Race Reports

 

Race 1 – MARBURG HOTEL | PM GRADE | 331 M

 

MISSY ROSE was best to begin. CAMPFIRE KID and BULLSEYE ARROW were marginally slow. Leaving the turn into the back straight, YAPPER BLISS was checked and lost ground. TWO MORE MODELS which was trailing was inconvenienced and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, YAPPER BLISS improved onto the rear of CROCODILE TEARS, causing that greyhound to lose substantial ground as a consequence. Leaving the turn into the front straight, CAMPFIRE KID shifted out and collided into TWO MORE MODELS, with both greyhounds racing tight and bumping on numerous occasions over the concluding stages of the race.

 

CROCODILE TEARS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent were found.

 

Race 2 – BRISGREYS ON INSTAGRAM | MAIDEN | 331 M

 

COYBIG was best to begin. Leaving the turn out of the back straight FASCINATE PRINCE improved on to the rear of ROSAVILLA, causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground. At the same time AQUITAINE was checked and also lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight AQUITAINE stumbled and lost substantial ground as a result. BAILOUT raced extremely wide through the turn out of the back straight and continued wide through the turn into the front straight. FASCUBATE PRINCE and BAILOUT raced tight and bumped prior to the finish line.

 

BAILOUT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent were found.

 

Race 3 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND Maiden F | MAIDEN | 331 M

 

MY GIRL ELLE was best to begin. STEWY’S MAGIC, SNOWY HOFFSTER, TEJAY’S PRIDE and SNOWY HOFFSTER were all marginally slow. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, PARANELLA was impeded, shifted wide and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight, TIPPEE RIDDELL was impeded and checked off the rear of SILENT CANNONS, losing ground as it did. STEWY’S MAGIC and SNOWY HOFFSTER which were both trailing, were impeded and lost momentum. Midway down the front straight, PARANELLA deviated its attention from the lure to the greyhound racing to its inside. Shortly before the finish PARANELLA made muzzle contact with that greyhound.

 

Race 4 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD | NOVICE | 331 M

Prior to the race KALISKA’s CLONE proved difficult to be placed in the boxes and as a consequence was deemed hard to box moving forward.

 

NACHO GRANDE and BOSTON FLAME were both best to begin. Leaving the turn out of the back straight BOSTON FLAME stumbled, shifted wide and lost ground as it did. Immediately after TOP TACTIC deviated its attention away from the lure and shifted out towards BOSTON FLAME and made muzzle contact with that greyhound, causing both greyhounds to lose substantial ground as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the front straight, COOL WOMAN was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight, NACHO GRANDE was impeded and checked of the rear of KALISKA’s CLONE, losing considerable ground as a result.

 

BOSTON FLAME underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent were found.

 

Race 5 – TWITTER @BRISGREYS | 4/5 GRADE | 395 M

 

RACHEL TERROR and MODERN GODDESS were both best to begin. KRANKY and UNIQUE SPIRIT were both marginally slow. In the first turn KRANKY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost considerable ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight, COMETRON FLYER checked off heels and lost considerable ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, COMETRON FLYER approved onto the heels of MODERN GODDESS, causing that greyhound to lose considerable ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight, SHADES OF BLUE shifted wide and lost momentum as it did. COMETRON FLYER shifted in over the concluding stages of the race.

 

Race 6 – EXPAT LODGE BOARDING KENNELS | 3/4   GRADE | 331M

 

MAGIC PLANK and ZINCHENKO were best to begin. ZINCHENKO raced wide through the turn out of the back straight and continued wide for the remainder of the race.

 

Race 7 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY | 2 /3 GRADE | 331 M

 

BILLY WHO was very slow to begin. Shortly after start FARMOR HEAT was tightened for racing room, checked and lost significant ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight SHILOH RANCH was checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, INDIAN RUBY checked off heels and lost considerable ground. VAQUERO raced wide in the back straight. Leaving the turn out of the back straight, SHILOH RANCH commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the race.

 

SHILOH RANCH underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent were found.

Stewards advised trainer D. Isles to report any abnormalities over the coming days.

14.01.19 – Trainer D. Isles provided a subsequent veterinary report revealing the greyhound had sustained injuries to both wrists. Stewards advised trainer Isles that the greyhound would require a veterinary report stating it is clear to race prior to its next start.

 

Race 8 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | 1 /2 GRADE | 331 M

 

PINK TRICK was marginally slow to begin. Leaving the turn into the back straight, SHORT SESSION was impeded and lost momentum. Approaching the turn out of the back straight LADY OLIVIA and I’M GLAD were both tightened for racing room, checked and lost substantial ground. PINK TRICK raced wide through the turn to avoid those greyhounds, losing ground as it did.

 

Race 9 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE | 4 /5 GRADE | 331M

 

JET BLACK STAR and AERIAL DYNAMITE were both best to begin. SWEET KAOS was marginally slow. Leaving the turn into the back straight, BENNETT checked off heels and lost significant ground. Leaving the turn out of the back straight, MR. CRAIG US shortened stride and commenced to yield ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight, TOEY GAMBLER shifted wide and commenced to yield ground. Shortly after SWEET KAOS which was trailing MR. CRAIG US was severely inconvenienced and lost significant ground as a result.

 

 A post-race veterinary examination of TOEY GAMBLER revealed that the greyhound sustained an injury to the offside hock, the greyhound was humanly euthanized.

 

Race 10 – ZILLMERE SPORTS | 5th GRADE | 331 M

HARA’S HORNET was clearly best to begin. BOONY DOON BLAZE and WILBY ALLEN were both slow. Leaving the turn into the back straight, PARIS QUEEN checked off heels and lost ground. RAVEN JOE raised wide through the turn out of the back straight.  Leaving the turn into the front straight, RAVEN JOE shifted out and deviated its attention away from the lure, commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the race.

 

RAIN ALERT underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent were found.

 

Race 11 – SKY RACING | 5th GRADE | 331 M

 

EXCLUSIVE CHLOE was clearly best to begin. Leaving the turn out of the back straight, ON THE TRAIN checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the back straight, ON THE TRAIN checked off heels again and lost further ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight, RUN MONTY RUN was impeded, stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result.

 

Race 12 – BRISGREYS.COM | MAIDEN 5 | 331 M

 

JIGGLE SPLAT was best to begin. REGAL CYNDIE was marginally slow. Approaching the turn out of the back straight HARDAWAY TERROR improved on the heels of MISS ELECTRIC, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. DELAIR PEARL which was trailing shifted wide to avoid those greyhounds and lost ground as it did. MISS ELECTRIC raced wide through the turn into the front straight.
