUTA BRYAN raced wide through the turn out of the back straight and continued wide through the turn into the front straight. CROCODILE TEARS and SON OF VILLA raced tight and checked on numerous occasions through the turn into the front straight. 

 

WINTANA underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

Race 2 – ASSET BODY CORPORTATE BRIBIE ISLAND | MAIDEN | 395 M

 

NORTHERN GIRL was best to begin. The majority of the field raced tight into the first turn, with SUMMERPICK and ISN”T SHE JUST colliding causing both greyhounds to lose ground. TEJAY’S PRIDE which was trailing was severally impeded by ISN’T SHE JUST and improved onto the rear of that greyhound losing momentum. Leaving the turn into the back straight LADY NICOLE checked off heels, then shifted out and checked into OPAL BEACH causing both of those greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, LADY NICOLE checked off heels becoming severely unbalanced and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight ISN’T SHE JUST improved onto the heels of SUMMER’s PICK, causing SUMMER’S PICK to become unbalanced and both greyhounds to lose considerable ground.

 

 

Race 3 – MARBURG HOTEL | NOVICE | 395 M

 

WARRINGA was best to begin. The entire field with the exception of WARRINGA raced tight and checked at the first turn, losing ground to varying degrees. Shortly after STAR STORY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost considerable ground. BURRUM BOY which was trailing collided into the rear of STAR STORY and was severally inconvenienced, losing considerable ground also. BURRUM BOY then shifted out and collided heavily into TOMMY’S BEACH, with both those greyhounds losing significant ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight GITCHA QUICK was tightened for racing room, shifted out and collided with CYNDIE SAID, with both greyhounds losing momentum. Leaving the turn out of the back straight CYNDIE SAID shifted out and deviated its attention to the greyhound racing to its outside, making muzzle contact with that greyhound and causing both greyhounds to lose ground. MISTER MORK who was trailing was inconvenienced by this, checked and lost ground. TOMMY’S BEACH and STAR STORY which were racing to the outside, were inconvenienced, shifted out and raced extremely wide through the turn into the front straight. Leaving the turn into the front straight, MISTER MORK checked off heels, become severely unbalanced and fell, taking no further competitive part in the race. CINDY SAID, BECKONING CANDLE and STAR STORY which were trailing, were all inconvenienced by MISTER MORK and as a result lost significant ground.

 

MISTER MORK underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

 

 

Race 4 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS | 5TH GRADE | 395 M

 

DATA BASE was best to begin. YOUI and SMASHNIAK BATMAN were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground, approaching the first turn. SMASHNIAK BATMAN was impeded, shifted out and raced wide through the turn out of the back straight.

 

Race 5 – THIRTY TALKS @STUD | 5th GRADE | 395 M

 

FARCELONA FENIX was best to begin. MALUTKI was slow. RINGBARK BELLA and FARCELONA FENIX raced tight and checked into the first turn with FARCELONA FENIX losing ground. MY WINDSONG which was trailing, was impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight RINGBARK BELLA checked off heels and collided heavily into TOP SCORE causing TOP SCORE to lose considerable ground and RINGBARK BELLA to lose ground. HOOT and REGAL REPORT race tight over the concluding stages of the race.

 

Race 6 – ZILLMERE SPORTS CLUB | 3/4 GRADE | 395 M

 

COMETRON FLYER was marginally slow to begin. Majority of the field raced tight into the first turn, CYNDIE WHO and BIG TRIGGER raced tight for racing room and losing ground. Approaching the turn to the front straight CYNDIE WHO checked of heels and lost ground. Shortly after BIG TRIGGER shifted out with CALL ME AUSSIE.   

 

Race 7 – GARRARD’S HORSE AND HOUND | 5th GRADE | 520 M

 

MISS AMELIA and SMASHNIAK DOUBLE were both best to begin. CLICK COWAN was slow. At the first turn RINDA DES shifted out and checked into COOKIE NO CREAM, then checked off the rear of that greyhound and collided heavily into SASSY OAKS with both RINDA DES and COOKIE NO CREAM losing substantial ground as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the front straight WAZZA QUEEN shifted out to avoid MISS AMELIA which was yielding ground. 

 

MISS AMELIA underwent a veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – FABREGAS @ STUD | BT8 | 395 M

 

HAY WILLIAM and REGAL WAZ were both slow to begin. Into the first turn HAY WILLIAM collided into the rear of NITRO BEACH and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight REGAL WAZ and NAUGHTY MAX checked. Shortly after BLACK PAWS shifted out and collided heavily into NAUGHTY MAX causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground. NITRO BEACH and HAY WILLIAM raced tight and checked on occasion, through the turn into the front straight into the front straight.

 

Race 9 – BOXIPHOTOGRAPHY.COM | 5th GRADE | 395 M

 

POONYAHRA and INQUISITIVE ME were both best to begin. In the first turn TOOKA TRIP, BACK PLAY, BURRUM EAGLE and SLEEK STYLE all raced tight and checked, with all losing ground to varying degrees. CORY’S DIAMOND which was trailing was inconvenienced as a result and also lost ground. Leaving the turn out of the back straight INQUISITIVE ME was impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight, INQUISITIVE ME checked off heels and lost ground.

 

Race 10 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | 5TH GRADE | 395M

 

PENUMBRA and MODERN GODDESS were both best to begin. The majority of the field raced tight into the first turn with MAGIC PASS and ISADORA FROSTED both losing ground as a consequence. Shortly after MAGIC PASS commenced to yield ground, and took no further part in the race. Approaching the turn and also leaving the turn out of the back straight TOOK A RHYNO and GYPSY WILD checked on multiple occasions, with both losing significant ground as a consequence.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Race 11 – THE MANLY HOTEL | P5 | 395 M

 

LION’S BLUE was clearly best to begin. Approaching the first turn SHADOW COURT shifted in and collided into SHOW BEKIM, with SHOW BEKIM yielding ground shortly after and taking no further competitive part in the race. ODESSA which was trailing collided into SHOW BEKIM and lost ground also. HAY HONEY raced wide through the turn into the back straight and continued wide into the back straight. CHASING DOLLARS raced wide through the turn out of the back straight and continued wide for the remainder of the race.
