Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MAIDEN | 431 M
SHEER PASSION was slow to begin. Shortly after the start JOYLEY GIRL, MITCHEL JOHN, WOO WOP DROP and GUNN RUN all sustained interference and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight JOYLEY GIRL commenced to give ground and retired from the race.
JOLEY GIRL underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained an injury to its off side fore leg and was humanely euthanized.
Race 2 – SKY RACING | MAIDEN | 431 M
Through the first turn CENTIGRAM and BENNY’S ASSASSIN collide resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and with CENTIGRAM losing ground. Entering the back straight BENNY’S ASSASSIN sustained interference and lost ground. Shortly after MAYWYN’S VIXEN sustained interference and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight JUST FOR JAKE was tightened for race room and lost ground.
Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM Maiden F | MAIDEN | 431 M
Shortly after start PASSING NOVA was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Through the first turn WARM FEELING, ZABDON ZINGER, OVER TIME and LUCKY NOVA all sustained interference and lost ground. Leaving the back straight WARM FEELING was tightened for racing room and lost ground.
Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE | NOVICE | 431 M
WHO SAID SO was slow to begin. Leaving the first turn CICADA, TAM’S GIRL, WHO SAID SO and ISN’T SHE JUST all sustained interference and lost ground to varying degrees. HAIGSLEA FLYER sustained interference and fell as a consequence, taking no further competitive part in the race. Entering the front straight CICADA checked across heels and lost ground.
HAIGSLEA FLYER underwent a veterinary examinations and no apparent injuries were found.
Race 5 – CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS | NOVICE | 431 M
POSTY’S GIRL was slow to begin. Through the first turn BLUE JILLEM and STEAK SANDWICH collide. Approaching the turn into the back straight, PATCHE DE KAHN and CHROME RUN sustain interference and lost ground.
Race 6 – CANDY CANES | 5th GRADE | 431 M
Through the first turn ILLAWONG COWGIRL, POWER SERVICE and DOUBLE SPUR all sustained interference and lost ground. Entering the back straight POWER SERVICE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight SPRING REBEL commenced to give ground and retired from the race. Entering the front straight SURGENIE and ILLAWONG COWGIRL collide resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.
SPRING REBEL underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained an injury to its off side fore leg and was humanely euthanized.
Race 7 – JINGLE BELLS | 5th GRADE | 520M
CALYPSO BAY underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was past fit for race. Shortly after start BALLYMAC JAY was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Shortly after MY GIRL YASSAM was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn out of the front straight MAYWYN PROMISES commenced to give ground and finished a considerable distance from the remainder of the field. Rounding the turn out of the front straight TRIPLE CROWN FOX sustained interference and lost considerable ground. CALYPSO BAY and BELLYMAC JAY both sustained interference of this incidence and lost ground.
CALYPSO BAY underwent a veterinary examinations and no apparent injuries were found.
MAYWYN PROMISES underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained an injury to its chest muscle and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.
BALLYMAC JAY underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained an injury to its offside pin and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.
TRIPLE CROWN FOX underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained an injury to its near side pin and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days.
Race 8 – CHRISTMAS TREE | 3 /4 GRADE | 431 M
Through the first turn SPRING RUBY, DANYO’S LAZZA and THAT HOUDINI raced tight resulting in all greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight WILDASH TOM was tightened for racing room and lost ground. BE FEARLESS and THAT HOUDINI which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the back straight BE FEARLESS eased and then commenced to give ground to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field.
BE FEARLESS underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed it to have sustained an injury to its off side shoulder and was stood down from racing for a period of 10 days, it was subsequently charged under Rule 69B for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards on one occasion before returning to racing.
Race 9 – MISTLETOE | 5th GRADE | 431 M
Through the first turn GODDESS MACHA and CAPTAIN BLUE collide resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground, at the same time MAYWYN CASH and SPRING THIEF were tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight CAPTAIN BLUE improved onto the hind quarters of SPRING THIEF resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. Leaving the back straight GODDESS MACHA and CAPTAIN BLUE sustained interference and lost ground.
Race 10 – AWAY IN A MANGER | 5th GRADE | 431 M
SPRING RITCHIE was slow to begin. Shortly after start BAY OF MOJO’S was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight ONE FOR MICK and SPRING WINE sustained interference and lost ground, around into the turn of the back straight BERGARI was tightened for racing room and lost ground.
