Race Reports

 

General:  The tracks was harrowed 60mm on Monday 12th November, 2018. 

 

Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM MAIDEN HEAT 1 – 431M

 

Shortly after the start, HIFI SHIAN and JOYLEY GIRL collide, resulting in JOYLEY GIRL to be checked, shift out an collide with BUD’S MILLAR, which in turn shifted out and collided with CRYSTAL CASCADE, resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, BUD’B MILLAR was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn out of the back straight, HIFI SHIAN was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. 

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING MAIDEN HEAT 2 – 431M

 

CHEWING SHOES was marginally slow to begin, MARVISTA was slow to begin.  Entering the back straight, WHAT A DIVA checked off heels and lost ground.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, WHATTA STORM was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound WHAT A DIVA underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side wrist and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

 

Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM NOVICE (1) – 431M

 

Shortly after the start, CHROME RUN and ROSDUE MATAO bump.  COCONUT LASS raced wide for the majority of the event. 

 

Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE NOVICE (2) – 431M

 

Shortly after the start, KENNY SAID WAIT and SILVER LUX bump.  Through the 1st turn, ROSDUE GYPSY and SPRING RUSSELL collide.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, SPRING RUSSELL was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   Shortly after, GODDESS MACHA improved onto the heels of NO MEDIOCRE, resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  In the back straight, OH SHE GLOWS and GODDESS MACHA collide.  Rounding the turn out of the back straight, SPRING RUSSELL and OH SHE GLOWS collide.  In the front straight, during the later stages of the race, ROSDUE GYPSY and MISS GRASSCUTTER collide. 

 

Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE (1) – 431M

 

FARMOR KA CHING was marginally slow to begin, and collided with EL ROMANO shortly after the start.  Through the 1st turn, CHIPPIES, ROSDUE MISTY, EL ROMANO and FARMOR KA CHING all collide, resulting in all greyhounds to be checked and to lose ground.  In the back straight, EL ROMANO checked across heels, shifted outward and was momentarily hampered.

 

Race 6 – WHITE ROSE BOARDING KENNELS MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 520M

 

Shortly after the start, BEE SOLO checked across heels and was momentarily hampered.  Rounding the turn out of the front straight, CALYPSO BAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   Entering the back straight, CALYPSO BAY was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   Leaving the back straight, BEE SOLO was tightened for racing room and momentarily hampered. 

 

The greyhound MAYWYNS NOISE underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5TH GRADE (2) – 431M

 

Rounding the turn into the back straight, SPRING REINA shifted out which hampered the running of SIAMESE DREA.  Leaving the back straight, ALPHA CHAOS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   ONE EL, which was trailing, was checked as a consequence and lost ground. 

 

The greyhound ONE EL underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off fore – split webbing and was stood down for a period of 10 days

 

Race 8 – ADVENTURE TOURISM AUSTRALIA MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 431M

 

Shortly after the start, ALPHA ULYSSES was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  Approaching the turn into the back straight, SHAKEY RANDLE checked across heels and lost ground.  Through the 1st turn, KYLE THE TANK was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.   In the front straight, during the later stages of the race, LA BAMBA checked across heels and was momentarily hampered.

 

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5PW– 431M

 

Shortly after the start, CAIRNLEA ROCKET and SPRING THIEF collide.  Leaving the 1st turn, NASH TATO was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.  

 

Race 10 – FEMALE TRAINER OF YEAR 2012 – RACHELSCOTT MIXED 4/5TH GRADE – 288M

 

SPRING REBEL was slow to begin.  Leaving the back straight, DANYO’S LOZZA was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground.

 

The greyhound LUCKMAN underwent a post race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.
