Race 1 – Bob Vernon Memorial Cap | Grade M | 366m

 

VELOUR RUMBLE was best to begin; WELGE was marginally slow. Approaching the 200 metres BRASH TITAN was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground. Shortly after, BRASH TITAN shifted inwards sharply.

 

Race 2 – Bob Vernon Memorial Cap | Grade M | 366m

 

CENTRE FIELD and ZIPPER UP collided immediately after the start; LYNNY’S HONEY was also inconvenienced as a result, with all losing ground. Shortly after, JASPER THE JET shifted in and collided with TRY THIS ON, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Just after the 200 metres, LYNNY’S HONEY and CENTRE FIELD checked and lost ground.

 

Race 3 – KEYBOW @ STUD | Grade NOV | 366m

ELLY BANNER was best to begin; CHEWING SHOES was marginally slow. ELLE MARINA and STAR STORY raced tight and bumped leaving the 200 metres. ELLE MARINA, STAR STORY and CHEWING SHOES raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions over the concluding stages of the race, losing momentum as they did.

 

Race 4 – ON THE CLOCK FOR TRIALS | Grade M5 | 366m

FIVE OF SPADES and BELVEDERE BABE were both best to begin. Approaching the 200 metres, FIVE OF SPADES and MONTAIGNE bumped and lost momentum. Approaching the final 100 metres, MONTAIGNE shifted out and collided with AYLA’S ANGEL with both losing ground. CHANCES commenced to yield ground inside the final 100 metres. Approaching the finish line, FIVE OF SPADES shifted in and collided with AYLA’S ANGEL, which also inconvenienced MONTAIGNE, with those greyhounds losing ground.

 

CHANCESunderwent a post-race veterinary examination and sustained a musculoskeletal fascia latae tear to the left hind leg and was stood down for 28 days.

 

Race 5 – HYPRO PET CARE | Grade BT8 | 366m

AMBER MARIE was best to begin; CARIBBEAN RED was marginally slow.  Shortly after the start, ALPHA ULYSSES shifted in and collided with SOFT SAND, which collided into CARIBBEAN RED, with those greyhounds losing ground as a result. Approaching the final 100 metres, SOFT SAND was impeded, then checked and lost ground.

 

Race 6 – CORNERSTONE RISK MANAGEMENT 5th Grade H | Grade 5 | 366m

POLLY’S GIFT was best to begin. EYE HATE CAKE and BANJO BLUES collided immediately after the start and lost ground.  TWEED GOVENOR, ONE WHISPER and HAY HONEY raced tight and collided shortly after, with all losing ground. Shortly after, ONE WHISPER and TOOK A SELFIE raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions. At the 200 metres, TWEED GOVENOR and TOOK A SELFIE bumped and lost momentum. BANJO BLUES shifted in sharply and checked off the heels of ONE WHISPER just prior to the finish, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

Race 7 – SHANE MURPHY PAINTING | Grade 4| 366m

KIMM’S CHOICE was best to begin; CAKES ALL ROUND was slow. DAISY DREAMS and THANKING PETER raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions at the 150 metres. Approaching the final 100 metres, CAKES ALL ROUND collided heavily into DAISY DREAMS, causing DAISY DREAMS to lose ground.

 

DAISY DREAMSunderwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 8 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS 5TH Grade H | Grade 5 | 366m

SPIRIT RIVER was best to begin. Approaching the 200 metres, HARA’S SHADOW shifted out and collided heavily into ALBURY WAY, causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

 

Race 9 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | Grade 4 | 366m

CORONARY CLOUD was best to begin. VIKING WHITE was momentarily impeded shortly after the start and lost ground. Approaching the 200 metres, GUNNA WINK and TYLER LEE raced tight and bumped on a number of occasions.

 

Race 10 – WWW.CAPALABAGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH Grade H | Grade 5 | 366m

ABOUT READY was best to begin. REAR VIEW, ARRIBA, SENOR MARINA, POTENTIAL and LANARK BLUE all collided immediately after the start and lost ground. Shortly after, LANARK BLUE was impeded and lost momentum. REAR VIEW shifted out sharply approaching the 100 metres.

 

Race 11 – HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAGS | Grade M5 | 366m

The entire field, with the exception of GIFTED PINES and TRADEMARK STYLE, raced tight and checked immediately after the start with all losing ground as a consequence. Approaching the last 100 metres, ROMAN SILVER and TRADEMARK STYLE collided and lost momentum.

 

SOL INVICTUSunderwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
