Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN – 431M

 

FROSTY BLACK JAY was best to begin.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, FROSTY BLACK JAY was tightened for racing room.  BUD’S MILLAR and HYDE bump.  In the top turn, BUD’S MILLAR and NOIRE DREAM collided.

 

The greyhound BUD’S MILLAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN FINAL – 431M

 

NEVER QUIT was best to begin, COCONUT LASS and SPRING PHOENIX were marginally slow.  Approaching the 1st turn, ELUSIVE FANCY and WILD MAN bumped.  In the 1st turn, COCONUT LASS, ELUSIVE FANCY and SPRING PHOENIX collided, causing SPRING PHOENIX to lose ground and COCONUT LASS to fall and give no further competitive part in the race.  In the back straight, BLUE THUNDER BUD and MISS GRASSCUTTER bumped.  Entering the front straight, ELUSIVE FANCY clipped heels and shifted out.  In the front straight, ELUSIVE FANCY and SPRING PHOENIX collided on numerous occasions. 

 

The greyhound COCONUT LASS underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3 was delayed by one minute, due to a Redcliffe harness race.

 

TIGHT CIRCLE and HAVANA BLACK were best to begin.  In the 1st turn, COST A PENNY clipped heels.  In the top turn, REGAL REGARD and FLASH MAGIC collided.  Approaching the turn into the front straight, FLASH MAGIC clipped heels, resulting in HAVANA BLACK to be checked and both greyhounds to lose ground.  In the front straight, FLASH MAGIC and BONNY DOON BLAZE collided.  In the finishing line, TIGHT CIRCLE and DEVIL FISH raced tight.

 

The greyhound HAVANA BLACK underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE 5TH GRADE (1) – 431M

 

ONE EL was best to begin.  Shortly after the start, APOLLO’S WARRIOR was tightened for racing room.  In the 1st turn, WIGGLE WABBLE, HAD BETTER DAZE and ELUSIVE ARROW collided.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, SPRING FESTIVAL and APOLLO’S WARRIOR bumped.  Entering the back straight, WIGGLE WABBLE and ELUSIVE ARROW collided.  In the back straight, WIGGLE WABBLE and PIRATA collided. 

 

 

 

 

Race 5 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MIXED 4/5TH GRADE HEAT 1 – 520M

 

RATAJKOWSKI was best to begin.  In the 1st turn, SPRING WINE and DOUBLE TAKE collided, causing both greyhounds to race wide.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, DOUBLE TAKE and MISS SHRAPNEL collided.  In the back straight, REGAL TOPAZ clipped heels.  Approaching the top turn, REGAL TOPAZ shifted in, collided with EBONNIE on numerous occasions.  Rounding the turn into the front straight, SPRING WINE clipped heels, shifted out and lost ground.

 

Race 6 – TRUCK PARTS EXPRESS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 520M

 

VAQUERO and CRAZY BELLA were best to begin.  Shortly after the start, CRAZY BELLA and SNOWBALL CREED bumped.  In the 1st turn, VAQUERO, JUNK YARD KYLIE and FRIENDZ collided, causing JUNK YARD KYLIE to fall and give no further competitive part in the race.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, VAQUERO and CRAZY BELLA bumped.  Leaving the top turn, SNOWBALL CREED and TOPAZ TAN collided.  Approaching the finishing line, TOPAZ TAN and FRIENDZ bumped. 

 

The greyhound JUNK YARD KYLIE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM MIXED 3/4TH GRADE – 431M

 

Even start.  Shortly after the start, DAISY DREAMS, FARCELONA FENIX and ILLAWONG COWGIRL collided.  In the 1st turn, DAISY DREAMS, FARCELONA FENIX and LITTLE DOTTY TOO collided.  Rounding the turn into the back straight, FARCELONA FENIX clipped heels, shifted out and checked LITTLE DOTTY TOO.

 

Race 8 – COFFEE AT RONI’S 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M

 

Even start.  In the 1st turn, SPRING RUBY and BAILEY BE GOOD bumped.  In the top turn, ROSE HONEY and BAILEY BE GOOD collided, causing SPRING REINA to be checked, and ROSE HONEY and SPRING REINA to lose significant ground. 

 

The greyhound ROSE HONEY underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 9 - WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE (3) – 431M

 

Even start.  In the 1st turn, OUR CAVALIER and APACHE VILLA bumped.  In the front and back straight, NO LAYING BACK raced wide.  Entering the front straight, EL DOUBLE ONE and EL ROMANO bumped.

 

Race 10 – MALE TRAINER OF THE YEAR 2010 – MICK EMERY 5TH GRADE (4) – 431M

 

LA BAMBA was best to begin, with SPRING RITCHIE marginally slow.  In the 1st turn, KRANKY, ARFA SHOW OFF and KYLE THE TANK collided.  Entering the back straight, SPRING RITCHIE and SPRING SAL bumped.  In the back straight, KYLE THE TANK shifted out checking SPRING SAL. 

 

The greyhound SPRING SAL underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the near hind leg and was stood down for a period of 7 days.
