Race Reports

 

Race 1 – ADOPT A GREYHOUND | MAIDEN | 288M

SPUR ON was slow to begin. Rounding the turn out of the back straight SMELL THE CHEESE, TWO MORE MODELS and CANDY MIX all received interference and lost ground with CANDY MIX losing considerable ground.

MY GIRL ELLE raced wide rounding the turn into the front straight. SPUR ON raced wide in the front straight.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING | NOVICE | 288M

BAN CHI BABY was slow to being. Shortly after the start MASTER TIDE shifted in and collided with FARMOR INFERNO resulting in that greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight FARMOR INFERNO was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Entering the front straight BAN CHI BABY was tightened for racing room and lost round. In the front straight in the later stages of the race KRANKY shifted in collided with MASTER TIDE resulting in that greyhound to be checked and lose ground.

 

Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | NOVICE | 288M

WILLBY ALLEN and FULL IMPACT were both slow to begin. Approaching the turn out of the back straight LUCKY LECKEY and APACHE VALLEY was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Rounding the turn out of the back straight BONNY DOON BOB was tightened for racing room and improved onto the hind quarters of ZULU VISION resulting in that greyhound to be severely checked and lose ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight BONNY DOON BOB and APACHE VALLEY collide, resulting in BONNY BOON BOB to lose ground. FULL IMPACT which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground.

 

Race 4 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM | MIXED 4/5 | 288M

Approaching the turn out of the back straight MARCIE’S MEMORY was tightened for racing room was checked and lost ground. ZULU BEAT which was trailing was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight ZULU BEAT and KOOINGA ERIN collide resulting in both greyhounds to be checked and lose ground. MARCIE’S MEMORY which was racing on the outside of KOOINGA ERIN was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Rounding the turn into the front straight SPANISH HARBOUR shifted out which hampered the running of KEEP ON GOING.

 

Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5TH GRADE HEAT 1 | 431M

Shortly after the start ROSEDUE KIRRA and REGAL REPORT collide. Through the first turn CAPTAIN BLUE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. READY CETTE and ROSDUE KIRRA which were trailing were both checked as a consequence and lost ground. Entering the back straight REGAL REPORT and CAPTAIN BLUE collide on a number occasions resulting in both greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Leaving the back straight CAPTIAIN BLUE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. At the same time READY CETTE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight REGAL REPORT and ROSDUE KIRRA collide resulting in bother greyhound to be checked and lose ground. Entering the front straight READY CETTE and ROSDUE KIRRA collide.

 

Race 6 – ADVENTURE TOURISM AUSTRALIA | 5TH GRADE HEAT 2 | 431M

Shortly after the start TOP VILLA was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Through the first turn BAY OF MOJO’S. THANKING PETER, ONE FOR MICK and CATCH ME KEITH all raced tight and checked as a consequence with all greyhounds losing ground to various degrees, with ONE FOR MICK and CATCH ME KEITH being worse affected. LAUGHING GEAR and TOP VILLA which were trailing were checked as a consequence and lost ground. Leaving the back straight SPRING WINE and THANKING PETER were tightened for racing room and lost ground. 

 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5TH GRADE | 431M

POINT SEVEN was slow to begin. Thought the first turn IWO JIMA, SPRING WTTLE and DOUBLE SPUR raced tight. Entering the back straight OUTBACK MANDRAKE was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Leaving the back straight SPRING THIEF improved onto the hind quarters of SPRING WATTLE resulting in both greyhounds to severely checked and loose considerable ground. At the same time OUTBACK MANDRAKE shifted in and made contact with the running rail and lost ground.

 

The greyhound SPRING WATTLE underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

The greyhound SPRING THIEF underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the NEAR SIDE PIN and was stood down for a period of 7 days

 

Race 8 – GREG STERNBERG VET SURGEON | BEST 8 | 431M

Through the first turn TUBBY TURNER HONEY’S PRINCESS DOUBLE OAK were all tightened for racing rom and checked to various degrees and lost ground. SNOWBALL OTTO commenced to give ground in the back straight to retire from the race.

 

The greyhound SNOWBALL OTTO underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 days.

 

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5TH GRADE | 431M

BLUE JILLEM was slow to begin. Through the first turn ARCHIE WAH WAH, SIENNA’S BOY and KULU RUBY all collide resulting in all greyhounds to be checked to lose ground. Leaving the back straight BLUE JILLEM, TAM’S GIRL and ARCHIE WAH WAH all received interference and lost ground.

 

Race 10 – GREYHOUND OF YEAR 2015 – FASHION ADVICE | MA5 | 431M

Shortly after the start SIRIUS STAR and GALWAY BLUEBIRD collide resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground. PAWFECTION which was racing to the outside was checked as a consequence and lost ground. Leaving the back straight MISS THICKSHAKE was tightened for racing room and lost ground.
