Race 1 - | ADOPT A GREYHOUND | MAIDEN | 288 M

 

Chesterton was clearly best to begin. Ever Ready Eddy began awkwardly and as a result was slow. Approaching the first turn Cawbourne Shelly shifted out and collided with Magic Size. Ever Ready Eddy which was trailing improved onto the rear of Magic Size resulting in both greyhounds losing substantial ground. Leaving the first turn Cawbourne Shelly checked off the heels of Wildash Mickey causing WIldash Mickey to lose ground and Cawbourne Shelly to become severely unbalanced and lose significant ground. Ever Ready Eddy which was trailing then collided into Cawbourne Shelly, with both those greyhounds losing further substantial ground. 

Cawbourne Shelly - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 2 – SKY RACING | MAIDEN GRADE | 431 M

Spike Tail was best to begin. Crystal Cascade was marginally slow. Blitzem Biscuits shifted out and was extremely wide through the turn into the back straight.

Little Longneck - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | NOVICE | 431 M

Gotcha Scootin’ and Lanark Blue were best to begin. In the first turn Gitcha Destiny checked off heels and lost substantial ground as a consequence. Approaching the turn into the back straight, Maywyn Wishes and Fake News collided and lost significant ground. Gotcha Scootin’ and Lanark Blue raced tight and checked on multiple occasions through the turn into the front straight. 

Gitcha Destiny - underwent a post - race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to the off hind foot and was stood down for a period of 7 days.

Gotcha Scootin’ – underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 4 – GREYHOUND_DATA.COM | 5 GRADE | 288 M

Steak Sandwhich and Kyarna were both best to begin. Approaching the first turn Little Huggy and Red Belly Black were both tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground. Sirius Star which was trailing was also inconvenienced and also lost ground. Kyarna and Red Belly Black bumped at the turn into the front straight and lost momentum.

Race 5 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4/5 Grade H | 4 /5 GRADE | 431 M

Blue Texada was best to begin, Zillie Bean was slow. Approaching the first turn Luckman was impeded and lost momentum. At the first turn One For Mick was checked and lost ground. At the same time Burning Oak and Under Advice raced tight and checked. Shortly after Burning Oak checked off heels and lost significant ground. Approaching the top turn Broke Even shifted in and came in contact with the running rail, losing considerable ground as a consequence.

Broke Even – underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 6 – JUST GREYHOUND PHOTOS 4/5 GRADE H | 4 /5 GRADE | 431 M

Prater’s Promise was best to begin. Lilly Pilly Lass and Reactor were both marginally slow. Leaving the first turn Invictus Clive was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground. Leaving the turn into the back straight, No Confidence was impeded on a number of occasions, shifted out and lost ground as it did. At the top turn Double Spur was checked and lost ground. Invictus Clive which was trailing then checked into Double Spur and both greyhounds lost further ground.

Race 7 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 5th Grade F | 5 Grade | 431 M

Spritely Bill was best to begin. Sonic Boom and Kenatay were both marginally slow. In the first turn, Sonic Boom was checked and lost ground. Leaving the first turn Not Too Bossy was impeded and lost ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight Miss Milky Bar and Kenatay collided, become unbalanced and lost significant ground.

Race 8 – GJ WALSH & CO | BT8 | 431 M

Go Lassie Go was best to begin. Spring Daphne was slow. At the first turn the entire field with the exemption of Go Lassie Go raced tight and checked with Second Gear and Spring Wattle losing considerable ground as a result. Approaching the top turn Second Gear was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost considerable ground.

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM 4/5 Grade H | 4 /5 GRADE | 431 M

Get Shorty was best to begin. Blue Jillem and Chippies were both slow. At the first turn Gitcha Quick and Indiana Princess collided on a number of occasions with both greyhounds losing significant ground as a result. Leaving the top turn Gitcha Quick was impeded, checked off heels and lost ground.

Race 10 – GIDDY-UP 4 /5 GRADE H | 4 / 5 GRADE | 431 M

Sweet Oaks was best to begin. In the first turn, the entire field with the exemption of Velocity Linder come together checked, causing Do That Phoebee to fall and the remainder of the field to lose ground to a various degrees. Approaching the turn into the back straight, Rosdue Misty checked off heels and lost further ground. Leaving the turn into the front straight, Annie’s Magic improved onto the heels of Redneck Banjo, resulting in both greyhounds to lose ground.
