Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND MDNPW – 431M

 

Best away was FIRE STATION, with BLUE THUNDER BUD and ELUSIVE FANCY slowly away.  Soon after the start, IVY’S BOUQUET and BUD’S MILLAR collide.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, OUTBACK DESINTY and VALEGRO collide.  Entering the turn into the back straight, BLUE THUNDER BUD, ELUSIVE FANCY and IVY’S BOUQUET all collide.  In the back straight, MEERKAT WARRIOR and BUD’S MILLAR collide.  In the home straight, ELUSIVE FANCY was wide.  Approaching the finishing line, VALEGRO turned its head outwards and made muzzle contact with FIRE STATION. 

 

Connection to the greyhound VALEGRO was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69 Marring 1st offence, with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 28 days, and greyhound to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 431m, prior to racing.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN – 431M

 

Best away was REGAL REPORT, with STRAIT RUM and BUD’S KNIGHT slowly away.  Entering the turn of the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY checked off the heels of GOTCHA GIFT.  In the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, REGAL REPORT and MAYWYN ZEPHYR collide.  In the home straight, MISS EMMY was wide.  Approaching the finish line, STRAIT RUM turned its head outwards and failed to make contact. 

 

The greyhound MAYWYN’S ZEPHYR underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

The greyhound STRAIT RUM underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind foot and was stood down for a period of 14 days.

 

Connection to the greyhound STRAIT RUM was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69B Failing to pursue due to Injury,  with the greyhound being stood down for a period of 14 days, and greyhound to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 431m, prior to racing.

 

Race 3 – GREYHOUND-DATA.COM NOVICE – 431M

 

Best away was TAYLOR MAID, with DEVIL FISH and SIR RAVEN slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight, DEVIL FISH checked off the heels of SIR RAVEN.  In the back straight, DARBY’S GIRL was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, DEVIL FISH, SIR RAVEN and CHANCE ME BRO all collide, causing CHANCE ME BRO to fall. 

 

The greyhound CHANCE ME BRO underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was SMART WERINA, with OPPORTUNE KNOCKA and RZZIAI RAIN slow to begin.  Entering the turn into the back straight, ARFA SHOW OFF, HAD BETTER DAYZ and STRUDEL all collide, causing ARFA SHOW OFF to drop back sharply.  In the back straight, REGAL JAZZ was wide.  In the home straight, HAD BETTER DAZE was wide. 

 

The greyhound ARFA SHOW OFF underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 5 – CITY COUNTRY FOOD SERVICE 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 431M

 

Even start, with SPRING WINE slowly away.  Soon after the start, BONNE CHANCE and SPRING SAL collide.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, TOP VILLA and PINK AXLE collide. Entering the back straight, SPRING WINE and SPRING SHELLEY collide.  In the back straight, BONNE CHANCE was wide.

Even start, with SPRING IVAN slowly away.  Soon after the start, WIGGLE WABBLE, REGAL RECALL and LA BAMBA collide.  Entering the turn into the back straight, SPRING IVAN, NO LAYING BACK and REGAL RECALL all collided, causing those greyhounds to drop back.  In the back straight, NO LAYING BACK was wide.  In the home straight, REGAL RECALL was wide. 

 

Race 7 – TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS 5TH GRADE HEAT 3 – 431M

 

Best away was MISS AMELIA, with SPRING RITCHIE slowly away.  Soon after the start, MISS AMELIA checked off the heels of LILY’S BEAN.  Entering the turn into the back straight, MAHONEY and HARA’S REBEL collide, causing MAHONEY to race wide in the back straight.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, MISS AMELIA checked off the heels of GYPSY’S WISH.  In the home straight, MAHONEY was wide. 

 

Race 8 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4TH GRADE FINAL – 431M

 

Even start.  Soon after the start, COPY WORKSHOP, ROYAL PLAY and GYPSY WILD all collide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, GYPSY WILD checked off the heels of PIRATA.  In the home straight, SLEEK STYLE was wide.

 

The greyhound GYPSY WILD underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 – COFFEE AT RONIS MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was CAPTAIN TIL, with THAT HOUDINI slowly away.  Soon after the start, DAISY DREAMS, SPRING REINA and SPRING ROY collide, causing SPRING ROY to drop back checking FEAR NANCY.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, FEAR NANCY and THAT HOUDINI collide.  Entering the back straight, DAISY DREAMS and SAMUARAI PIZZACAT collide.  In the home straight, THAT HOUDINI was wide.

 

The greyhound FEAR NANCY underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Best away was RUMBLING JAKE, with PAY THE WAY slowly away.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, MOOSE MAN, PAY THE WAY and PINK COLLISION all collide, causing PAY THE WAY and MOOSE MAN to drop back.  In the back straight, top turn and home straight, PINK COLLISION was wide.
