Race 1 - GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM | MAIDEN GRADE | 520 M

Bogan Warrior was best to begin. Fabian Feast and Natural Blue raced tight and checked shortly after the start and lost ground as a consequence. At the first turn Natural blue shifted out and collided into Ladylike Grace, which then shifted out and collided into Frosty Black Jay, resulting in those greyhounds losing considerable ground. Natural Blue then checked with Bit of Ripple, with both greyhounds losing ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight Natural Blue checked off heels and lost ground.

Bit Of Ripple - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Stewards spoke to licenced trainer Mr Michael Lalicz who stated that he was disappointed with the performance of his greyhound Bit of Ripple. Mr Lalicz further stated that he was surprised by the short price of his greyhound although   he did expect the performance to be better and as a result of it’s run, he will be giving the greyhound a rest before moving forward.

Race 2 – SKY RACING | MAIDEN GRADE | 431 M

Call Me Roxanne was best to begin. Kinslee and Lazareth were both marginally slow. At the first turn the entire field with the exemption of Call me Roxanne came together and checked, with all losing ground to varying degrees. Spur On lost significant ground. Through the turn into the back straight Velocity Sunrise collided into Big Man Rusty and lost ground.

Werina Rocket was best to begin, Full Impact was slow. At the first turn Lady Surprise and Woo Wop Drop checked, causing Woo Wop Drop to lose ground. Shortly after Lady Surprise and Werina Rocket collided, causing Werina Rocket to lose ground and Lady Surprise to lose significant ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight Two Sore Feet checked off heels and lost significant ground. Leaving the top turn, Woo Wop Drop was impeded and lost momentum.

Lady Surprise – underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 4 – DOVER & SONS | NOVICE | 520 M

My Bouquet was best to begin, Strait Rum was slow. Shortly after start Marvista was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the top turn All The Same, Whatta Storm and Mavista collided causing all greyhounds to lose ground.

Rosdue Kola and Hara’s Surf were best to begin. Diamond Robyne was inconvenienced immediately after the start and lost substantial ground. Super Cette raced wide through the first turn and lost significant ground as it did. Leaving the top turn Rosdue Gypsy deviated its attention to the greyhound racing to its outside, making muzzle contact with that greyhound on a number of occasions, causing both greyhounds to lose substantial ground and any competitive chance in the race.  

Super Cette – - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.

Race 6 – TREMBATH TYRE REPAIRS | 4 /5 GRADE | 520 M

Friendz was best to begin, Click Cowan and Monica’s Joy were both slow. Approaching the turn into the back straight, Brother Trevor checked off heels and lost significant ground. In the back straight Friendz shifted out, which impeded Haigslea Flyer, with both greyhounds racing wide and losing momentum. Skylark Brooke and Monica’s Joy raced tight and bumped on numerous occasions through the turn into the front straight and also in the front straight losing ground as a consequence. 

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5 GRADE | 431 M

Spring Daphne was slow to begin. Approaching the turn into the back straight, Prater’s Recruit commenced to yield ground and failed to finish the event. Shortly after Paua to Launch and Gypsy’s Wish checked on numerous occasions losing significant ground as they did.

Prater’s Recruit – - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off side back muscle and was stood down for a period of 28 Days.

Race 8 – WHITE ROSE BOARDING KENNELS | 4 /5 GRADE | 431 M

Impatient Kid and Zillie Bean were slow to begin. At the first turn Zillie Bean shifted out wide and collided into Spring Roy with both greyhounds losing ground. Leaving the first turn Pebble Bay checked off heels and lost ground. Zillie Bean which was trailing was also inconvenienced and lost ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight Zillie Bean was impeded and lost further ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight, No Mediocre checked off heels and lost ground.

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5 GRADE | 431 M

Velocity Linder was best to begin. At the first turn Sassy Oaks, After Glow, Bullet Pass and Velocity Linder come together and checked. Spring Eagle which was trailing was also inconvenienced with all those greyhounds losing ground. Farmor Inferno raced extremely wide through the turn into the back straight. Leaving the top turn Bullet Pass and Velocity Linder checked, causing Velocity Linder to lose considerable ground.

Race 10 –GREYHOUND OF YEAR 2004-PURE TORQUE | 5th GRADE | 431 M

Bogan Doll and Burning Oak were both slow to begin. In the first turn Gunlee Rocker was checked and lost ground. Approaching the top turn Bogan Doll and Oh She Glows collided and lost ground.
