Other Comments / Explanations:

Due to Government advice around COVID-19, in accordance with GAR 51(10), the Stewards directed the Starter to box the greyhounds into the starting boxes in the following order, 1 & 5, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8 for all races

 

General

 

Stewards were advised that the track surface was harrowed on Friday 8th May.

 

 

 

Race 1 - SKY RACING MDNPW 331m

1 Funny Honey- Quick to begin. Tightened approaching the turn out of the back straight.

3 Tuta Bryan- Late Scratching at 4.19pm due to weight variation GAR39 32.3- 31.0

5 Meg Mystery- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Bumped another runner when entering the home straight.  

6 Coquina Clutch- Marginally slow to begin.  

8 Hammer Drill- Inconvenienced when forced wider on the track entering the turn out of the back straight. Bumped another runner when entering the home straight.

 

Race 2 – SELL YOUR CAR @ MOTORHUBMAIDEN 331m

2 Special Lionel- Tightened for room approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Collided with another runner ending the home straight and was checked.

3 Call Me Marshall- Tightened for room shortly after the start, collided with another runner and was checked. Tightened for room through the turn out of the back straight, bumped on a number occasions and was inconvenienced.

6 Astonishing One- Collided with another runner through the turn out of the back straight and was checked.  

7 Mickey Two Rums- Collided with another runner ending the home straight and was checked.

8 Micks Recall- Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

 

Race 3 – GARRARD'S HORSE AND HOUND MAIDEN FINAL MAIDEN 331m

1 Everest- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Bumped with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight.  

2 Magie O'grady- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. Lost further ground shortly after when contacting the heels of another runner entering the turn out of the back straight. Collided with another runner entering the home straight and was checked. 

5 Rachel's Star- Displaced its muzzle in the starting boxes and raced with muzzle around its neck. Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked. 

7 How Cool- Slipped immediately after the start. Commenced to weaken when racing through the turn out of the back straight and appeared injured. Underwent a post-race veterinary which revealed an injury to the off hock and was stood down for a period of 21 days. How Cool received on-course veterinary treatment including pain medication. Mr Snow stated to stewards that he will enlist the services of his veterinarian as soon as practicable. Stewards will follow up on the recovery of How Cool. Acting under the provisions of GAR20(3)(v) stewards ordered a Veterinary certificate for How Cool be produced before any future nominations be accepted.

8 Leeroy Renegade- Had its heels contacted and was checked entering the turn out of the back straight. Bumped with another runner rounding the turn into the home straight.

9 (Box 6) Snuggle Pie- Collided with another runner at the immediately after the start and was checked. Tightened for room when acing through the turn into the home straight.

 

 

Race 4 – ASSET BODY CORPORATE BRIBIE ISLAND NOVICE 331m
1 Go Anna Go- Was tightened for room when another runner shifted down towards the rail, collided and was severely checked causing the greyhound to fall. Trailed field for remainder of event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which did not reveal any abnormalities.

2 Bonnie's Black- Began awkwardly and lost ground.

3 Bullaroo Flash- Had its heels contacted in the back straight and was checked.  

4 Skye Diva- Inconvenienced in the back straight.  

6 Last Drink- Inconvenienced in the back straight.  

7 Little Turbo- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was severely checked. Commenced to give ground and appeared to be injured and was caught by track staff rounding the turn into the home straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside hock and was stood down for a period of 90 days. Little Turbo received on-course veterinary treatment including pain medication. Mr Hagicostas stated to stewards that he will enlist the services of his veterinarian as soon as practicable. Stewards will follow up on the recovery of Little Turbo. Acting under the provisions of GAR20(3)(v) stewards ordered a Veterinary certificate for Little Turbo be produced before any future nominations be accepted.   

8 Onyx Duck- Quick to begin.

 

Race 5 – EXPAT LODGE MIXED 4/5 331m

1 Titan It Up- Slow to begin.  

3 Katie Who- Its was reported to the stewards that Katie Who showed signs of lameness in the catching pen after the event and was subsequently examined by the veterinarian. QRIC Veterinarian Dr Geisel reported Katie Who to have an injury to the offside wrist and was stood down for a period of 14 days.  

6 Farmor No Fear- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight.  

8 Tejay's Magic- Inconvenienced and forced wider on the track approaching the turn out of the back straight. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the offside hip support and was stood down for a period of 14 days.  

 

Race 6 – BOX 1 PHOTOGRAPHY MIXED 3/4 395m

2 Georgie Mac- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked.  

4 Annie Said- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was checked, losing considerable ground.  

6 Summer's Queen- Collided with another runner through the first turn and was severely checked causing the greyhound to fall. Trailed field for remainder of event. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr Elson inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of Summer’s Queen come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

 

Race 7 – FABREGAS @ METICULOUS LODGE 5TH GRADE FINAL GRADE 5 331m

General

Stewards assessed the racing surface prior to the running of race 7 and deemed the track safe for racing.

 

2 Surprise Package- Slow to begin. Inconvenienced entering the turn out of the back straight.

3 Dark Bandit- Tightened for room entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked.  

5 French Sugar-  Tightened for room entering the turn out of the back straight and was severely checked causing French Sugar to fall. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings. Stewards requested Mr Enright inform the stewards pursuant to GAR75(2) should anything that might have a bearing on past or future running of French Sugar come to notice of the trainer after the greyhound has left the course, it shall be reported to the stewards as soon as practicable. 

6 Vaquero- Quick to begin. Collided with another runner entering the turn out of the back straight and was checked.   

 

Race 8 – THIRTY TALKS @ STUD BEST 8 331m

1 Back Play- Tightened for room approaching the turn out of the back straight. 

3 Shadow Court- Displaced its muzzle exiting the starting boxes. Tightened for room approaching the turn out of the back straight.  

6 Hazy Whisper- Quick to begin.

 

Race 9 – TAB - LONG MAY WE PLAY GRADE 5 395m

2 Hey Macarena- Quick to begin.  

4 Klemmer Banner- Collided with another runner immediately after the start and was checked. Tightened for room between runners through the first turn and was checked. Inconvenienced approaching the turn out of the back straight.     

5 Flying September- Quick to begin.

 

Race 10 – FAST TIMES @ SIRES ON ICE GRADE 5 (1) 331m

1 Magic Ash- Contacted the heels of another runner in the back straight and was checked.  

2 Dame Esmerelda- Collided with another runner in the back straight and was checked. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed an injury to the nearside pin muscle and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

3 Nurse's Choice- Had its heels contacted when racing in the back straight and was checked losing considerable ground.

 

Race 11 – BRISGREYS.COM GRADE 5 (2) 331m

3 Farmor Carlton- Quick to begin.  

6 Fire Drill- Contacted the heels of another runner in the back straight and was checked.

7 He's Never Here- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

8 Hay Nanny- Collided with another runner approaching the turn out of the back straight and was checked.

 

Race 12 – TWITTER @BRISGREYS MA5 331m

2 Regal Emerald- Inconvenienced approaching the finish line.  

5 Who's Hope- Slow to begin. Shifted out to avoid heels when entering the home straight.  

8 Miss Beckboo- Quick to begin.
