Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN – 520M

 

Best away was LYNNY’S HONEY, with ZABDON ZINGER slowly away.  Approaching the winning post, NEXT EDITION stopped and took no further part in the event.  On the turn out of the back straight and in the home straight, EYE HATE CAKE was wide.  The greyhound NEXT EDITION ran in front of the lure in the home straight.  Stewards’ conferred and declared the Race and the “All Clear” was given.

 

The greyhound TRY THIS ON underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Connection to the greyhound NEXT EDITION, was advised that the greyhound would be charged under Rule 69A Failing to Pursue 1st Offence, with the greyhound to be stood down for a period of 28 days, and would be required to perform a satisfactory stewards’ trial, over a distance of 520m, prior to racing.

 

Race 2 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MAIDEN – 431M

 

Even start.  Entering the back straight, LOW IMPACT, RINGBARK WYATT and AYE JOHNS all collide.  In the back straight, and home straight, AYE JOHNS was wide.

 

Race 3 – SKY RACING NOVICE – 431M

 

Best away was LOGAN’S RUN and GODDESS MACHA, with MAYWYN WISHES slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight, WILD ROCK HAYZE, LET’S WIN BILLY and GODDESS MACHA all collide. In the back straight, BRASS ROAD and MAYWYN WISHES collide.  On the top turn, WILD ROCK HAYZE checked off the heels of RINGBARK AMY.  In the home straight, WILD ROCK HAYZE was wide. 

 

The greyhound MAYWYN WISHES underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 4 – TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS NOVICE – 520M

 

Best away was STOP IT LACHLAN, with ROAD SIDE ASSIST slowly away.  On the turn out of the home straight, KENNY SAID WAIT was wide.  Entering the back straight, GALWAY CHEETA checked off the heels of KENNY SAID WHAT.  Entering the home straight, WERINA ROCKET checked off the heels of KENNY SAID WAIT. 

 

Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 520M

 

Best away was MAYWYNS NOISE with BROTHER TREVOR slowly away.  Soon after the start, BUTTERFLY IS SHE shifted out checking PRATER’S RECRUIT.  On the turn out of the home straight, LIGHTNING WHITE checked off the heels of PRATER’S RECRUIT.  In the back straight, BROTHER TREVOR was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, SAIL SURFER checked off the heels of PRATER’S RECRUIT, causing SAIL SURFER to drop back checking ALLPA MAMA.  In the home straight, BUTTERFLY IS SHE was wide. 

 

The greyhound SAIL SURFER underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 6 – COFFEE AT RONI’S 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 – 520M

 

Best away was PRATER’S ACE and MAYWYN PROMISES, with the rest evenly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight, PRATER’S ACE and IT’S A KISS collide, causing PRATER’S ACE to shift out checking NOT TOO BOSSY.  In the turn into to the home straight, NOT TOO BOSSY and THUNDER OF FIRE collide, with MAYWYN PROMISES wide.

 

Race 7 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM FFA– 520M

 

Best away was RULE THE ROAD and WISE MISTY, with the rest evenly away.  Soon after the start, RULE THE ROAD and SLICK collide.  Approaching the winning post, TOPAZ TAN checked off the heels of LOGAN CITY, causing TOPAZ TAN to stumble.  Entering the turn out of the home straight, SLICK and LOGAN CITY collide.  In the back straight, ROI LEAR KAHN was wide.  Entering the home straight, SLICK was wide.

 

Race 8 – OWNER OF THE YEAR 2009 – CHRISTINE ROBARTSON MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Best away was AIM, with AZA ZEUS and LOBCHA slowly away.  Entering the turn into the back straight, DAY TIME FRIEND and AMARETTO HAYZE collide, causing AMARETTO HAYZE to shift out, checking LOBCHA.  In the back straight, AMARETTO HAYZE checked off the heels of NIGHT TIME LOVER, causing AMARETTO HAYZE to race wide.  In the home straight, LOBCHA was wide.

Best away was KYLE THE TANK and SMART WERINA, with MYONA MORPHEUS and RINGBARK MASON slowly away.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, SPECIAL COVER, KYLE THE TANK and SMART WERINA all collide.  In the home straight, SPECIAL COVER and SMART WERINA collide, with RINGBARK MASON wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, MR. BELVEDERE checked off the heels of SMART WERINA.  Entering the home straight, KYLE THE TANK and RINGBARK MASON collide.  In the home straight, RINGBARK MASON was wide.

 

Race 10 – FEMALE TRAINER OF THE YEAR 2009 – PATRICIA CARRINGTON 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M

 

Best away was RAPID STATE, with WILDASH TOM and STAR RISE slowly away.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, EL DOUBLE ONE and STAR RISE collide.  In the back straight, LITTLE LUCK was wide.  Entering the turn out of the back straight, SMACK DAB and STAR RISE collide.  In the home straight, WILDASH TOM was wide.
