Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MAIDEN | 431 M

 

CHARDONNNAY MUM was best to begin. Immediately after the start BRAINS TRUST shifted in, which tightened the running room of ANGRY ANGUS, causing that greyhound to lose ground and check into MAD INVITE. GALWAY CLARA and LUCKY NOVA were also inconvenienced as a result of this contact and lost ground. Leaving the first turn ANGRY ANGUS and BRAINS TRUST both checked off heels then checked into each other and lost substantial ground as a consequence. MAD INVITE which was trailing, was impeded and shifted wide to avoid those greyhounds, losing ground as it did. Approaching the turn to the front straight LUCKY NOVA was impeded and shifted wide losing momentum as it did.

 

SUCCATASH underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no apparent injuries found.

MADAM KARMAR underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no apparent injuries found.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING | NOVICE | 288 M

 

ZULU ALERT was clearly best to begin. Approaching the first turn SUCCATASH shifted out and checked into MADAM KARMAR, became unbalanced and lost considerable ground as a result. At the first turn BOYZ ONE shifted in which impeded LUCKY LECKEY causing that greyhound to check off heels and lose considerable ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight MADAM KARMAR became unbalanced then came into contact with the running rail, losing substantial ground as a consequence. SUCCATASH raced extremely wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | NOVICE | 288 M

 

MAGIC MILLY was best to begin and FAKE NEWS was slow. Approaching the turn into the front straight OH SHE GLOWS and ZULU VISION raced tight and checked, causing OH SHE GLOWS to lose ground.

 

Race 4 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM | MAIDEN | 431 M

 

TWO SORE FEET was best to begin, LIKE BILLYO was marginally slow. Immediately after start OUTBACK DESTINY and DYNA ALITA checked causing DYNA ALITA to become unbalanced and lose ground. At the first turn SPUR ON, BIG MAN RUSTY and LADYLIKE GRACE checked, causing LADYLIKE GRACE to lose ground. LIKE BILLYO which was trailing collided heavily into LADYLIKE GRACE and lost substantial ground as a consequence. DYNA ALITA which was trailing those greyhounds was severely impeded and also lost substantial ground.  BIG MAN RUSTY and LADYLIKE GRACE checked midway in the front straight.

COCONUT LASS was best to begin. At the first turn COOPES was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. QUEEN WERINA and COCONUT LASS raced very wide through the turn into the back straight. At the top turn RATAJKOWSKI shifted in, which impeded COOPES, causing that greyhound to lose momentum. COCONUT LASS raced extremely wide through the turn into the front straight.

 

Race 6 – TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS | 5TH GRADE | 431 M

 

APACHE VILLA and ELI RED FAWN were best to begin. FERNANDO BEE was marginally slow. Approaching the turn into the back straight ELI RED FAWN shifted in and checked into ELUSIVE ARROW causing both those greyhounds to become unbalanced and lose ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight FERNANDO BEE improved onto ELUSIVE AAROW, was checked and lost momentum. At the top turn APARCHE VILLA deviated its attention towards the greyhound racing towards its outside making muzzle contact with that greyhound and resulting in both greyhounds to losing substantial ground as a result.

 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 3 / 4 GRADE | 431 M

 

KULU ZIPSTER was best to begin. EL DOUBLE ONE and CAPTAIN TIL checked immediately after start and lost momentum. The entire field with the exception of CAPTAIN TIL and KULU ZIPSTER raced tight and checked in the first turn, causing all to lose ground to varying degrees, especially FEMME FOLLE and EL DOUBLE ONE which both lost substantial ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight VAQUERO and GYPSY’S WISH checked, became severely unbalanced, with both greyhounds losing significant ground.

GYPSY’S WISH underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no apparent injuries found.

 

Race 8 – WHITE ROSE BOARDING KENNELS | BT8 | 431 M

 

HONEY’S PRINCESS and SPRING WATTLE were best to begin, PROPER GENT was slow. Approaching the first turn BELVEDERE BABE, DAISY DREAMS and MAGIC CODE checked. At the first turn HONEY’S PRINCESS was tightened for racing room, checked and lost ground. PROPER GENT which was trailing, collided into the rear of HONEY”S PRINCESS, became severally unbalanced and lost considerable ground. At the same time DAISY DREAMS and MAGIC CODE collided causing MAGIC CODE to become severally unbalanced and lose substantial ground. BELVEDERE BABE which was trailing was also inconvenienced as a result and also lost considerable ground.

 

MAGIC CODE underwent a post-race veterinary examination with no apparent injuries found.

 

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5TH GRADE | 431 M

 

CATCH ME KEITH was best to begin. Shortly after start ELUSIVE BALLARD, SHOOTING THROUGH, HIGH SHIAN and ILLAWONG COWGIRL collided with all losing ground as a result. At the first turn REGAL REPORT and IMPATIENT KID checked causing REGAL REPORT to lose momentum, at the same time ILLAWONG COWGIRL and SHOOTING THROUGH checked and lost ground as a result. At the top turn HIFI SHIAN was impeded and lost momentum. Leaving the turn into the front straight SHOOTING THROUGH checked off heels and lost ground. ILLAWONG COWGIRL which was trailing was inconvenienced and also lost momentum.

 

Race 10 – MALE TRAINER OF YEAR 2015 – COLIN BYERS | 5TH GRADE | 431 M

 

COUNT WERINA was best to begin, ALPHA RHEA began awkwardly and was marginally slow. At the first turn IWO JIMA was tightened for racing room and lost ground. TOP VILLA and GALWAY BLUEBIRD which were trailing were impeded and lost ground. Approaching the top turn COUNT WERINA shifted in and collided heavily into MALUTKI, causing COUNT WERINA to become imbalanced and lose substainal ground. TOP VILLA which was trailing collided into MALUTKI causing both greyhounds to lose significant ground.
