Race 1: GREYHOUND ADOPTION PROGRAM Maiden H | MAIDEN GRADE | 431 M

 

Eyeliner was best to begin. Greedy Grebe, Tipsy Four and Botanic Mistress were all marginally slow. At the first turn Ike’s Girl and Lightning Beach checked, with both losing ground. Approaching the top turn Greedy Grebe checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight Botanic Mistress checked off heels and lost significant ground.

Race 2 –SKY RACING MAIDEN H | MAIDEN GRADE|431 M

Where The Lady is was best to begin and shifted in sharply immediately after the start, which inconvenienced Immortal Man and Burning Arrow. At the same time Lord Sussex and Kinslee checked and lost ground. In the first turn, the entire field with the exemption of Where The Lady is, raced tight and collided, with all losing considerable ground to various degrees. Approaching the top turn Shian Rusty was tightened for racing room and lost ground. Approaching the finishing line Lord Sussex shifted out and collided into Cawbourne Anson, with both greyhounds losing ground.

Rocky Beach - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Lord Sussex - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Shian Rusty - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 3- WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM Maiden F|MAIDEN GRADE | 431 M

Alpha Eleni was best to begin, Mally’s Nova was marginally slow. Approaching the first turn Centigram was checked and lost ground. Approaching the top turn Centigram was tightened for racing room and lost momentum. Leaving the top turn Cunnamulla Fella and Mally’s Nova checked and both lost ground.

Race 4 –ALPHA 390 FINANCE | NOVICE GRADE | 431 M

Celtic Fear was marginally slow to begin. In the first turn Who Said So was tightened for racing room and lost momentum. At the same time Succatash checked off heels and lost ground. At the top turn Who Said So was severely impeded, checked off heels and lost ground. November Flame which was trailing was momentarily impeded.

Race 5 –DOVER & SONS | 5 GRADE | 431 M

Sweet Karmar was best to begin, Danyo’s Lozza was slow. At the first turn Cawbourne Fawny shifted in and collided into La Bamba and Rosdue Kola causing all greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the top turn Cawbourne Fawny shifted in and collided into another runner and lost ground.

Race 6 – BEENLEIGH LEGAL | 5 GRADE | 431

Like Billyo was best to begin. At the first turn It’s A Kiss shifted in and collided with Stealth Karmar, Rosdue Misty and Malutki, causing all greyhounds to lose ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight Rosdue Misty was impeded and lost momentum

Love The Look and Nash Tato were best to begin, Topaz Tan was marginally slow. At the first turn Topaz Tan checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the back straight Bonnie Chance was checked and lost ground. Approaching the top turn Nash Tato commenced to yield ground and took no further competitive part in the event. At the top turn Skylark Brooke was tightened for racing room was checked and lost ground.

 Nash Tato- underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to off hind back muscle and was stood down for a period of 21 days.

Race 8 –GREYHOUND GEAR | 5 GRADE | 520 M

Repeat Set and Wildash Jazzy were best to begin. Approaching the first turn Rosdue Kirra was inconvenienced and lost ground. Shortly after Rosdue Kirra was severely checked and lost significant ground. Approaching the top turn Outback Mandrake was tightened for racing room, checked off heels and lost ground. Rosdue Kirra which was trailing was inconvenienced and lost further ground.

Race 9 – WWW.IPSWICHGREYHOUNDS.COM | 5 GRADE | 431 M

Tictac Cloud and Doreas were best to begin. At the first turn Alpha Hestia was checked, shifted out and collided heavily into Vanderweghe. Immediately after Burning Oak collided into Vanderweghe with both greyhounds falling and Alpha Hestia losing ground also. Elusive Fancy was also inconvenienced as a result of that incident and lost considerable ground.

Alpha Heista - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Vanderweghe - underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injuries were found.

Race 10 – GREYHOUND OF YEAR 2006 - GO THE GAUNTLET | P5 GRADE | 431 M

After Glow and Velocity Linder were best to begin. Mustang Nova and Spring Nova were marginally slow. At the first turn Mustang Nova was checked and lost considerable ground. At the top turn Spring Festival checked off heels on a number of occasions and lost considerable ground. At the same time Velocity Linder checked off heels and lost ground. Approaching the turn into the front straight Jemma’s Magic was impeded and lost momentum Mustang Nova finished a considerable margin from the rest of the field.

Mustang Nova - underwent a post-race and veterinary examination and was found to have sustained an injury to near pin and was stood down for a period of 10 days.
