Race 1 – GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MAIDEN | 431M

 

COUGAR LADY and BULLAROO FLASH were best to begin. SHIAN RUSTY was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn SPUR ON, ALPHA HYMEH and ANGRY ANGUS raced tight and checked. At the same time CAWBOURNE ANSON improved onto the rear of BENNY’s ASSASSIN shifted out and checked heavily into SHIAN RUSTY which was racing to its outside, causing both greyhounds to lose ground. Immediately after ANGRY ANGUS checked off heels, shifted out sharply and collided into CAWBOURNE ANSON. Shortly after ANGRY ANGUS deviated its attention towards the greyhound racing towards the outside and made muzzle contact. SHIAN RUSTY which was trailing was severely impeded. CAWBOURNE ANSON, ANGRY ANGUS and SHIAN RUSTY all lost substantial ground as a consequence of this interference. Leaving the turn into the back straight, SPUR ON and BENNY’s ASSASSIN checked and lost momentum.

 

Race 2 – SKY RACING Maiden F | MAIDEN | 431 M

 

ALPHA ELENI was best to begin. Approaching the first turn SHAKE AN’ SHOW and LADYLIKE GRACE checked causing LADYLIKE GRACE to become unbalanced and lose ground. Leaving the top turn SHAKE AN’ SHOW was tightened for racing room, stumbled and lost ground. TRY THIS ON and LADYLIKE GRACE raced tight and checked on numerous occasions through the turn into the front straight.

SWEET OAKS and FAKE NEWS were best to begin, WHO SAID SO was marginally slow. Leaving the first turn ISN’T SHE JUST checked off heels and lost ground. ANGEL’S COMET and FAKE NEWS which were both trailing, were impeded and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight, CELTIC FEAR checked off heels and lost ground. ANGELS COMET and FAKE NEWS which were trailing, were impeded and lost ground also. Approaching the turn into the back straight CELTIC FEAR checked off heels and lost momentum.

 

Race 4 – ALPHA 390 FINANCE | P5 GRADE | 431 M

 

MADAM KARMAR and HAVANA BLACK were best to begin. Approaching the first turn BUTTERFLY IS SHE shifted out sharply and collided heavily into FARMOR SUSPENSE, causing that greyhound to check into ALPHA RHEA with both those greyhounds losing ground as a result. ALLEN KELVIN which was trailing was inconvenienced and also lost ground. Approaching the top turn MADAM KARMAR shifted in and raced tight with ROSDUE KOLA which was racing to its inside, then checked, causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground as a consequence.

 

Race 5 – DOVER & SONS | 4 /5 GRADE | 431 M

 

VALKYRIE NIGHT was best to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight DANNYO’S LOZZA checked off heels and lost significant ground as a result. SASSY OAKS and DANYO’S LOZZA raced wide through the turn into the front straight and bumped on numerous occasions shortly after, losing momentum as they did.  

 

 

Race 6 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS | 5th GRADE | 520 M

 

FIVE GALLON HATE and PAWFECTION were both best to begin. Midway down the front straight on the first occasion BROTHER TREVOR shifted in and collided heavily into PASSING NOVA resulting in both greyhounds losing considerable ground. At the first turn PAWFECTION shifted in and collided into DOUBLE SPUR with both greyhounds losing considerable ground. PASSING NOVA and TEN GALLON HAT raced tight and bumped on numerous occasions approaching the turn into the front straight. Leaving the turn into the front straight REGAL SAPPHIRE shifted in and checked into TEN GALLON HAT, with both greyhounds losing momentum.

 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5th GRADE | 431 M

 

DESTINI PEGASUS was best to begin. CIANNA’S ANGEL was marginally slow, leaving the turn into the back straight CIANNA’S ANGEL and WILDASH SEMI checked causing WILDASH SEMI to lose considerable ground. Approaching the top turn VANDERWEGHE improved onto the heels of COUNT WERINA causing both grounds to lose considerable ground. Shortly after COUNT WERINA checked off heels and lost substantial ground as a result. Leaving the turn into the front straight CIANNA’S ANGEL deviated its attention towards the greyhound racing to its outside and made muzzle contact. Prior to the finish line CIANNA’S ANGEL deviated its attention once again to the greyhound racing to its outside and made muzzle contact. CIANNA’S ANGEL fell shortly after the finish and sustained a fracture to the near fore leg and was humanely euthanized.

 

Race 8 – G J WALSH & CO 5th Grade F | 5th GRADE | 520 M

 

VISION OF LOVE was best to begin. At the first turn PRINCESS EMILY and SIAMESE DREAM raced tight and checked on numerous occasions. At the same time TYLER LEE was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost considerable ground as a result. ALPHA ULYSSES raced very wide through the turn into the back straight. Leaving the turn into the back straight, SIAMESE DREAM improved onto the heels of PRINCESS EMILY causing that greyhound to lose ground and check with SIAMESE DREAM causing both these greyhounds to lose substantial ground as a result. Approaching the top turn PRINCESS EMILY shifted in which severely inconvenienced AGENT’S CHOICE, which lost considerable ground as a result. PRINCESS EMILY and SIAMESE DREAM checked on numerous occasions leaving the top turn, resulting in both greyhounds losing further ground.

 

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5th GRADE | 431 M

 

HOT EMBER and STEAK SANDWICH were best to begin. The entire field with the exemption of HOT EMBER and STEAK SANDWICH raced tight and checked in the first turn, with all losing ground to various degrees. Leaving the turn into the back straight, SIENNA’S BOY checked off heels, shifted out and collided heavily into BOWENVALE, with both greyhounds losing substantial ground as a result. ALPHA PHOEBE which was trailing those greyhounds was inconvenienced and also lost ground. Leaving the top turn, READY CETTE was impeded and lost momentum.

 

Race 10 – OWNER OF THE YEAR 2016 - GREGORY BOARD | 5th GRADE | 431 M

 

RED HOT SPUR was best to begin. ELOISE, CAWBOURNE FAWNY and ALPHA HESTIA all raced tight and checked into the first turn resulting in ELOISE and CAWBOURNE FAWNY losing substantial ground.
