2 Night Cry – checked leaving the back straight.

3 Tiny Tank – checked entering the back straight. Checked leaving the back straight.

7 This Is Real – checked shortly after the start. Bumped another runner rounding the turn into the front straight.

8 Bold Hornet – went up with the ids and was slow to begin. Bumped by another runner rounding the turn into the front straight.

Race 2 - BORGBET TIPPING SERVICE MA5 520m

2 Sheer Passion – checked approaching the turn into the back straight.

3 Galway Johann – collided with another runner in the front straight during the run to the finish.

4 Amby's Dream – checked rounding the turn out of the front straight. Checked across heels approaching the turn into the front straight.

5 Vesper Bale – checked shortly after the start.

6 Impatient Miss - checked shortly after the start.

7 Techno Hornet - checked rounding the turn out of the front straight.

8 Clocked - collided with another runner in the front straight during the run to the finish. Trainer K Hawkings was informed of Steward’s concerns of the actions of his Greyhound over the concluding stages of the race. After considering all available evidence it was given the benefit of the doubt if it had contravened any rule.

1 See Them Try – checked rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.

2 Hear Footsteps – collided with another runner rounding the turn out of the front straight.

3 Ninetymile King - checked rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.

5 Temper Tears - checked rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion. Collided with another runner rounding the turn out of the front straight.

7 Cheeky Nando - checked rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion.

Race 4 - GARRARD'S CARNIVAL CHASE (L) HEAT 2 OPEN 600m

1 Federal Desire – underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed no obvious injuries.

2 Irinka Lesa – checked leaving the back straight.

4 Ava Wine - checked and fell rounding the turn into the front straight on the first occasion. Underwent a post-race Veterinary examination which revealed the Greyhound to have sustained head and neck injuries and was immediately transported to the QVS Emergency Hospital for further assessment. Trainer D Russell advised clinical assessment of the greyhound revealed that it had sustained a catastrophic injury and was humanely euthanised. This matter will be referred to the Greyhound Racing Injury Review Panel.
